Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

I think the Sq Ft thing was implied for raised beds and gardens.
Ahh, makes sense. Thanks OL!
Don't quote me on that, it was just my take from what i recall.
I think its SF application from the Lab since its designed for larger applications, we are just
using it in much smaller gardens

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't a #10 container just a small raised bed for a single plant? ;)

Why would the dosage be different? If anything, I'd think you'd feed heavier in an outdoor raised bed, where the roots aren't confined to the container & you'd have multiple plants, than you would in a #1 or #10, for example.

A raised bed or garden plot has a lot more soil than the pots in an indoor space, while the canopy will be essentially the same.
So, if you use the SF dosage, you'll be feeding the biota more heavily. :Namaste:

My point, exactly! :thumb: That's why I don't understand why I should be tripling the SF dose! :hmmmm:

1 cu ft of soil = 7.48 gallons
:)

1000 sqft plot/30 = 32 sq ft of garden = 4 x 8 feet = 12 to 16 seven gallon pots = 84 to 112 gallons of soil, typically. That's how the original dosages were calculated. After 5 years, we've found that 1 to 2ml per soil gallon works best. :Namaste:

I understand what you are saying Krip and it makes sense BUT the directions say .5ml-1ml of drench per gallon of soil and Doc and others have reported that you can double that so 1-2ml and many are doing that with great success. With all of that said, your plants look amazing so there really is no need to change anything. I hope Doc or another vet brixxer will jump in and confirm or deny what I'm saying for doses. In my mind, I know it's correct but my mind isn't always on target, ha!

^ I did a buncha editing in that previous post.

Ah, there must be a difference in dry and wet. Water is 7.48.

I’ve tried .5-3ml per gal of soil. The low side (.5ml) wasn’t enough for the strains I grow. 2ml seems to be the sweet spot, especially the TP. On the OG and bubba Kush I find they like more, or they protest. Those two also need the snake oil, or a mg def will show. They are hogs.

Containers present challenges. The smaller the container, the bigger the challenge.

Essentially, we must make the soil "hotter" in small containers because the roots do not have the ability to search for nutrition like they do outside or in a large raised bed.

Let those get good and dry! Dribble a small amount of water on top in the next day or two so it dries out uniformly and the roots get back to business.
I’ll do that. Thanks Doc!

OK...That makes sense; but that being said, how would you recommend mixing the GE for a 10 gallon container and how much CAT. I have been applying about 7ml of GE to each, so far, and was planning on about the same amount of CAT but, it appears, I've been feeding them low (although, the plants look great! :thumb: ). Should I start tripling this???
