I'm guessing your rh is really low right now? I'm going to try and get the rh to at least 40 in the dry/cure room. 40-50 is the sweet spot. Below that they're going to dry pretty fast.
I usually hang them in boxes, at first you want the boxes open, I'd cut some holes in the sides too and put a fan on them. As they dry close the boxes up more and more.
Now if I was drying in a really low rh I think I'd keep the boxes pretty closed but still try and get some air circulating. Put a hygrometer in the box with them to see what's going on.
I'll stick the Hygrometer in the Laundry closet and see what I come up with, I can stack some narrow boxes with both ends open on a shelf in there.
Thanks Blue, that helps
I'd love to try some, JH must be good to have been named after a great man.hey I have a new stain in the family it's Jack Herer. Specially he pass away last year I believe I had to have one of his strain. I wish I could do the frost effect but my plant are too tall for the fridge. I have maybe one or 2 plant I will do frost effect if they fit need to buy a bigger fridge.
Bigger is better (fridge)
Mmmmick, what's up my amigo Wish they had a Smiley with a sombrero...Coming along very nicely sisco, they look great. Careful with anything below freezing though, a good frost is enough to kill your plants. I'd be more likely to give them a couple of days darkness before you chop rather than taking a chance on freezing them to death. Can't say how that would affect the smoke this late in the grow, though.
Are ya feelin' lucky?
I'll be giving it blasts of cold air for 2 min. each night for 3 nights.. this is what was recommended to me. If they die, then I think that will be a clear sign of failure and commence with the dry.
If they can't hang with the cool kids then they are weak and the weak must die! Buahahahahaha! Hey Budcicles
Yeah, so I figured just like you mentioned, they are at the end of the rope anyhow.
Keep them finger crossed and thanks for dropping by
