DNA Lemon Skunk Hempy Grow

just cruising thru....hugs to all, L:thumb:
Thanks for the hugs L, :thumb:
Looking great Sisco! Special thanks for sharing your advance pruning techniques with us :)
Not a problem BD, it's all in the wrist :tokin:

ps that looked like a cal mag problem?

I'm going to the hydro store today, gonna pick up some cal/mag and panda film and get to work. I think hempy/oc+ grows are fairly susceptible to cal/mag deficiencies.... I know you're not oc+ but it's a common issue on hempy threads. :peace:

I don't know what that was, Cal/mag is usually (from what I've seen) a discoloration of the leaf, this was not discolored, it was more like...burned.

Thanks for the visit brother :thumb:

Great place to hang sisco, I always enjoy your video updates. Looking very nice in the flower room, my friend.:goodjob:
Thank you sir Mmmick, it's always a pleasure to have such nice amigos.

you have some great varieties going there, and they look happy and healthy...hugs, and happy n. yr. ...L:thumb::thumb:
Thanks again L, Wish you and your family the same.. Take care, bye bye now.
Great video! I could almost smell the room~~ :tokin: Love your pruning method!
HI Tmac, I guess I need to change the Carbon in the filter :lot-o-toke: lol
Hey Nephew! Looking good!
Nice video too! I am not gonna say anything about cameras.!! :thumb:

Thanks Uncle OMM, me either...:smokin2:

Wish you all a fantastic New Years eve and Happy New Years! Be safe and take care.

Great video Sisco, your ladies are looking beautiful my friend...

Great video Sisco, your ladies are looking beautiful my friend...
Thanks L1Up, I have a problem with yellowing fan leaves, not on my Lemon skunk. I hope it's not root rot, I flushed them with 10 gallons of ph'd water and then hit them with a light nute mix of just FF Tiger bloom.

Does anyone know how much Hydrogen Peroxide to use per gallon? :reading420magazine:

Happy new year sisco!

Great video, Girls are lookin great!

Been reading through your other journals, just finished the Papaya, jungle wreck thread and must say that was a sad ending:sorry:

:peace:

Thanks my friend, and a Happy New Years to you! Yup, is that the one with the tree on the roof :reading420magazine: I think I got like an oz off of that grow, My Papaya didn't do to well, but the bud was good.

I'm having a problem with what looks like a Micro nute deff, I flushed the girls and noticed a stink like the water was sitting in it too long.

I'm freaking out a little, Root Rot is my worst fear. I started noticing some fan leafs on the lowest part of my Papaya and WW a couple days ago. Today when the lights came on I found that all of them were showing the same yellowing of the leaf.

Nothing like that is happening with my LS which is in it's own bucket, so I'm thinking it has something to do with the stink coming out the box.

Going to be posting my problem in the FAQ:reading420magazine:
I need to research on Hydrogen peroxide for flushing. I'm
Happy New Year Bro
HAPPY NEW YEARS!

Let this year of 2011 be the year our governments wake up and smells the Cannabis.. :peace:

Need help with a Hydrogen Peroxide question, you have any idea, on how much I should mix per gallon? Also, is there more than one kind of HP?:peace::reading420magazine:

I found it...

To water or mist plants, to soak seeds, to add to water used to wash sprouts:

TO THIS AMOUNT OF WATER ADD THIS AMOUNT OF 3% HYDROGEN PEROXIDE --OR-- ADD THIS AMOUNT OF 35% HYDROGEN PEROXIDE
1 cup 1 and 1/2 teaspoons 7 to 10 drops
1 quart 2 tablespoons 1/2 teaspoon
1 gallon 1/2 cup 2 teaspoons
5 gallons 2 and 1/2 cups 3 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon
10 gallons 5 cups 6 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons
20 gallons 10 cups 3/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon
bathtub (aprox 25 to 35 gallons) * 12 to 17 cups 1 to 1.5 cups
* bathtub sizes vary. It is okay to use more water and/or less peroxide.

Hey buddy sure hope it's not root rot. Buy the cheap stuff at walgreens or anywhere really and mix it one cup to the gallon, that should kill anything growing down there. Jeez it's always something with our plants. Just when things look like they're going great.....

Good Luck!

Hey sisco, I see you've got a handle on the peroxide, hope it clears things up for you.

Hygrozyme or similar products are supposed to work well at cleaning up any dead root material but they're a little on the expensive side. I'm rooting for the H2O2 to do it for you. Good luck.

Hay Cisco,

I use 1tbs/gal of the 35% stuff. Be careful splashing it around, man, that stuff burns... don't ask how I know ;)

After the peroxide kills all the nasties, Hygrozyme helps the plants clean up the bucket.

Happy Noob Year :)

:peace:

woaw now hold your horses. HYDROGEN PEROXIDE SHOULD NEVER BE USED FOR HYDROPONICS UNLESS NO OTHER OPTION IS AVAILABLE. I only use it to clean my DWC buckets and GH Water Farms after a grow has completed. What you should be using is either SensiZym or Hygrozyme. I use SensiZym myself and it will keep your water clean and your roots healthy and white like Santas beard. You use peroxide you are asking for trouble because that kills not only the bad stuff but also the good micro organisms that colonize your roots. A small bottle of SensiZym of Hygrozyme will only cost you 20 bucks and should last an entire grow, growing six plants hydroponically. Why people use H202 is beyond me. If you are having bug problems mix AZAMAX into your nutes and I also use a product called BUSHDOCTOR KANGAROOTS. All this stuff helps keep my reservoir water clean, biologically active (like it would be in nature) and also I can use less powerful nutrient solution because my plants can more easily take in what I give them. All in all if you are growing, these are products you absolutely cannot go without. Out of everything in the store I went to, these products were all in a glass case, not because they are expensive, but because they kept disappearing!

Thanks much BD, I have some here at home... I have in-law coming over tonight, spending the night so I can't do anything tonight. I really can't blame the plants, they were doing fine with their great genetics.

Just need to realize that when using such a big bucket you need to use Much more water to keep the oxygen levels up.

These Earth Boxes come with a plastic screen/divider. It sits about 3 inches from the bottom and holds the growing medium over the reservoir.

I'm going to pull them out by cutting the Earth box into 2 pcs.
The top half shoul be able to slide up and over the plants, then I'll try to lay the 4 girls down on it's side to slip off the bottom half. I'll then be able to check the roots and remove some if needed.

It'll be a messy job, but I'd rather try something than to just watch them die. :peace:

Thanks Mmmmick, I hope I can get by without it for now (Hygrozyme) :thankyou:

Thanks Horse, I'll try not to get out of control with the mix. Happy Noob Year is right. :thankyou: and right back at ya'.

Hey sisco, how is the peroxide working out?

Is it possible to cut back on the watering/feedings, or add more air to the nute mix with an airstone or even heavy agitation before feedings?

Hope you get it sorted out, those plants look so good.:thumb:

Mmmmmick!

I found out what the problem was, I didn't pull the plants all the way out the bucket, it was allot harder than I thought.

But, remember when The Rock lock turned out male or whatever... I ripped that sucker out and some of it's roots started to decompose down in the tangled roots of the other girls.

So, it was not from standing water. I flushed 3 days in a row with 1.5 cups of h2o2 per gallon x 3 gallons. The smell is not completely gone but every day I flushed it was less of a stink.

I'm not doing anything else to them, just going to ride it out and see what comes of it.

I'll never do that again without being 100% sure the sex of the plant.

They are still getting some new growth and seems the one affected the most is the Papaya, the other 3 not so much but I'm sure they all have been infected.

So, that's one more for the learning books..

Thats a relief, I was getting a little worried. So, are you going to a single plant per pot in the future, just in case, or sticking with your existing setup?
So glad this isn't likely to affect the whole grow.:thumb:

That sounds like good news Sisco, fingers crossed for you. One thing I've learned, try and keep dead stuff out of your grows. Dead cola leaves ended up costing me almost half of my last grow, they rotted the buds.

In perlite or other sterile media make sure you get all the little bits of dead and dried out leaves that fall on the surface.

We'll be freaking geniuses about the time we kick the bucket :thumb:

Hey Sisco! :grinjoint:

Sorry for not commenting more, your out of my knowledge boundaries. You've been having problems that I have no experience with. So just been watching.
Been learning a bit too.
Sounds like your on the road to recovery now, so good on you Buddy.
Props for your determination! :thumb:

I'm afraid it did affect the 4 plants, my LS is the only one in it's own bucket, so no problems there.

I would use the Earth box for sure, no more than 3 plants next time, maybe all of the same strain too.

Thanks Mmmmmick :peacetwo:

Sisco, glad you figured out what the problem is:thumb:. If your gonna ride it out do you think the hygrozyme would help with the dead matter still in the tub and stop it from damaging the live roots? Here's something I picked up off another site

Viruses are often transmitted via plant sap or dead or alive plant tissue. After a virus infection, it is important to remove all old dead plant material from the greenhouse before planting. *Use enzymes —HYGROZYME- to help reduce the effects of dead matter in the growing medium as it cn be used in conjunction with hydrogen peroxide in low ppm with effective results.

Whatever you do, :goodluck:

:peace:
Hey my man,
Yeah, the Hygrozyme sounds like a great idea, hope I can get some soon. Thanks for the info bud.

BD, Yeah I keep it clean as I can.. not going to carve out any dead roots, I'll live with what I can harvest. My mistake was not waiting for the RL to show me sex before I stuck her in with the others. Damn Fem seed betrayal.

It's not a problem OMM, I'm disappointed with this new learning experience, but will get through it.

My camera should be here today, so I'll do an update as soon as lights come on.

Thanks for the support and for hanging out my friends :peacetwo:

Hope the impact is minimal. The LS is unaffected, that's a bonus.

All we can do is work around each issue as it presents itself, but it would be nice to be able to skip the issues entirely for one grow at least. Keep 'em green my friend.:peacetwo::thumb:

Whats up with your clones?
