Ditching The Salt!

Greetings,
It’s nearly time to start a fresh grow. Everyone is invited to follow along. :yummy:

The plan is to grow out 9 plants, with 3 or 4 strains. The plants will be grown in a HOME Box, 4’ x 4’ tent, utilizing a 600w, F.O.G, Air Grow Pro III, LED and grown using organic, Biobizz soil and nutrients.

Yesterday the soil was prepped, even though I still haven’t decided on what beans to run. It’ll get figured out during the week. Nothing can be started before next weekend.

I’m sure the soil is just perfect out of the bag, but I added some coco @25%, worm castings, glacial rock dust and a little additional perlite. The coco should allow the pots to dry a little faster. I'm really looking forward to moving away from the salts. Happy grows!

Wish I was able to grow an organics grow, but I live in a state where I have to grow for volume to get enough for my ladies and my meds, make CCO for our wellness meds.

This will be my first all organic indoor grow. I'm hoping there wont be much difference in the yield. Maybe even a better result. What is CCO?

WooHoo :woohoo:
It's time to get the fun started. :thumb:
Hope everything is going well @stinker :high-five:
Hi Bill, all good here. Thanks for asking. Hope all is well with you.

Greetings! The tent was wiped down, the lights were re-hung and adjusted lower, and all electrical connections were double checked. Better safe than sorry! Ready now for a fresh grow.

The seeds have been chosen. Up next will be the Lemon Cherry Gelato, Bruce Banner, Laughing Buddha and Runtz x Layer Cake. The plan is to start germinating these seeds late tomorrow afternoon. Hope to have fresh sprouts going sometime next week. 😎

Hey Buddy my apologies if I asked you already but do you have a smoke detector up there with those transformers? :Namaste:

Stay safe

Yesterday afternoon the seeds were put between plates and wet paper towels to germinate. They were then put in a dresser drawer that was pushed up against a heater register. When checked this morning, the temp was holding @ 25c or 77°. I’ll check inside later today for any tails.

Here is the short description of the strains.
Lemon Cherry Gelato – 60% Indica - Estimated Flower Time, 60/65 Days
Bruce Banner – 60% Sativa – Estimated Flower Time, 65/70 Days
Laughing Buddha – 80% Sativa – Estimated Flower Time, 70/75 Days
Runtz x Layer Cake – 50%/50% Indica/Sativa Estimated Flower Time, 65/70 Days

This morning most of the beans had grown adequate tails to be put in the starter pots. A few can still use another day, a couple do look like they're not viable. They look sort of waterlogged and black. I have seen them turn around and sprout like this. Its worth giving them another day. Happy grows 😎

Hi Bill, all good here. Thanks for asking. Hope all is well with you.
CCO = Concentrated Cannabis Oil (FECO)!

Most of the beans have popped. A few are just slower and under the surface, they look like they will show today.
I prefer to use small starter pots rather than cups. They don't tip over as easy, are sturdy and already drain well. I find they are good for two weeks of growth. During the 1st week, pots are kept just spongy damp, added to the water is Root Juice, Acti Vera & microbes. The sprouts are now under 190w @ 45cm.
Choosing the beans to having sprouts seemed to go fast. Next week there should be more here to see.
Thanks for lookin! 😎

Your Bogan Queen has arrived! (Sorry I’m late…)
In style! :dreamy: Not late, just getting started.

----
Today is Day #1. Three sprouts were reluctant to show themselves. Yesterday they finally broke ground and showed clearly. Today they are pretty small compared to the rest but will catch up soon.

20, 5 of each were put in towels to germ. 17 of those were ready to pot on day, 2. Attached is a pic of the remaining 3. They were not planted. No vigor :rip:

After a prolonged break, I’m really looking forward to a grow. Thanks for looking in. 😎

Day 6 is nearly over. The main stems are turning green and hardening off. Tuesday they were watered to runoff for the first time. The EC was 1.3. Most of that was from fish juice. Tonight we start feeding with the JuJu Royal. A couple of the Lemon Cherry Gelato are displaying some mutations. Usually they grow out of it. We will see. 😎
