DirtyDanny's 600 Watt LED Grow

I believe they do.............there was a tight mass of very fine roots amoung the larger roots.
The entire root ball was very solid ..................it wasnt root bound per say.......just a very tight network of both large and small roots.
I think I ran outta room down there long ago..........If I had bought the 15gal instead of the 7gal pot, my girl would have probably produced even better.
I think approx 6 oz's from a single plant is pretty damn good though.........but Im willing to bet that would have been doubled in a 15gal airpot:thumb:

O yea this plant looks great, I would enter in next months POTM if i where you just to see, but going to be lots of outdoor giants I bet since time of year.

My current plan for next grow is 400W LED and 2 plants in 15 gallon airpots in 3'X3' tent with scrog. Need $$$ for set up though, just spent $550 on plane ticket for family thing that was un-expected :(.

The company that I bought my light from would sell ya a 400 watter for a really good price.........I think the price list was roughly $1 a watt............although shipping was a bit expensive.
But my grow was proof that they work well........and less than 1/2 the price of the same light thats resold under an American company.
Just something to chew on:hmmm:

I hear you Danny, but I am pretty stubborn about buying US made.

very nice, sounds like you harvested at the perfect time, i like to harvest around 30 to 40% amber as the trichs will still develop for a couple of days after harvest so you may end up with slightly more amber, not many but i do notice the trichs still change for the first day or 2 after harvest.

buds look great, it will be a good entry for plant of the month then get one of the big buds cured and enter it into bud of the month contest, again id say its got every chance of winning,

well done, you clearly got a nice weight as well, most do say you lose around 70% but ive only lost that much weight when i had an auto that was a bit light and fluffy, im getting around 60% less weight but on the ak47 x uk cherry cheese i had less than that so it will vary on how much weight it loses, i also find i lose more weight when i use the dwc, for some reason they seem to hold more moisture in a dwc grown plant, plus i also dont water my soil grown plants for the last week so they lose a lot of moisture before i actaully harvest then, i flush about 10 days before if i flush or i just use plain water for the last 2 weeks then the last week i dont give any water.

very nice harvest, i think the led's are really coming into their own now, when they first came out as grow lights a couple of years ago they was very poor and it put me off trying them, but the results led's get now is pretty amazing, so i might even hit up an led when i set up my seperate veg room, if i like the results then ill buy 3 in total but its a lot of cash to part with in one go so ill possibly just order 1 to replace the 400watt hps and see how it does,

ok.............so it seems that the general concensus says that you lose about 75% of your wet weight during drying, and a bit less if the nugs are nice, tight, and dense.
If thats the case, i should end up with approx 6.14 oz's conservatively...........:thumb:
Maybe a bit more as all the colas are very heavy and dense for their size.
Im pretty sure thats way better than ive ever done in a indoor grow from a single plant.......i think i remember hitting like 3.5 oz's once a long time ago.
Yes sir.....i like it alot:)
bee-you-t-ful harvest!!

I hear you Danny, but I am pretty stubborn about buying US made.

Me too bro, im all about supporting my own...........but after alot of research it seems that 99% of these panels are all made in China anyways. They are just purchased in bulk and resold for double the price under an American company.
You might get a lil better customer service with a company within the US......but does that justify more than DOUBLE the price????
Im not trying to promote my LED panel.....I could care or less if anybody buys them or not..........just thought I would enlighten you about the truth........and save ya some hard earned cash to boot.......:thumb:

Thanks for the comments Donpaul..........
I sure hope your right about only losing 60% of their weight..........it would calculate to be roughly a 9-3/4 oz harvest as compared to a 6 oz harvest!!!! I would totally shit myself if I ended up with over a 1/2# of quality medicinal nugs:yahoo:
The LED panel performed quite well in my opinion.............actually MUCH better than i ever imagined.
The colas werent quite as large as I used to get with HPS........but the density and weight has more than made up for it, and surpassed the HPS by far.....
I was skeptical at first about using LED's.........thats why I went with a much cheaper brand.
Even though I think that $700 is ALOT for a light (as compared to a $200 HPS) it will have paid for itself 5-6 times over from just the 1st harvest (depending on final dried weight):high-five:
Im a led "believer" now.........They work!

O yea I figured that out, if you go to alibaba you can see what appears to be exact same light. But I think I found a company that is really USA made along with their diodes. I can't say who cause not sponsor, but if you curious PM me. :):high-five:

That would be great if an American made product could compete pricewise......I would buy it in a heartbeat!
But sadly.....I dont think that they could for any amount of time, due to the higher wages and more costly overhead in the US......
The majority of people will almost always go with the cheaper product.............sad but true.
The tables are slowly turning though..........as China is becoming more of a "middle class" country every day. They are starting to reconize civil rights more and more, and having to pay their workers more....
Give it a decade or so and China will be in the same boat that we are in now.......
India will be the new China...........But the real question is........where will we be?????

So true, and no this brand does not compete price wise, but they have program to get at 40% off if keep a online journal. I am saying too much in public lol.

And I could say more, but do not want to get into politics on here, almost did in some other threads but stopped myself, and I am a VERY vocal person about politics :peace::thumb::)

been away for awhile but caught up now.....incredible grow DD.......changed my set up around and finally got things moving in a positive direction.......my first wont be nothing in comparison to yours........much reps

Thanks for the kind words guys/gals..............:thanks:
I have a short smoke report because there isnt much to say about it...........
Its FREAKING very strong and stoney/couchlock type of buzz:thumb:
It starts off with a very nice and mellow head high, but it creeps up on ya in about 5 minutes after you toke.
A very strong and relaxing (better than my prescribed muscle relaxers and/or pain meds) veil of tranquilty slowly moves from your head down through your entire body..........Very nice, very nice indeed:smokin2:
Cant wait until its properly cured.............should be even better!
Thanks again to any and all that guided me through my 1st indoor grow in MANY years.........Im very happy with the results, and I have enough "cannaceuticals" now to last me for quite the while.......:cheertwo:

do u have a final dry weight yet i know u loose some weight in curing to but just thought you would like to share or early nug view lol i love porn what can i say....Cheers !

Actually..............I lost ALOT of weight and still losing :o(
Yesterday when I weighed em.........I was just over 6.5 OZ
They are pretty dry (i believe the centers of the larger colas are still a bit moist), but VERY sticky.............. like throw them at the wall and they stick kind of sticky:thumb:
I think I will lose another 1/2oz or so during the cure in the rubbermaid container........

The buds turned a bit of a dirty green color and lost all of their lime green color :o(
But the smoke is smooth, earthy, danky and of excellent quality!!!!!!
Definately a keeper crop!:thumb:
I havent even tried any of the larger colas yet......just been tokin on the smaller popcorn buds.
Im willing to bet that the large colas will be super potent as they received alot more light than the smaller lower nugs.....

thanks for sharing :) 6 oz is still really nice looks like some premium buds bro i would break some of thos bigger buds a part u dont want mold to hit. whats ur burping time n ings ?? over all looks great !
