Dick23rk Returns, Perpetual Indoor Gardens, 10'x12' Veg & Bloom, T5's, LED, HPS

Thanks Bobby and welcome! Yes, I also use it with every feed. I've just never needed quite that much to keep them happy is all, it's seems to have slowed down now tonight and have had some awesome growth in both rooms the last 24 hours. Update to come soon, been working all day.

3-5 tsp? In how much water? Seems like an aweful lot

Update time!! Hope everyone is having a good day! Worked a long day today so I didn't get to check in on the plants as much, just peeked at the babies this morning before leaving. Quite a bit of difference in the last 24 hours in both rooms, lots of growth and development. Let's get to it and have a look!

-----------------

Seedlings are just plain loving life today, I looked this morning at lights on and it didn't seem like there was a whole lot of growth overnight, but the roots we're sure hard at work I'd say because the growth in the 14 hours I was gone is awesome, should have snapped a picture.

The one wee skinny Tutankhamon appears to be doing well now also, still a bit of paleness in there but strutting herself stuff and still growing well so I'm not worried. Likely just a seed or genetic defect..

The pots are starting to dry up, still some weight to them though. Had the domes on all day while gone so I think that really helped them as well, won't be long and I won't be able to use them. Either tomorrow night or Saturday morning they should be dry enough and ready for their first little feed.

Day 9 - Seedling Station
Tutankhamon

The flower room is starting to get a light green flowery smell to it, sure sign it's time for buds! I'm going to say these 2 had a very short flower stretch, barely a week and a half. They might stretch a bit more but I think it's over, bud sites are starting to form up top now. Moby Dick started out at 11" and is now at 20", NL x Big Bud started at 12" and is now at 19", all in 11 days, not too bad.

Moby Dick seems to be doing well after noticing the magnesium deficiency, the feed with extra calmag seems to have slowed it down, doesn't look like anymore leaves are turning as fast as they were. Will keep an eye on her but she should be fine.

Bloom nutes are on the schedule for next feed, let's see them buds grow!

Ha, I meant 3-5 ml. Thanks for correcting me. Your girls look happy.

Hey man, I'm gonna tag along if that's cool. I'm sorta jelous of the space you have lol. I had to get a small tent to veg in and it's sorta crowded. We put our plants into flower and planted our seedlings both almost on the same days. It'll be cool to see the differences between them. Have a good one and good luck!

Hey there dude! I’ll come along for the ride. That’s a hell of a setup you have going. Sounds perfect for perpetual. You’ll have so many massive flowers very soon lol :). A good problem to have. Looking forward to the show. Happy growing!

Haha no worries. I thought maybe you knew something I didn't lol.
Yep fairly happy so far, no complaints!

Hey cookie, thanks for stopping by, pull up a seat wherever you like. The space I have was made for exactly that, "space". I hate not being able to move around and being in clutter, needed places to out everything. Took some time to get it all done to what it is now, been slowly updating and upgrading.

I will have to stop over to your journal here soon when I get some time to have a look at what you have going on. Thanks again!

Hey budz, always happy to have ya! Thanks as well. I'm hoping to get a good cycle going here of 4 to 6 plants every time. I still have lots of room in the flower side even after vegging out 6 plants to out in there. I think in another month or so I could start 4 more but would likely need more light again, see what happens.

Well hello folks! I think it's time for a thorough update again, it's been a pretty busy few days work wise so I was a little slack haha. Everything still seems to be chugging along nicely though, lets have a look.

Seedlings are starting to show some pretty vigorous growth now, 3rd leaf sets are all starting to pop out. Will soon be time for a transplant to a 1 gallon container, I will try to inspect the root system in one of them later today to make sure they're ready, might have to wait til next weekend. It's about time to keep the humidity domes off for good as well, couple of the larger leaves are starting to touch the sides, darn babies outgrowing their clothes!

They all got their first feeding about a week early, lets push em! I fed them Friday night and so far they seem to be taking it very well, no burns or adverse effects. I'd be interested to hear some of your stories of feeding plants early and pushing them to the limits, would be interesting. Here is what they got for their first feeding from me on day 10..
*Values are per gallon of water*
Micro - 1ml, Grow - 2ml, Bloom - 1ml, Rapid Start - 2ml, Calmag - 2ml, Armour Si - 1ml
Fairly strong for their first go around, but nothing too crazy! I'm not trying to kill them lol Next feeding will likely be the same since I only used 1/2 of the gallon I made. Without the humidity domes on they will likely need more in a couple of days.

Day 12 - Seedling Station
Tutankhamon

The flowering couple are still doing great, seems like I got another inch or 2 of growth out of the Moby Dick after I thought the stretch had slowed down lol Kind of surprised me, had to move the lights up again since I noticed the canopy temps were getting high again, like 36. Another week or 2 I am expecting those light hoods, darn china shipping.

The magnesium deficiency seems to have stopped getting worse since upping to 5ml calmag, that's a good sign, I will continue at that amount for both. Both will also get fed again sometime today, pots are starting to lighten up. Got mix already made up for them which consists of the following.. (done with rapid start now, starting koolbloom)
Micro - 2ml, Grow - 2ml, Bloom - 8ml, Diamond Nectar - 2.5ml, Flora Blend - 2ml, Liquid Koolbloom - 2.5ml, CalMag - 5ml, Armour Si - 2ml

I'm also thinking about doing my flower stage defoliation today since the stretch is pretty much over, the budsites are forming nicely now and we need to get light to the lower areas of the branches.

Day 14 - Flowering Room
Moby Dick + NL x Big Bud

Sorry for the lack of quality photos lately, really need to get on that lol. On the plus side I did grab a couple of natural light shots last night for the flowering ladies when the lights went out.
Have a great day folks, keep it green!

Well, hopefully I didn't go too crazy.. had to get rid of some lower growth that should have went before and I don't like doing that while in flower, defoliating can be stressful enough. Got lots of light coming into the middle of the plants now so hopefully they will stay happy. Fed them after as a reward and hopefully keep them happy. Here they are after their haircuts :passitleft:

Yeah I was surprised with these 2, doesn't seem to be much more stretch going on, don't really want much more out of these ones anyway. These were my warmup freebies to start growing again after upgrades and such. These Tutankhamon are going to be the real test for my room!

All we can do is hope for the best at this point lol. I didn't train these plants nearly as much as I have plants in the past. The Tutankhamon will have a lot more time put into them to make them fill up most of my flower room. Thanks guys!

Hey again everyone!! Hope you've all been well. Been working a lot this week, shoveling snow and dealing with ridiculous outside temperatures. Off today again because this morning was -40C, felt like -51 at 7am. My truck started, but it sounded sick and didn't want to engage into 4x4 properly. I was scared to drive it down the street for fear of something snapping. Brrrr!!! Luckily back to more normal temps coming into the weekend!

So things have been moving along great in the garden! It's almost time to do some quick cleanup and rearranging things so I can transplant the seedlings and move them under the LED panel. I will be working on this throughout the day today and will grab some pictures tonight when I'm done. There will also be some feeding for all of the plants today on top of that, so I will be fairly busy for a while lol.

Lets have a look at what's happening inside shall we? Got some good growth in both rooms and buds are forming!

-------------------------------------------------

Seedlings are now getting wider and growth is popping out at each node. They must have a decent root system in those pots now since I have seen some roots starting to poke out the holes in the bottom of the containers, they just weren't ready last weekend when I checked which could have lead to a disastrous transplanting. I dampened the soil slightly this morning to help with the transplants later today, the medium was starting to get fairly dry.

All 6 plants took the mild feeding very well this past week, so now today I will be upping the solution again and it will be used to help wet the new promix for the transplants. Feed for these babies will be as follows..
Micro - 4ml, Grow - 6ml, Bloom - 2ml, Rapid Start - 3ml, Diamond Nectar - 2ml, Flora Blend - 2ml, CalMag - 3ml, Armour Si - 2ml

This is a pretty big move on upping the plants feeding so drastically, it's either going to kill them or it's going to make them explode, but I don't think it's going to kill them lol If they take this fine I will adjust again next time, first bringing up the Diamond Nectar and Flora Blend to normal levels and then again with M/G/B. Wish me luck! haha

Oh, I also believe I have 1 tri leafed plant out of the bunch, of course it started right where I would normally top my plants. We will see if i decide to wait and top that one or not. They are all ready to take a topping whenever now, 3rd nodes are full exposed with enough growth to make the snip easy. Likely be done today as well.

Day 17 - Seedling Station
Tutankhamon

--------------------------------------------------

Looking good so far in the flower room, one plant is certainly progressing faster than the other but that's ok, they have both remained roughly the same height just the Moby Dick is packing on buds quicker. I'm also starting to see some nice trichome production already on her as well, crazy to see trichs so early. I got some more natural light photos that will help you all to really see what they look like color wise.

No more issues or deficiencies in here as of yet. Both girls took their defoliation really well, I was quite surprised. Neither of them looked harmed come the next morning, happy as can be. The NL x Big Bud looked a little sad during the operation but snapped right back with a good feeding afterwards. I will also toss in a couple of picture of her bleeding, the next morning right at lights on I snapped the pictures, right at all the clip sights this girl was leaking her juices all over the place lol Quite the sight to see, I have seen it slightly happen a couple of times but never like this, almost every clip site. She's fine now and healed up.

Feeding is going well, I have done some digging and figuring on my next flowering feed. Looks like I will be cutting out the Flora Blend, upping my KoolBloom and a minor adjustment to the M/G/B to keep all the plants happy. I plant to try and keep my M/G/B amounts the same from now until closer to the end of flower and only adjust them when needed. PK boosters will be adjusted up as flowering progresses. Next feed is as follows..
Micro - 4ml, Grow - 2ml, Bloom - 10ml, Diamond Nectar, 2.5ml, Liquid KoolBloom - 5ml, CalMag - 5ml, Armour Si - 2ml

Day 19 - Flower Room
Moby Dick + NL x Big Bud

-------------------------------------------------
That's about it for another update folks, hope it was informative enough. For those of you who just like pictures I got lots of those as well lol. I try to keep useful information in with my updates so a person can go back and check on what was done at another particular time. Hope everyone has a great weekend, I will try to get back on Sunday for another quick update in case work gets busy next week again. Take care all, keep it green!

Well it looks like you have everything under control there except the weather. It's freakin cold here too but spring is getting closer. That's what I keep telling myself anyway.

Yep me too. It's funny though cause usually December - March is our busy time of year at work, but with weather like this my truck would freeze up, I rely on hydraulics and water.

I'm waiting on spring though as well, more humidity and time in my grow room lol

The early trichome production is a good sign, should be really frosty by the time it's done. Good job.

That's what I was thinking as well, must be doing something right lol Thanks!

Here's a bit of a photo dump.

I found more foam mats upstairs, the big ones wouldn't fit 3 wide on my veg side so they went in the flower room, the others came to veg room, I like it, something soft to walk and kneel on.

Got my ballasts hung up finally, just need to do some wire managing and put up more hangers. Need to find my other small extension cords for my fans and such.

And the transplants are done, wee ones are now under the LED panel with only the beginning light on for now, sitting 32" above the canopy to start off. They seem to be doing well.

Got my little chill area, I can crank up my exhaust and smoke a doobie when I want without going to the cold garage haha.
lAso grabbed some pictures from each corner of my rooms so you can get an idea of what I'm working with. Now that I got it all organized and cleaned up I don't mind showing you everything lol

Have a great night folks!

Hey again everyone! Sorry I haven't been on in a while, has been a pretty busy week work and life wise which has resulted in my lack of participation around here. I will need to get around to everyone else's journals today as well!

Everything in the garden is still going well. I have made some decisions and changes in the last week that I will outline in this update to get you all caught up on my plans. Pictures are from yesterday afternoon, but still relevant enough. Lets get to it!

------------------------------------------------------
The 6 Tutankhamon are chugging right along now since they got settled in their new pots and the nutrients thrown at them. They have been topped at the 3rd node and stripped off the rest of the growth to get set for being manifolded. I predict 2-3 more days and I will be able to properly and safely tie down my 2 mains on each plant, the growth has been more vigorous since topping, these plants loved it and didn't even stunt.

Have had some odd growth on a couple of the plants that you might be able to see in the pictures, mostly just some twisted dark leaves which could be from the high doses of nutrients. Another plant has a couple of fingers on leaves that have turned lighter than the others as well. I'm not overly concerned about it right now since the plants are all growing well and it's only on one plant, just wanted to note it.

Feeding has been fun lately trying to push these girls, I will obviously need to make some adjustments but otherwise they seem to be able to take a high concentration feeding. Here is what they have gotten now for the last 2 feedings.
Micro - 4ml, Grow - 10ml, Bloom - 2ml, Rapid Start - 3ml, Diamond Nectar - 5ml, Flora Blend - 5ml, CalMag - 4ml, Armour Si - 2ml ml/gal

Other than that these plants are doing very well now. Temperatures are expected to start coming back up a little bit in the next week or 2, hoping the sun will come out and start to raise the humidity around here.

Day 27 - Veg Room
Tutankhamon

---------------------------------------------------------
Moby Dick and NL Big Bud are doing very well for the warm conditions we are still having in this room due to the lights. I was really hoping these hoods would have been here by now, said Feb. 8th - 23rd for expected delivery, hoping I didn't get scammed on ebay since the seller never got back to me yet.

These girls have been sucking up their feedings pretty well and I think I have them pretty much maxed out, got some slight tip burning but the leaves are still pretty dark green so I will have to lower the micro on these girls a bit more for a little less nitrogen in the feed. No majorly clawed leaf tips so it's not nitrogen toxicity yet. Here is what I have been feeding them the last couple rounds.
Micro - 4ml, Grow - N/A, Bloom - 10ml, Liquid KoolBloom - 10ml, CalMag - 5ml, Armour Si - 2ml

Moby Dick has really been frosting up and only having 4 weeks in flower it caught me by surprise. NL Big Bud has started to pack in some buds finally and is setting out some trichomes as normal, not as crazy as this Moby. Not much else to say about these 2, just letting them ride now and watching them grow. Plucking the odd leaf that might be in the way if I can't tuck it away, that's it.
