Dewey Aeroponics - RADDWC

Found my new dewey res. Will have 4 deweys and six 2 inch holes. The nutrient rez will be an ice chest

BF, great thread!
Cruise by often same as your other journals. Along with VexGrow, PW, others.

I will be starting Dewey any day now.

How did you find z7?
What do you know about the company?

Over the past year. Running multiple dwc tubs. Hundreds of plants from seed and clones. Cannabis, Hemp, and Hops. Using 84 differant products from 5 companies.

I finally got Fed-up with chasing the Organic train that technically does NOT exist in hydroponics... Considering the high end sterile nutrient lines (Not to be confused with anything from AN)lol

The thing is, we need something to break down the decaying matter that is in our tank and hydroton (grow medium).
Options are basically....
enzymatic or chemical.

The enzymatic way would require the use of an enzyme. Every manufacturer makes a zyme product. " They Claim" can do the job of breaking down the organic material. Once everything is eaten up, they die off without affecting (yea right) anything else. And "good" microbes will (should, probably?) stay in the system.

Chemical, would be the H2O2 type route. This will KILL "good" and "bad" bacteria/fungi.

whether it's deemed as "good" bacteria/fungi or "bad" bacteria/fungi, you don't really need either in hydroponics.
I can feed them nutrients that essentially bypass the steps the bacteria and fungi take to break down the material.
Nutrients (certin ones) can be immediately available to the plants root zone and shouldn't "need" the beneficials to break it down and feed it to the plant.

OK, Still need to establish an over all immune response of the plant. Max potential to achieve complete genetic capabilities. And maintain the health of the resivior.
Beneficial's?
As I said before...Considering the high end sterile nutrient lines (Not to be confused with anything from AN)lol

All products I have used in dwc, rdwc, top feed, ebb & flow. Have left traces of bad bacteria within the rez.
Most reacted poorly to pH down.
Almost all screwed with Amino and Folvic Acids.
So I have to sterilize every week? to maintain a healthy system? Really?
What if I believe I can get organic quality out of Hydrponics.
Not if I have to sterilize!

7 Facts That Will Make You Rethink the "Sterility" of Hydroponics

Thank you BedroomFarmer for z7.
I have done an extensive research on Flying Skull products and company.
Origionaly dismissed them as a fly by night knock off.
I've ordered their entire product line (-1).
8 items, 40% discount. Got to give them a shot.
Popped a couple of Super Blue Dream x Pineapple Express. And a couple of Alien OG.
I will journal Deweyponics using Flying Skull products.

Hey Furci!! Whats going on? Hope all is well! Welcome to club dewey man! Your gonna love it!! We recommend an air stone with water temps over 68°f in the rez z7 or not. Above 65°f DO levels drop and the dewey cant keep up. Your root will be happiest as an aero/dwc hybrid.

Z7 i found this and deweys while searching for an answer for my cloning problems. Was having trouble with rockrool and coco in the winter. One strain wouldnt root no matter what i did. Was looking into making an aero cloner but was always worried about the heat they put out. So was scouring the internet for a help. I found dewey and z7 on so youtube show or something. I picked up some dewey to give it a try and used 1 drop of bleach per gallon to clone. Was so impressed with the clones rooting i picked up z7 (was a little pricey so waited) to finish the cloning process and decided to flower them with dewey. It was a trial but was very happy so now im in the process of making a dewey sog.

Z7 doesnt eat up roots or anything. It just keeps the roots free of slime that causes root rot. The slime is like anerobic bacteria or whatever. I havent tried there other products but they all seem quality. I actually need to buy more z7. Hey post up a link to your dewey flying skull grow. Very exciting! Its a newer company but they are making waves in the hydro industry. They used to offer samples but clearly state that they no longer offer then because demand is too high.

What did you get from flying skull and what do they do? Feel free to post pics!

Love checking out roots! Z7 has been a game changer for me, one product i will keep in my arsenal.

Im almost out!! Hope i last till pay day!! Need that stuff! No ifs ands or butts i wont grow using a res without z7

Alright yall i transplanted the gsc xtrm self purple pheno. Once she resumes growth im putting her to flower. Moving the sativa into dewey veg then that will go to flower. Saving the dewey sog for my clones but dont worry ill keep it interesting till then

Hey, thanks BF
I was having issues with stand alone DWC. Was building a stealth system in a couple of wall lockers.
The only set back was the stagnant air between the top of the root ball and res cover.
Adding more heat with a mister or top feed was not an option.
12 years ago I tried DWC. You would think by now. Someone would have figured it out.
Cabinet has been put on hold for a more serious grow.
Anyway the hystory of the z7 anaerobic fungus spore is interesting.
Chinese rediscovered the same properties in sea plants in 2006. They were able to isolate z7, z8, z9 GEN cells within spores.

I did a public records check on Flying Skull.
E-mailed and called the numbers listed on there state licence.
Good people.
They were having same issues as everyone.
They are a huge community provider. And cater to a lot of small business farmers and crop growers.
They took it a step further.
Flying Skull is a family run entity. Who also own 82 MARCOS INDUSTRIES INC.
One of the largest coastal roofing manufacturer's in the states.

The Chinese had started testing (with success) the GEN found in the fungus for barnacle reduction in maritime vessels.
Marcos Industries has there own lab.
Started as a quest for a better insecticide in 2009. Nuke em and z7 soon were hatched.
2013 Flying Skull Plant Products was added to the family business.
The link in my last post was from there daughter.

I have found enouph positive documentation to warrent giving them a try.
This is what I ordered.
