Derby's Fly By Night Photos

I'll tag him over at your place too @Pennywise ... trying to ease him in. LoL

I follow 4 pages of (what I consider) great journals.

I'm just adding a few at a time so his head doesn't explode from all the awesomeness. LoL

Hey puff make sure you ask questions. Don't be ashamed as we all have asked some but talk each other thru why and how.
Great learning experience here on 420
Yeah man! I hope he finds these threads as useful as I do.

He's a seasoned veteran grower too! Hope to drag a bunch of that knowledge out too.

There aren't many peaceful places to share info anymore. 420 Mag is just a breath of fresh air.....

....compared to the bullshit on IG. LoL

Well that's some solid information, or not!

Here is what some of the leaves on my Sour G look like, clone after clone after clone:

Not sure what RQS calls "lower yields," but I did manage to pull 277 grams dry off this one last summer :).

I had to read that twice because it sounded like a contradiction lol :)

I'm thinking they just mean less chlorophyll ==> less yield - but not necessarily stunted - maybe? :)

So last Wednesday went down to the dungeon only to find the big blueberry had fallen down. Too top heavy and went timber on my ass. Look really bad and sticky goo all over the place. I got her upright and watered her to run off to get some weight into the pot. After she was somewhat upright I started to tie her up so she can't do a weight shift on me anymore. Here she is tonight.

She should make it now. Fingers crossed.

Hey @Derbybud - great save!!!

I'm thinking about using six bamboo posts per pot in my larger Peyote WiFi plants, and then wrapping trellis netting around them. I'm really hoping that will help me this round - because in my last grow the Chemdawg had to get strapped because the cola was so top heavy!

But hey, you know you're doing an awesome job when the plant topples over or the branches bend and supercrop themselves!!! :)

Hey @Derbybud - tie it up - use stakes - anything that works!

I read last week (on the ThreeALight FAQs) that the goal is "to trick the plant into thinking its branches are stronger than they are" - so the plant will keep growing its buds bigger and bigger.

I'm not sure if it's really a trick - or if the plant just keeps putting energy into growing the buds that are the highest; and if the buds tip down, then they get less growth hormones sent to them.

I'm still learning the theory for fun - but mostly, I just want the techniques that give the best results.

Welcome puff. And wow I didn't know I mentored anyone but thanks for the kudos Preston.
