I dont know all that much about collecting pollen but from what Ive HEARD the best pollen isnt the pollen that drops first but the more mature pollen. This is what ive heard though. From what I know it should all be viable but with that info theres probably a higher success rate with more mature pollen. Does that make sense?
 
@Kingjoe83 Im intending to use my little 2x2 tent for any males i find (once i get my 4x4 up aswell) but there are little hacks to get around it. When you find a male strip her down to like one main cola. This way you aint checking eeeeevery main for when they gonna crack cos as we all know female buds on a plant dont mature at the same time. Males are no different. When you feel they have swollen enough and you feel they are close chuck a milk bottle with the bottom cut off around her like one of them dog collars and chuck a see through bag over the top. Now he shouldnt contaminate your females when he pops and you can just take him outside and take the bag off to check how hes progressing... and also keep collecting pollen through his flower cycle.
As i said though this is a work around not a solution. Things can still go wrong and you could still contaminate them. Only 100% guarantee is quarantine.... n even then its only 98% cos you could carry the pollen on your clothes or the wind could change and the pollen could carry into your grow room some how lol
 
Btw im not suggesting collecting the pollen in the plastic bag. Use a paper bag to collect :D

Yeah it does I get that of it matures then maybe more stable males in future ? Now the pollen andnseeds that come off a male are they all garanteed male seeds then? Or can they still be female seeds ? Noob question lol

Well they would be regular seeds if thats what you mean. So you would find males in your drops again. Only way to get fem seeds is by reversing a female to push out pollen sacks (a couple ways to do it) and using that fem pollen. The seeds from those will all be female

Just what i picked up from youtube and hear my friend. Yet to try it myself but thats what i plan to do of i get one or 2 more males than i want.

I was just talking with my wife about how I shoudld run out and try to re save my male lol get pollen and keep stored until one day get sts and force a female /keeper whatever strain then take male pollen and what mix 50/50 from Pollen off girl to male ? Then what now that I would have both male pollen say from
Purple monkey balls example and say cherry bomb that was feminized ?

Got pollen both now , now what ?

Sorry bro think i confused you Regulars=males AND female.
Fems = just female.
 
Never heard of people mixing pollen though.... be very hard to tell what effect that would have in the end though. Most likely youd just get the seperate crosses not like pollen Axpollen Bxfemale A it would just be

But again it would be very hard to tell what it would be cos who the F knows what a cross will be like before its been crossed lol

Yeah but when I buy a feminized seed where or how does one garantee that seed is female . A friend said they are ways to identify male and female from seeds and the bottom of seeds being round and I dunno about that ?

Well it should already be guaranteed by the way the breeder has made the seed. If it turns out not to be a female then i personally wouldnt use those genetics again cos they arent very good at their jobs lol

So it is self induced though so does that mean if I took the male pollen from say pmb And spoiled it to my cherry bomb that is female and got seeds would they just be reg seeds?

Would that make them s1 so self ? Or F 1s?
 
There is a way to tell from seeds but if you got fems you shouldnt need to know. Only if you got regs. I dont know about the identifying marks much cos i havent looked into it. I want some females and males so it doesnt bother me trying to identify em early.

Man brain over lord today on mag with info and trying to process this info lol. Smoke tome some sour diesel I ordered. And got citrus skunk on route lol

If you used male pollen from a male plant then you would get regulars. If its a female plant that hermied you got the pollen from the they will be fems
 
Male pollen spread on a female plant will give you regular seeds. They could be male or female.

Reversing a female plant causes her to produce pollen. She’s still got female genes though so this is feminized pollen. Spread that pollen on a female plant and all seeds should be female.
