Derbybud's New Adventures With Nothing In Particular Going On: We'll See

I've had about every make out there. When my wife and I were still dating she asked me what all these keys were in my desk drawer? Told her I always made spare keys to all my vehicles. She counted 53 different keys and that was over 25 years ago. I'm like Joe now, get me from point A to point B as reliable, safe, and efficient as possible with me still being comfortable. Now when I move out with a trailer full of 20000 lbs. of horses and equipment its all about reliability and I want it to pull as close as when its not pulling anything. Duramax dually. Done.

I trailer a lot of things. I use my truck like a truck. In the past I hauled anything and everything when I was on the farm. More recently it was just my 25' boat and enclosed trailers. The new truck has the trailer sensitivity setting for the brakes that I am dying to try out. I have always had brakes on my trailers just not the adjustable feature. I doubt I will be hauling much until spring. I am sure that Duramax eats pulling heavy stuff for breakfast. I briefly checked them out when I was buying my truck and they are so far out of my price range it isn't funny. It's ridiculous that trucks cost that much now days.

The derby's got a hell of a deal on a 3 year lease turn in with 72k miles. We were looking all over the country and this fell in our laps 20 min from the house at an excellent price.
Now when you want to talk about braking the Dmax does it best with it's engine braking button. We've had over 33k lbs.(truck, trailer, horses, ect) and you don't hit the brakes until the last 30-40 ft.. when coming to a light. It's super nice how they did it.

I had a 69 chevy p/u with a 250 straight six and 3 on the tree back in high school and had one my whole life other than when I had 2 suburbans for a period of 14 years. Wow I'm old thinking about how many different trucks I've had. I think the best one I had other than the dmax was my 96 GMC silverado. I put a slight programmer on it and K&N cold air air filter and let the exhaust breath a bit better and didn't have a bit of problems and still looked brand new when I sold it with 180K miles on it. I wish I still had that one.

I am with lopin. Only Chevys and Harleys in this house. Wife had a Ford when I married her. Had to rectify that.
Good man! Only Chev and Jeep allowed here!! I love my jeep and have only had wranglers for the past 10 years lol

I guess I have a Suzuki as well but I pretend it’s a Harley!! LOL
