But wasn't that before you got your boards?
Both with and without
I switched on like 2/8 and the stretch really started the day before I got the QB in there, last 3 days they are really going nuts...
Now I have Somango and Blueberry who went in with the original QBs and the growth has been pretty steady but the Somango is really taking off now

About 12-18". Should I be doing something different?

No..looks great. I couldn't tell from that shot. Definitely seems like you found a sweet spot brother! Was just curious as to your distance relative to what I hear other growers using for distances.

Most other growers are using more powerful boards. I have the qb120s that only put out 60 watts. Because they have less power I don't need heat sinks as they run very cool with just a fan blowing over them. I need to run them closer and just use my meter to help me judge how to run them. What I do like is how spread out they are which helps me cover my total canopy without the heat. Looks to be working pretty good at this part of the grow but we need to see how they finish.

Well whatever you are doing, your girls are loving it Derby. I certainly wouldn't change much!
And after they stretch out and I feel I don't have the penetration I need I can put them in the other side of the tent with my 3 260 watt kits and just keep moving them thru that way. Or maybe go the other route of veg with the mars, then flip under the 260 kits, then back under the big light to finish them. Spring summer fall

Just try to keep air going across the canopy to keep heat to a minimum and you'll be golden

I have a fan pointed to just under the light and it hits the plants as well. If they get too hot, I'll back them off. Thanks Derbybud .

My big light is allot less powerful but it's over my whole 40x40" area. I'm running it at 420 watts at about 12" above my canopy and that gets me between 820-1050 umols over the whole 4x4 area. No heat at all on my canopy at that height. In veg I had it maybe 6-8" above running at 360 watts to achieve the same numbers. I still can't believe how well it did vegging with it having a 3000k spectrum. Once I got things dialed in they blew up in 3 weeks.
