Dennise - No Longer The Newest Of Newbies - Not Growing In MG - Perpetual

And seeing your aminals, I imagine they were pretty happy to see you, too! Glad you apparently survived the attention.

I gotta admit having to ride behind fella made me feel kinda old and sickly and a bit uncomfortable going to see the folks we were around.... After I got there I wasn't near as upset... Hell I have fared the last few years a whole lot better than most of them...:biglaugh::biglaugh: I moved there in 1989.. about a month before Hugo... Go figure huh... but it was a really hard time in my life and they really did take care of me and literally taught me what the work "respect" is all about... I've kept up with all of them through the years and saw them often for a while after I left but now it seems it's mostly funerals...:thedoubletake: and now that I think of it... there won't be to many more of them either.... There's not a lot of the club left... I don't drink at all anymore and haven't had a drink in about 5 years... Never really was an issue... Haven't drank a 6 pack of beer combined in my life... taste is nasty and smells even worse but I do like me some Patron and Grey Goose...:;): or used to but my momma always told me drugs and alcohol didn't mix.... so I never did drink all that much...:;):... anywho what I was getting at... We had his service at the bar of course... and we all had to do shots to John Martin of course... Only problem there was he drank brown liquor...:thedoubletake: yuck... nasty.... but when you're at a brother's funeral and all his patch friends are buying you shots... you kinda sorta have to drink them... especially when your fella doesn't know these folks to well and He is much to old to have to cover my alligator mouth... I ended up so messed up... it was horrible... We were going to leave a day earlier to come home but it just simply wasn't possible and it damn sure was a good thing I was on the back...:biglaugh::biglaugh:.....:circle-of-love:

:passitleft: home now.. Sounds like he would have enjoyed watching you all celebrate his life :passitleft:

The girls look terrific, D, I'm sorry for your loss, and you are so right, there's no place like home...{click click of heels}. I got my Harley in 96 out in Cali, with no riding experience so my Uncle had to drive it off the lot with me on the back. Took a class on a 125 CC and then took off to Sturgis to meet my girlfriend's husband and about 5 of his buddies. The husband told me "Now ride behind me and don't say a word about being a newbie." I didn't and they didn't know until 2 years later that I rode my first 100 miles with them.

I, too, dropped my bike at a standstill at the campground in the grass without it even running....none of the guys lifted a finger to help me....needless to say, I learned to ride like a guy in trying to keep up with all of them so as not to get left behind....not many girls rode their own back then.... :circle-of-love:

I've been riding since I was a kid and that was the first time I have ever dropped one and had I been in my right mind I would have never pulled her out of the shed...:thedoubletake: I've gone back and read the journal during the time all my crap was going on and I don't remember one bit of it... At least I didn't post anything to bad.......:circle-of-love:

:passitleft: High Vlad... I have a 06' Street Glide... A 74' shovel head and a 76' Iron head... I admit I haven't riden anything but the Street Glide in a long time...:circle-of-love:

Here's another story for you, D......I had the brand new late model Harley of the year....the husband came and all his friends were from Connecticut.....all came with 1940's shovel heads and vintage of those years bikes in pastel ice cream colors.....and a trailer full of parts and do dads to keep them running....everyone went crazy over those bikes....

They also brought the ashes of a brother that I did not know to scatter all over Sturgis....I was very humbled to witness these grown men paying their respects to their dear friend with the utmost respect....they scattered him over Bear Butte, a sacred Indian mountain, at Whitefish Pointe, in town in a shot and a beer, and then in their gas tanks of their bikes.....needless to say, we spent some time on the side of the road that day with them fishing some teeth and hard parts out of their gas lines.....I never said a world....

Hi Dennis, garden looks to be doing well, it's tough when life rears it's head sometimes. Glad your back home now.

Very cool Vlad! What year? I used to have a '71 DT1 250.

1996 white and blue with 40,000 miles on it, cylinder jug is gauged so it's just kind of sitting for now until I have the cash to get a new one shipped to me for about $250.

(EDIT, it's a 175cc not a 250)

There are only a few in Colombia so maybe if I put a marijuana plant on it I can take a picture and share

This my 2nd bike, my first was a used Husqvarna WR 125 that I fixed up and sold for good $$$.

2 strokes for the win!!!

EDIT!!!!

I wanted to share one of my favorite bike channels, this is a "blooper" video from eastern Europe.

Somewhat close to the day we had... No teeth in the gas tanks but ashes have been blown in quite a few places.... I think one of the coolest sounds I have ever heard is the starting of all the bikes for formation... The ground literally shakes... We had a police blocked path so we never had to hit the brakes hardly except to drop a little of John Martin here and there.......:circle-of-love:

Vlad my first bike was an old Indian my dad built for me and other than that the only bike I have ever owned other than a Harley was a CB 360 Honda my x brother in law gave me when he went to jail...:yikes: It was a lovely shade of titty pink..:;):.... (for a minute) then it was rattle can black but my back side just never fit like it does on a Harley...:biglaugh::biglaugh:....:circle-of-love:

I hope everyone has a magnificently blessed and green day... Going out to the shack in a bit and will have an update on the 3 outdoor girls... The 2 from the tent there have been chopped and jarred... Garden Chick did it for me while I was gone so I have no idea what I got off them but it looked like about 2 zips of the mother plant and maybe a zip and a half off the clone.... That's nothing but a guess but I bet I'm close....:yahoo:....:circle-of-love:

Morning miss world USA.. :passitleft:

Good morning Grizz... Once again I seem to be stuck to my recliner... Still haven't found my way to the shack and it's supposed to be 93 degrees today so something tells me my super glued azz will still be right here come bed time... I'm simply wrong...:thedoubletake: I think I really do need a 48 hour sleep... I remember now why I don't drink...:thedoubletake: It takes me a week to get over it...:;): It's simply easier to just get high and not have a hang over... I may not live through this one... If I could just learn to do things in moderation... But nooo... One or two just leads to 11 or 12 and that leads to the release of Fifi and that's never a good thing...:biglaugh::biglaugh:
I think I'll go check on the girls and I'm going back to sleep .... I hope you all have a blessed and green day....:circle-of-love:
