its more strain and plant specific and grow conditions some plants take 8 weeks and some go in to the teens. I stared five different strains on October 6th I've harvested two, one was a male, one plant I harvested was a bag seed hermaphrodite full of seeds waste of time. Diamond girl finish at 10 weeks, the rest in still waiting but the end is near 13 weeks but so worth it.

Those aren't the ones you're talking about, are they?
 
If you are talking about the shiny stuff on the buds and leaves around them it is there I just suck at taking pics and can't get my camera to pick it up. There are all kinda settings on my camera that will allow it to pick up all the little things but there is also a simple mode and so far the kiss method has been found to be the best for me........:loopy:

Well, here's an example of a plant that could be smoked: [Edit] This is a couple weeks too early, now that I see it, but see the trichs? I'd wait another couple weeks before starting to "test" this one.

Really it is on mine I just can't get the camera to pick it up but it is not nearly as prevalent as in your pics. I will most likely be able to refrain until she is done but want to make sure I know what you guys are talking about when the time comes. As a matter of fact almost as soon as I posted about putting my guy out of business he called and said he had something special for me so guess I will be good for a little longer than originally reported. I couldn't hurt his feelings and tell him no now could I?????:tokin:

guilty as charged! this plant is 8 weeks, 6 days in bloom from first pistil sighting, and still pushing pistils out. I'm going to cut some leaves to try and starve it further since my flush isn't going as planned. she had a bad nitrogen abundance and she isn't drinking very fast anymore.

keep in mind that those harvest dates are based on flowering with High Intensity Discharge lighting and not Compact Florescent Lights that can add more weeks to completion.

I saw that!!! London and some company put them on and they are supposed to be the biggest ever. Made it on the news here. Wish I was there to see them!!!

I also don't "veg", but the plant vegs itself for 2-3 weeks on a 12/12 light schedule. I remember them taking just as long under my hid.

I would say 9 weeks from pistil is when you should start stalking the trichs. stalk. trichome. get it? HA.
