Dennise - No Longer The Newest Of Newbies - Not Growing In MG - Perpetual

Then lastly what I plan on smoking for the aftenoon..:yahoo:. Please excuse the blonde hair but I can't get it off..:passitleft::passitleft:.....:circle-of-love:

Haha, my hair is really long right now and I always get my hair caught in the trichs.

I gave a friend a few joints last week and he just called to tell me it was the best pot he ever smoked. I think it's the clean way we grow and the bud wash. Incredible.

Yea I blamed it on the dogs for a while but I haven't had a hair cut in over 10 years and all my dogs are short haired so guess I can't really use that one anymore and without the loupe I can't see them on the buds and when I am holding the loupe I can't get hold of the hairs. I'm sure I look ridiculous at times trying to dehair my buds so I just smoke em'.... I hope you are having a much better day....:circle-of-love:

That made me laugh! My hair is growing back. Lost it two years ago, but it grows fast. Anyway, what's a little hair in a bowl anyway?

BTW, I just went outside to look at the plants which are now in full sun and they grew to the top of the hamper on its side. I have to buy a few more of them or just leave the plants out and not worry in advance of problems. Right?

Ahhh I almost forgot the pretty... Here are a few purty shots of the AKxWW....:circle-of-love:

I hope you have a beautiful day Lady Dee! :MoreNutes::BH::green_heart:

Nothin scary down here.....

Last season I had to remove a tiger snake from the outside toilet...

And then another who had decided she was going to nest in the strawberry patch...

No killing....ok...grab by tail, place into waiting bag, relocate...job done...well minus the odd swear word and heart pulpitation.

Oh the drop bears are a little scary, but you know, you get used to em. :)

WOW! You are brave Tassie! :thumb:
I don't mind our bears coming around, but snakes? That would freak me out!:trance::trance::trance::trance::bitingnails::bitingnails::bitingnails::bitingnails:

I used to think snakes were icky too, but then I held one against all my will and they are actually quite nice. I know DEE! I don't love snakes, would never have one, but they don't freak me out. They can't hurt me. It is very rare to see a poisonous snake. About one person per year in the entire US is killed by a snake bite. But I do get being afraid of them.

HA. I don't live down unduh, ya know! Now they have some scary critters.

Yeah, I have to leave them covered until I am sure they will endure any potential attack.
They have cute little koala's and kangaroo's... you have snakes and tarantulas ..... a beautiful garden for sure but snakes and spiders....:thedoubletake:....:circle-of-love:
Hey what are you trying to say?.....:circle-of-love:

The outdoor toilet???? Really.... I live in Hootersville and I even have indoor plumbing. Really an out house... Really? and what is a drop bear? We have bears but I don't see em' dropping much? I'm scared-er of the out house than the drop bear (what ever it is)............:circle-of-love:

I don't like snakes and spiders. The first year we moved here I had a garden in the back corner of the fenced yard and was walking out to tend to it with my Birkenstocks on and I was standing by it and felt something tap the top of my foot. When I looked down I had stepped on the snakes head and it had taken it's tail and tapped me on the top of the foot to ask me to remove my foot from it's head. I screamed and ran so hard my dogs freaked and beat me in the house then I got my 30.06 and unloaded a clip into it then just to make sure came back in got the shotgun and blew it to pieces.... Never worried about that snake again.... Then the next year the bug man was here doing the termite inspection and came to the door and said there is a huge snake under your house but they eat mice so do you want me to leave it there???? REALLY.... I don't care if it eats bad people get that F^#@er out of here. When my fella was under the house last weekend he said there is a snake skin under there over 6' long.... Do I want you to leave it under my house? What ridiculous people... I don't like snakes and spiders...:circle-of-love:

Hey Dennnise! Long time no see. I get hair in my bud too. Guys have long hair occationally as well.

Oh, and fearing snakes is a learned behavior like people hating herb. I doubt you would ever shake that fear totally, but I have a pet snake and both of my girls love him and it is possible to remove unfounded fears. Their Mom is suspicious of him, and the grandmom won't be in the same room. Totally learned.

Give the little guys a chance. :circle-of-love:

Bob ;)

hi Girlz and Galz , please protect the snakes, they are 98% safe, and you would recognize the poisonous 2% for sure as they are really shouting that they hurt ;through colors and drawings or eye shape on themselves, they often make more noise too than the others. you can't miss a dangerous snake.
i can understand that fear despite i'm a reptile-lover but i'm sure that you can work on it with the help of a few friend knowledge and with your own help, trying to approach them when it is possible.
i wish you have a nice snake-free day.

Im awake!

Ok, first, I've been taught how to pick them up...Second, my adrenaline is sky high when rescuing....it is very exciting! :)

Fear is a good thing. It's there for a reason. Irrational fear is different....but, that being said, again I was taught...and did so from about 5 or 6 years old, so again it is what you learn. I've never had a snake chase me, unless I deserved it, a snake will usually turn and run in the opposite direction. Well in Australia they're not very aggressive so, the fear factor isn't as high, because they feel you coming long before you know they're there, and usually move off.

Dennise...Im not happy with shooting snakes...killing snakes...again this is learned. I will not say you are a bad person or it is wrong, this is for me plainly inappropriate. But I do understand.

Id rather take the risk and relocate one, than have someone kill one. The balance is too heavily weighed in the snakes favour for me...and Im just too fast for em :) . Significant part of the macro environment. Significant maintainer of balance of rodent, reptile and amphibian populations. Significant food source for higher order preditors like Raptors - eagles and hawks.

...a dead one is a dead waste...the life should be used to its potential, whether that be feeding another, or breeding another.

When man kills senselessly with a car on our roads, or out of fear, that life is wasted...and for me that is significant....

Id rather take my time to educated the fear outta myself than take a life, because of that fear...

I'll tell you my one fear. Bears are about the only animal on the planet I dunno that I could take down...their too quick...too strong...and their reach is just too long....I've been around them in the wild and they're placid and doing their thing and that's fine, but outta all the animals, it's the one I'd reakon would be the hardest to defend against.

Oh any snake handler that say's "I've been bitten 27 times....." and say it like a badge of honour...stay away from em.

If you get bit once, you should give up.

Ok, well that was a rant...hugs

The fear of snakes seems seems built into primates like chimps and people (not to mention whoever wrote the Book of Genesis!), but I want to weigh in on the side of the snakes here too. Read about a "rattlesnake roundup" somewhere recently where snakes are tortured and killed for people's amusement (including kids, speaking of learned behavior) - just appalling. People who would be outraged, and rightly so, over the abuse of other animals but think it's funny to torment a rattlesnake, which is an amazing animal. I don't get it.

Okay, I'll stick to fertilizer now :)

Hey Dennise,

I'll be dropping by again shortly.

Good day to you :circle-of-love:
Good I may need help with this snake situation....:circle-of-love:

I agree with you on the hair my fella's is almost to his waste... Longer than mine actually and my best "bro" has hair past his waist. I have cut my bro's hair for 30 years and never taken more than 1/2 inch off. My fella's I have cut for over 15 years and never more than 1/2 inch. we're all a bunch of hairy people...:hippy:
The snake thing is certainly a learned thing... I learned they will bite you under water and you will almost lose your leg if you don't get help fast enough and I also learned when this happens to ya at 13 ya ain't likely to get over it.....:circle-of-love:

Yep I agree... I learned I don't like snakes.....:circle-of-love:
It's, I don't like spiders and snakes...I'm Jim Stafford. LOL! :thumb:

I'm in the south too and we do have a lot of poisonous snakes and a lot of so called "good" snakes although I think that is an oxymoron but any who in my book any snake is a bad snake and I just don't need to be around them. I don't hunt them out to cause them harm and if they stay away from me I promise I will stay away from them but this is my yard and they can't have it......:circle-of-love:
