Hello guys :Rasta:.

It took me whole day to come out of my shell, but I am ready now!!!:yahoo:

Ok, let's get started. Wish me luck.:goodluck:

This is my second ever grow. First didn't come out well for me, as my girls get some kind of parasite, so I won't mention about it any more.

What strain is it? - 5x regular Bubblicious form Nirvana, 1x fem WhiteWidow from Nirvana, 1x fem The Ultimate from DutchPassion
I have some more seeds of different strains for in case if I don't get 4-5 girls.

Is it Indica, Sativa or Hybrid? - well...
Bubblicious - Indica dominant
WhiteWidow - Hybrid, not sure about percentages
The Ultimate - Hybrid, 50/50

Is it in Veg or Flower - It is in Veg, day 3

Indoor or Outdoor? - It is indoor grow, I have a small GrowLab tent for my girls, is just enough for Veg stage, but I will probably move them during a flower to the bigger location.

Soil or Hydro? - Yes, I know I said I won't mention it, but... First one was in soil, and it was A BIG mistake, no more soil never, ever again. This one is going all HYDRO and here I have to give thanks to DocBud for his HempyBucket grow. I did take his idea for hempy and add some tweaks.

What size pot? - It is hydro, but passive in Hempy Buckets, so I have 2 sizes. I planted seeds to transparent beer cups and then to another cup, which are painted on black. ( This is some one's idea from this forum to plant seeds into transparent cups to see root's development and then to next cup to cover roots from direct light. I am sorry I don't remember who he was ). Second size is 2 gallon black pot made for hempy.

What is in your mix? - 100% perlite and toped it with clay pebbles to cover it against algae

Size of light? - I can only use low temp lights, so I have HO CFL all the way through with different spec.

Is it aircooled? - Don't need it

Temp of room, cab? - I will try to keep it steady between 22-26 during lights on and planning on to drop it to 18-22 during the night cycle.

RH of cab? - During veg cycle I hope to keep it in between 50-60%

PH of media or res? - As far as I am aware medium is PH neutral, but my water only has 8,0-8,5

Any pests? - No pests yet, and I hope it stays this way

How often are you watering? - Hmm, this is where I need help, I am watering it now 6x5 minutes, but I don't know if it's ok.

Type and strength of ferts used? - No ferts added yet, but I have Grow Technology nutes, I will add 1/2 strength of formulex after 1 week

Ok, I think this is it. I hope I gave enough information for this little beginning.

Update:

Ok, I have put 7 seeds to sprout and I have 100% :goodjob:
4x Bubblicious is in day 3, White Widow and The Ultimate is in day 2, and 5th Bubblicous is in day 1.

Everything is really slow now and there is nothing to do, so I will be updating every other day.

All help, all advises, all tweaks, just every info I can get is much appreciate.

I will post some pictures later on.

Re: DemetriusFaust's 2010 Grow Jurnal: WW, TU, BB

Give them some weak nutes.....they don't eat unless you feed them. Perlite has nothing in the way of NPK.....you've got to add it all.

Thanks for this advise, I will definetly add 1/3 of strengh of Formulex to my res. Today.

Nice, clean set up!
...
Awesome job. :nicethread:

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THESE KIND WORDS:slide: :smokin:

I wouldn't even try 2nd grow, but after reading your Hempy Story I have had to change my mind. So I nicked hempy style grow, but because it require quite often watering, I had to add automatic watering system to safe some time.

Re: DemetriusFaust's 2010 Grow Jurnal: WW, TU, BB

Update:
Day 4:

After advice from DocBud, I have added:
For 30l res:
1/3 of Formulex - 50ml
1/2 of H202 35% - 7,5ml

PH was 7,3 - after adding PH DOWN I've lowered PH to 6
PPM was around 500-600 before I dropped my meter to the res. :( (I think I shouldn't smoke before doing this stuff ) I hope it will work after drying.

I would post some pictures, but there is nothing above the ground yet.

Re: DemetriusFaust's 2010 Grow Jurnal: WW, TU, BB

I know nothing came out above the ground yet, but I have just decide, that I will Veg them for only 3 weeks and then flip to 12/12. And I think I will transplant them into final pot just 3-4 days before switching to Flower.

My question is, should I foliar spray them or if I put my humid on 60-70% or more it will be all right for the plants?

Re: DemetriusFaust's 2010 Grow Jurnal: WW, TU, BB

Hi guys,

Looking good, 5 out of 7 is out and thriving :goodjob: I will post picks later on.
I added home made reflector from above with, 150 red/blue HO CFL bulb, I am planning on buying new reflector next weekend or two with another bulb. Never to much light, right? Tomorrow is a res change and from now on it will be every Monday.

Hey sokrates! I have just read through your journal, it looks promising so far. Sad to hear about your first grow, but we live and we learn, and I think this one will be much more successful.

I'm really interested to see the final outcome of the ultimate.

Anyway, good journal so far buddy, I can not give you any advice at this point sorry XD.
Keep up the good work bro!! :peace: :goodluck:

Thank You Andy371 for your good words.
I'm too wondering what the outcome of the Ultimate will be. This is what DP stating about it:

"Through careful breeding we have created one of our most important strains, we call it "The Ultimate" as it combines some of the heaviest yields we have ever seen with genuine connoisseur quality.

It grows to a height of 60-75cm, ideal for the indoor grow room. Flowering time is 8-10 weeks, with explosive bud growth in the last 2 weeks. The Ultimate (50% Indica, 50% Sativa) will take plenty of nutrients during the growth cycle and is resistant to moulds and bud rot making it a good greenhouse choice too.

Our growers have never seen a plant yield as heavily with this level of quality. This is a recession busting strain of epic proportions and is guaranteed not to disappoint. This strain is already setting new standards amongst the Dutch commercial growers and is set to become a Dutch Passion legend."

We will have to wait and see.

Look at this! You're off to a great start my friend!

The only suggestion i have is to keep the PH at around 5.8---6. Everything else is looking great.

Re: DemetriusFaust's 2010 Grow Jurnal: WW, TU, BB

Look at ur babies!!! Wow, so unfair..... I have to say i'm more than slightly jealous, but your set up is great and obviously your hard work is paying off.:cheer:

It doesn't look like u need any changes, keep doing what your doing as you already are - They look good enough to eat. :yummy:

Still...I can't believe u just dashed em in clay rocks and perlite like that and they just pop up - I might have to change my grow medium, but for now i'll stick to the soil - if it works in nature it has to work under my manipulation... :hmmmm: or not.

Yes, about that. I fill my res on Monday with water and nutes and I finish after I PH'd water. But every day after that, PH keeps rising slightly every day. I don't know why. In just 6 days it raised from 5.91 to 6.16. Is that normal or should I fight with this?

Don't be. Very soon Your babies will look even better :thumb:

Yes, just WHITE STUFF and pebbles, nathing else. Ask DocBud, it worked really well for him. :Rasta:

:peacetwo:

5.9---6.1 is fine. No problem. In fact, various nutrients are absorbed better at different PH.

Ideally, start your PH off at about 5.6....let it rise to 6.0.
Then, as the plants start to flower....start at 5.8 and let it go up to 6.2.

If you can manage that you'll be perfect. But what you're doing right now will work flawlessly.

It is shocking how well that perlite works, ain't it?
