Defoliating: how much to do on this plant?

High good people,well down here in NewZealand we are having an awesome growing season weather is fantastic although the day time temps are up in the 30c's very hot !!! anyway I am asking how much defoliating I should do on this plant ?? it's getting really bushy in flower and looking great !!! I don't want to screw this one up by taking off tooo much ! any abvice would be awesome !!

Dont defoliate outdoors. If anything try and spread the branches out a bit

Cheers thanks mate I was wondering about that ,I'm a bit worried about spreading the branches as the plant has split a couple of times at the trunk and I don't want to do more damage !!
