Defoliating Autos?

I'm used to growing photo girls.
Always do a heavy defol a few weeks into flower.
But I no the defol debate is even more heated wen it comes to autos.
I really am not sure what to do. Iv got six big bushy "Think different" auto's in my 120x120 tent.

Things are crowded to say the least. Everything is healthy though but no matter how much I tuck fans there's so much bud covered. Pics posted in a few mins. At day 37. Any one with auto experience please reply

I've done defol in last 4/5 weeks with good results 5/6z dry from 1 plant
It's looking very bushy you might get humidity/moisture problems that will cause rot.
I would recommend to defol and set them back a few days
It's better then having under developed or rotted buds
If you do defol try to do 1 full plant at a time with no interruptions or it would set you back 3more days

Yea that's my reasons for doing defol on photo plants like normal it's the horror stories I hear of ppl defiling autos and plants just basically locking up n not doing any more growing or hermining etc.

So u do defol your autos?
What strain have you been growing and do you have any pictures?

Mr amazing
Thanks for dropping in. Il be pooping to your journal soon thanks for your input bro

Sorry no pics
I started autos thinking the same as most low yields poor quality
So I threw 5 beans in and didn't realy put much effort in to them just a side thing.
But I got decent quality with small yield
Since then I've done 5 at a time :
Short stuff super stinky
60 day lemon DNA
A grapefruit strain was really good not sure were it came from
Tai fantasy
I was running some pixie punch but had to shut it down
Some I didn't defol
The ones I did had no problems
I did it in the last few weeks so even if any did try to hermie I still had buds
I've got some fast and vast that will be going in very soon
Hoping to keep a journal

Fast n vast iv seen them grow well before
Someone I new had a decent run with them.
I say decent he hit 2oz per plant consistently 4 in a 100x100 tent on a 8 week cycle to the dot under one 400hps.

I pulled out all my girls to defol and it became apparent that defol wasnt really needed. The problem is the 6 are just to big for the 120x120

The problem is they are in 6 big rectangular box pots which fit the room quite snuggly. The plants have all branched out of there rectangular space invading on other plants space lol.

I removed a few bits off one plant but left the rest. Going to buy a better oscillating fan and keep airflow good. Humidity in my tents always between 30-45% depending on pre and post watering so il just have to keep a close eye on things and maybe shift out a plant or later on in grow depending on how it go's.

Here's a few out of tent piks of day37. Really enjoying these autos coming on well

Interesting topic, actually been thinking of this a lot because my indoor girl is freaking bushy. :thedoubletake:
I've been growing autoflowers for the past 2 years, and can say this is the first truly bushy one I have had. While I am not a fan of taking any leaves off, have seen lately a lot of transpiration which is not making me happy.
She did get rid of the leaves that weren't getting any light and used that energy elsewhere, therefor in my book, if it's not broke don't do anything to try to fix it! One too many times that backfired on me, so take from my short experience and just leave those girls to do their thing. They seem to be thriving and look very happy!
:goodjob:

Edit: Oh I see the whole text may not be necessary now :biglaugh: Keep up the great work
