How do you all think the FIMS are coming along? Did i do it right? Also just Gave her her first dose of "crazy growth" from BPN feed cycle so we shall see how much crazier this growth gets! ALL FEEDBACK, INSULTS, COMMENTS, CONCERNS, QUESTIONS ARE HIGHLY APPRECIATED AND THANKS FOR FOLLOWINGDEEGE420

let me know how the fim goes, i tried it twice and it didnt work, in fact it stopped the plants growing any higher until i topped the bad fim off, it stunted the growth loads and all i ended up with was 1 shot coming out at a strange angle, so did something wrong somewhere, i think i took to much ill try it again when i get more plants or the clones up and running, its gota be worth it as long as you can get more than 2 shoots from it else your better off topping as the 2 tops grow really quick and you can always top again or top the lower branches.

looking good though mate, im also a pipe cleaner fan, they are so easy to work and much better than string as you need no knots, plus you can undo them and move them where you like, so ive been moving all my lower branches all over the place making sure their all getting the light, great idea using pipe cleaners, very cheap and you can keep using them, the only downside is the metal starts to rust when exposed to water so keep an eye on the parts around the plant, not sure how rust would affect the plant or even if it would, i just change my pipe cleaners to avoid any risk

thanks man. good looks! how long did it take for you to notice rust on your pipe cleaners? I will def be changing every time needed! i don't think rust would be any good for ANY plants. THANKS DON +REPS! :Namaste:

i agree fimming slows the plants right down, you may see very little growth for 2 weeks, and if like me you have messed it up then it will stop growth till its topped, i messed it up and then the plant must of put all its energy into fixing what i did, and all i ended up with was 1 shoot so i gained nothing and this shoot was growing very slow with badly deformed leaves so i topped it and within hours the plant had grown more than it had it 2 weeks so just keep an eye on it and make sure their is still growth at the fim site, if it was done wrong and you took to much off or to little then the plant tries to repair the problem and this somehow stresses the plant and stops growth, well thats what happened to me anyway, but your fims look better than mine i think i took to much away, so it will be good to see the results when its been done properly, but the plant will take time to recover but yours are outside so may recover a lot better.

with the pipe cleaners i noticed them rusting after about a week, but i was spraying my plants every other day just to give the plants a fine mist and when i removed some of the pipe cleaners i noticed some was starting to rust so used others that was new, just worth keeping an eye on mate, didnt want to see you have any problems that i could of prevented by opening my mouth, so id say once a week just check along the length of the pipe cleaner and check for rust, might just be mine was made of something different and yours may not rust,

another word of advice, some plants when you top them or fim them to get more main colas this makes the main colas smaller, so if you left the plant to grow you would have 1 big main cola, when you top it you have to main cola, well some plants then give you to smaller colas instead of having the 2 big colas created by topping, this isnt a rule for all strains, but say you had 4 main colas, you may only get a 1/4 what you would if you had left it to grow as is, so the yield wont be smaller it would be the same, usually if you have 2 main cola you will increase the yield possibly, but the more main colas you have the more chance you have of getting smaller main colas,
not trying to put a downer on things, just though id pass on what i have read, but even after reading what could happen i still went ahead and topped my plant, but its strain dependant as well, some strains will improve yield by having more main colas others will give you the same as if you had never topped or fimmed

HEy miwa, i did 2 FIMs and 3 new tops. not including the two new main tops that i have from topping it. I have not seen slowed growth? she has been in EXPLOSION for the past week. even after FIM. I'm just not really sure if i did FIM right. twelve12 said i did a good job. but i just don't know how they are suppose to respond to the FIM? like where exactly the new tops come out. She's now on "crazy growth" stage of organic BPN feed schedule:thumb: hopefully she will take well too it(fingers crossed) thanks for stopping by again buddy :Namaste:

yes don thank you for all the GREAT info. previously in my journal when i asks 1212 about the FIM he said it was done good. Also growth has not slowed down as you can see comparing my pics from today to my pics from yesterday. the FIM site is growing back but I'm not sure what the RESULTS from the FIM are actually suppose to be? but i think i will see in a few days what the results are. yea my plants get a natural mist every morning too(dew) so i imagine every week i will need to change pipe cleaners. GREAT THINKING DON:bravo: Im g very thankful for all the GREAT input you put daily in to my journal. I can not express my gratitude enough :Namaste:

GOOD STUFF MAN:thumb: this makes me wanna maybe just continue lst and let all the tops just GROW from here on out :) i think i have enough colas :) ill just continue lst around pot like a lazy "Y" and then when it goes around just let it go UP from there:) :Namaste: +REPS
