DB's First Grow, White Russian Clones and Mystery Bagseed

Haha, well she know's it's all for the greater good ;)

Currently trying to find my red bulbs... currently have one blue and one red in there :s

Good news is now that half of the seedlings are showing female, so I have 2 plus the White Russian clone in flower.

I took 6 clones off super-mum last night and am going to give her a few more days before I trim her again.

Question: If I cut her back over a period, then repot her into a smaller pot, is she likely to survive? I'll feed her some superthrive for the stress, but assuming I don't massively overprune what does root damage do to a plant?

Hit and miss, I suppose, but I can't keep her this big... am going with the cardboard box for now, but not ideal :)

Problem is cutting thick stems. Dryrot creeps down and dooms. Better off
using her hard then kissing her off. Replace her with her daughter. Or two ;)
Genes don't 'dilute' generationally. Only difference is state and stage of growth.

You need to do as you plan, to learn. My culling parameters are from my own experience,
and personal resource assessment.

Good points, cheers.

Remembered where my red bulbs are...

Question: with these cfl's... 2x 125w red, or 2 red and 1 blue... or 3 red?

Planning further lst to give a nice canopy, may even try scrog if I feel brave enough.

Clone in flower was too close to the cfl, had a bit of loss due to burn... not much, but a lesson that you can be lazier with cfl and have less risk of burning your house down!

My clones of the clones not so happy, had a lot of rot. Think that I need to rinse out the propagation tray with bleachy water to kill anything and start over.

May well have had too much water in the root riot blocks :(

About to give first flower feed with Bio Bizz bloom.

Question: Using filtered water from my water filter jug... is ok as it removes the chlorine, right? Better than leaving the water to stand, I'd imagine?

Colors? More blue the merrier. Many say red for flowers, but I haven't seen
an objective demonstration yet. More light is more better; any(?) color.

Try a scrog if you're patient enough. Fiddle faddle + time = scrog.

I use coir for cuttings and everything else, it's impossible to waterlog.

Filtered water is fine, many swear by RO.
I use fresh tap water prepared by my citys' waterworks :) 240 ppm

Thought... would candle wax seal the wound and prevent rot and infection?

May give it a try...
Pruning pitch for tree wounds remains tacky. Candle wax may flake off.
Perhaps a small amount of melted wax mixed with even less veg oil?

Lol, guys.

Third time I've started posting, but kept getting high and distracted. Third time's the charm... or not.

Finished my carbon filter, very pleased even if it is n00b and cheap looking :p Black tights would have been a lot better, or silver.

Three plants in flower look happy, clones are running under sideboard lighting in kitchen and mum there too to stop her going into flower. Will look at cloning and wax/oil the cuts and see how she goes.

Fitted... pipe too long, and if I find the time I'll saw it down.

Was initially putting a conical car air filter onto it with activated charcoal, and then a Rhino... but decided much cheaper to make it.

Have used the conical on the air intake. Have a bathroom extractor fan pushing air into the tent, through the filter.

Question: Debating getting Neutradol pots and putting 2 in the tent at the bottom when the flowers are bigger, to reduce stink. Wise or not? Wondered if the smell could taint the flowers... personally I dislike Neutradol but it's a cheap solid odour neutraliser. Ona is 16 pounds...
