Dank's Adventures In Dankland

Yes. I was trying to give him a time frame for how long it would take. Also me and Sticky both mentioned possibly clipping the bud off the top but I saw that you do not do that and since you have done it successfully I was trying to show him what yours looked like but I could not find it.
im glad you and van did that dankman is a little worried its hard to watch a plant do what appears to be nothing but its going through changes you just cant see them yet maybe seeing this info will set his mind at ease its a slow process! :)

I'm going to take some pictures of stuff that I have right now that had to reveg. I have already harvested all the mom plants so you can see how long this process really takes.

I like to use that as a tool when I have a lot of stuff growing. It allows me to keep clones small for a long time.

Ok, so here is what I have going at various stages of their clone life cycle

All of these clones were taken in flower specifically to save space and have a chance to harvest the mom, dry her, cure her and determine if I want to keep it around.

This is a Jack Herer taken at day 26/27 in flower. The mom has since been harvested on flower day 70. The clones took about 10-11 days to root and then went into soil at about day 15 from cutting. SO that dates these at about 45 days in their current containers. They are just now starting to throw out new growth that isn't funky. Not sure I will keep this one....testers have been decent but not great and I am not keeping average or above average plants

Now this one is an Afghani that I took at about day 12 in flower. She rooted in about the same time frame of 10-11 days (my general norm in rapid rooters for my environment). The mom is on day 40 of flower...so you can see the big difference in growth taken earlier in flower vs just 2 weeks later. This cutting has been in this container for about 17 days.

And a side by side comparison of the two clones above...

Here is another cutting off the Jack that I rooted in a glass of water in my dark basement. Took her like 35 days to root (never changed the water and it only got limited sunlight through the basement window....and basement temps were 58-61 degrees during that time frame)

You can also see where the old bud site is dying and drying up. I pick that stuff off as it dies. If you are OCD you can cut it out, but as long as your RH is in check its not really a big deal as long as you pick it off eventually. If you had high RH, watch it as a potential spot for bad stuff to pop up.

Here is a Sour Cherries....same story on her as the top Jack picks.....taken around day 26 but she rooted in 8 days and was in soil by day 12. That puts her closer to 50 days in this container.

And a double planted Skunk.....both of them are about 45 days in the same container

And a triple comparison of them

One more thing to think about the plants are not genetically designed to reveg they grow in one direction seed to veg to flower to seed.

This is true. But just because something is designed to do something doesn't mean we can't do those things if it works better for us.

There is no way I would be able to flower out the number of strains I do and keep clones of them going if I didn't utilize taking them in flower to slow down the process. I just trashed two of the Hindu Kush clones I had in solo cups for 40+ days while i waited for the product to dry and get jarred. I am able to hold 20+ clones in a 2x4 under 90 watts of light for a month with no issues.

Now for strains I like to keep churning out product....I will take in veg so its a faster turn around. The above process simply allows me to strain hunt within my space/set up.

Thanks van for the info. My cut was taken halfway through bloom. It got put on 24/7 for 2 weeks. Now it's on 18/6 with the others in my veg tent. It's still healthy looking. Just stalled like it's in limbo doing nothing. It's also still in a solo cup. Do you think it would be better if I put it in a #1. I left it in the solo thinking about not giving it transplant shock. I'll find a pic

Oh and one additional thing....all my stuff is grown organically with water or ACT only 90% of the time. I might add liquid Kelp or Fish Emulsion fertilizer but thats it. So no mixing nutes or pHing stuff....I just dunk the little plants into a 2 gallon bucket of water.

I would leave it until it's starting to throw out fresh healthy new growth. The later in bloom....the longer it takes. I had a blueberry that took almost 2 months to grow out of the funk.

Here's my clone

I have been growing with water only for the last two rounds. I'm out of my soil mix at the moment. Can't wait till spring so I can mix another batch

How's it going for everyone tonight. I stopped by my favorite BBQ joint and got carryout for dinner tonight. They've cheapo'd out on stuff. What a let down. I think BBQ is lot like growing. If you want quality you're gonna have to do it yourself :) All the seedlings look good. The SSC is little bit behind the others. But still healthy. Seedlings are so slow. Lol

One thing I miss about Arkansas was the roadside sheds that sold a Good BBQ sandwich, with some good old coleslaw ontop. I've yet to get any good BBQ here in Oregon..........
