DankDragons First Grow

"Puffin" is laid over limp in her pot!! is this because she is a new shoot, or is it a bad sign of things to come?? she is in purely clean potting soil... no nutes... Lil One never had that issue.. but she is also in outdoor soil with natural nutes.... should i put some dead material in with puffin and give her some food??

Are the calyx open and do you see pointy 'weed looking' leaves?

Sometimes sprouts stretch higher than the roots can support. So they fall over. Growers just prop um up with a tooth pick or something til the get better rooted. I figure she hasnt rooted too much since her pod was still on there. Id prop her up gently and give it a couple of days. ive seen lots of really good growers who have to prop a seedling here or there.

Is she green?

calyx=open
weed leaves-yes
green-yes

should i try to find a tooth pick, or can i use some soil and bury part of the stem

Ya, cause its a day old. You were very weak and limp at a day old too :rofl:

Heres what I would do--- Prop it with whatever you like so that the green part is getting plenty of light. Dont add any water or anything for min 24hrs. If she hasnt stood up by then, do NOTHING and wait another 24hrs. Then we can go from there.

Dont panic or do anything crazy to it. Let it be. We have all seen full grown trees that fall over, but are still very much alive. Let Photosynthesis be your b*tch and root that girl then she will start reaching for the light.
Whew... I need to smoke a bowl. :):)

When starting off my seedlings in soil I always tend to fill my pot half full when planting germinated seeds. Then as the seedling stretches I can slowly add more soil in increments. This has shown me great results also when transplanting my plants.
