Dangers in a state of meditation?

TheLife: You were in the right place. Lucky you. Funny how the buddha light is right here but most don't know how to access.
Onwi: You dad does tai chi??? That's a wonderful moving meditation and I'm surprised you are not doing it. Explain please.

i've met the buddha before, i had to meet it in another place...
a place much different than this place...

it was a beautiful place... brilliant place...peaceful place.. knowing place...

it appeared just as alot of the ancient pictures of buddhas appear...
surrounded by flowers... sitting down.. etc..

Like this picture.. https://www.andyweberstudios.com/assets/d_med_buddha_medium.jpg

it told me i had reached enlightenment...

this only lasted for what felt like maybe 10 minutes....

then i was back to normal.....

i really wanst even into buddhism at the time...
but after that, i figured...
multi-dimensional buddha being...... big flowers.....
enlightenment..... shit... the asian cultures know whats up!
lol.

by the way, i'm being 1000000000000000000000% serious about this..
changed my life forever...

theres a saying though...

a wise man, cuts wood all day, meditates, goes to sleep..
a wise man, cuts wood all day, meditates, goes to sleep..
a wise man, cuts wood all day, meditates, reaches enlightenment, goes to sleep.

a wise man, cuts wood all day, meditates, goes to sleep.

for a while i thought the experience was like a "chosen one" thing or something..

but after a lil while of research/ asking people that practice buddhism, i was told not to take it seriously, it was unique to my own self, learn what i can from it/ move on.... it was really Luck more so than anythign....

I've tried many time more to find that place inside myself again...

no luck at all...

Once in a lifetime moment...

p.s.

you see how alot of the pictures of holy figures/buddhas have the orb's around their heads?
i figured out thats a symbol to show elevated consiousness....

when you hit the perfect pure state of mind, everything becomes golden... filled with light..
simply light.... thats it.. i figure thats what those orbs around the head represent...

thanks for the reply thelife.

that does seem like a really intense and meaningful experience. i duno if i'd see the buddha...im christian btw. but maybe upon 'enlightenment' we see the version of God that we are most comfortable with...
i hope one day i get to experience something like that...

lucky you man :)

HAHA my dad has done tai chi for over 25 years. his 'master' if u wana call it that way was the apprentice/disciple (duno how to translate to english), of the last guy in hongkong who fought on a "lui toi" which is a fighting arena which purely consists of straight logs of uneven length...so the fighters would have to stand on these trunks and fight...

its the "ng" style that he practices and since he's been researching and practicing the art since his retirement he decided to give out free classes to friends and their family and anyone else who is interested...

hahaah i dont particularly want to practice that style because, to be blunt, that it seems a bit boring for me...
i practiced the "chan" style for a little bit, but that was when i was still a kid and that is more like regular kung fu and is fast and everything.
i gess sometimes when i go visit my parenst and see him teaching his class etc. i do feel a bit guilty that im not learning all the stuff he's gotten and passing it on as well maybe to my kids or something...
but ah well. plenty of time to learn it after i finish my studies :).

hahah interested?

come over some time. im sure he'd be glad to have another student :D

The Light contains all. All the enlightened beings reside in the same light--no labels there, no religion there.

yeah...i gess where i'd like my meditation to go if i start practicing it, is less of it being a spiritual or religious experience, but hopefully more of a mind-expanding, self-aware, lets-see-the-bigger-picture, kinda ending...

oh reallly? i didn't noe that...

so is englightenment more a state of mind rather than just a God thing?

I was thinking of the basic tai chi--balance, slow movements, that stuff. BTW I find it difficult to do some of these things, including real meditation, with mj in system. It's hard to focus and hard to want to settle down. Find it much easier when not smoking. Sorry to tell you. :laughtwo:

^ohhh. hmmmm

thanks for clearing that up julianne. hahahaha always helpful :D
