Really appreciate your suggestions and input Curso! Do you notice any difference in the quality of LED for veg vs your past lighting system? (as in plant health, growth traits, length of veg). Are those flowering pics you have also the same light?

So far I have noted that the node spacing is much, much tighter with the led, I was using a 400w Mh to veg previously. Profound cooling difference. Quality is yet to be determined. I run a small booster fan in that tent for fresh air intake.

The flowering light is the 240x5w mars II...its bad ass bro, I'm very happy with that purchase. We plan on replacing the hydro grow's lighting if this round goes well with mars II's as well :)

Again Curso I thank you for your input and taking the time to help me with my purchase. I love how we all chip in to help better our growing community!! I think I will be making my final decision tonight for the lights and I think I will go with a MarsII to replace my 600w hps(dimmed to 400w) and the 144x3 for my veg tent. I have high hopes for these lights and I really appreciate your help in my decision :)

You're welcome bro. I think for the price they honestly can't be beat be sure to order it directly from Sara. Yes there are other great led sponsors but the results from their lights to me dont warrant double the price. I think you'll be happy with your purchases, that little bit more with the 144x3w will be good for your area I think. I would be the first say if I hated them trust me.

When you say "bumping it up" do you mean more LED's or LED's with more wattage?

Well Curso, you helped me make my mind up. For my veg tent I went with the 144x3w which will save me around 130W give or take a few and for my flower tent I am replacing my 600w/400w HPS with the Mars II 80x5w. I hope it will give me enough light footprint but after taking a few looks around 420 magazine and at BID's photos, I think it will suit my needs just perfect with my 400w CMH in there too :) I really appreciate your help and can't wait to get these new lights in the mail. Sara has been awesome in the whole process and so far A+ customer service help :) I appreciate all your suggestions, input and help as well Curso!!! After 2+ years of debating, researching and wishing, LED here I come!!!
 
Sorry I didn't get my act together today ice,but it sounds like your dialed in just right! You will love the TopLeD lights,I only wish mine was a tad bigger, but so far it has exceeded my expectations and really I'm just getting started with it, the lack of heat generation can't be understated ,even compared to t5's
They defo like the more powerful/usable light vs the high temp over intense wasted light of hps much better:thumb: glad your coming to the pink side! Muhahaha!

Awesome bro!!! I just think for all intents and purposes the MarsII is perfect for tent growing. I'm pretty sure anyone who purchases one will be pretty happy, unless they are already the type of person that complain about everything...Let me know if you start a thread, I have sigs off and don't really get around the forum as much as I would like.

LOL Thanks on the ghetto humidifier it works you just have to play with the amount of water a bit, that tray I have in there has little zones 2 full zones keeps it around 60% I'm good with that :)

Icemud's tent is 2' taller than mine, while I'm pretty sure mine would flower nice I would go one step up in footprint if I were to flower with it in a 7' tent.

Ya know that's awesome!!! I was thinking about your Cmh and you have a splendid idea right there buddy :) I wanted to go with Led for this grow originally but was a bit unsure of it as well. I'm happy I pulled the trigger. So will you.

Sara is great, I enjoy my conversations with her when we catch each other on-line, and want everyone to realize...I paid for my lights. I really get nothing in return for promoting them other than knowing you guys have a better lighting source that didn't kill you to purchase.

I'll drag them out today before I brix them and take some nice bud pics. They're looking like they are about to start some swelling ;) I love this sour diesel #2 It's one of my favorite strains I've grown, it'll never leave my grow (I have a mom of it at the hydro grow ;) and a couple beans) that strain is my personal so I really look after it well :) But its frosty and getting fat and I'm totally rambling so...Pics once sleeping beauty awakens..

I cleaned up the 3 longer vegged plants today. Starting them @12/12 then switching them to GLR was beneficial or at least in this instance it was. While cleaning up the Toxic Waltz's (Ch9 female seeds Toxic blue 33 x gdp) I noticed preflowers on both, happy days they're both female :high-five: I did not notice any on the OPP (gdp x gsc) yet. Everything in there is doing very well very tight spacing I'm going to take clones of these plants after they recover, they have vegged really nice and I might want to keep one of these pheno's around. That'll be in a couple days. The Urkles are growing roots, they have made no topside progress other than standing straight up and reaching for the light which is perfect, exactly what I want. Because of recent purchases not making it to me I am starting to plot out the round after the one in veg. Like I said I'm starting to...lol

Ha you inspired and will help! It's been amazing reading the pages, with interesting detours, like the bulletproof coffee. I was curious about something you mentioned along the way, that you were trying to determine sex of the seeds, based on morphology, I guess (didn't read that connecting thread). Since you didn't come back to that idea, I guess it didn't work out?

Also earlier in the thread you helped a new guy get in touch with DocBud. Doc? If you're out there, could you pm me your email?

Actually I totally forgot about that seed thing...2 of the 8 I believe I started were dudes :) And I really cant fault the methodology I might have been a bit to relaxed when I picked those 2 seeds.

Ah yes the bulletproof coffee..I swear by them. They train your brain to burn fat instead of sugar, it's the healthiest thing we can do for our bodies. Sugar at the end of the day turns into fat. I do cheat with my morning Bulletproof coffee and put 1tbls of raw honey in with it just to break the fast, the liver can break that stuff down and get you rolling faster than waiting for the fat to enter the blood stream. It happens fast but not as fast as raw honey ;)
