here are some searches for pH meters

most pH meters have a 2 point calibration. pour a small amount of pH 7 solution into a plastic bag and dip your meters tip into it, adjust your meters trimmer until it reads 7. next pour a small amount of pH 4 solution into a plastic bag and dip your meters tip into it, adjust your meters trimmer until it reads 4. never let your meters tip dry out. either use storage solution or pH 7 solution in the cap to keep it from drying out. re calibrate your meter every 2 weeks so it is accurate.
i often buy from www.sunflowersupplies.com
here are 16 oz sizes for pH 7 and pH 4 solutions at reasonable prices.

if you do not have one already pick up a 30x jewellers loop so you can see the trichomes and judge when to harvest.

Hey coke didn't realize ud posted ur grow. Did u fix ur problem girl u had a few weeks bak? I think king jon c wil be able to tell u the products to rid ur grow of gnats. I feel sure I read a post of his on another grow with a gnat problem.

I don't no about them going back in the soil but I understand they lay eggs in the soil. Its also my understanding that ic the top soils dry they keep off it so a good tip is to put a half inch layer of perlite on the top soil so after waterings its dry real quick. And another tip I read somewere was to take a slice of uncooked potato and place that in the room. The gnats will lay there eggs on that as there attracted to it and u simply replace the potato each day

Good news about ur girls

i use diotomacious earth as a barrier on top of the soil, it can be mixed into the soil as well. it is a sharp edged silica powder that will kill insects as they pass through it. i bought my diotomacious earth from a feed supply store. yellow sticky cards are helpful to catch flying insects as well. some forum members use Mosquito Dunks whose ingredient is Bacillus thuringiensis israeliensis as a drench to kill the larvae. i have ordered products from Biocontrol Network - Bio-Rational Alternatives for agriculture, horticulture, commercial and residential use. for pest control previously.
