Cultivator's Return - Multiple Grows

She's quite big if you ask me. What is the container size? You are handwatering them once a day or on drippers?
And last one on the harvest subject, you hand trim them or use trim machine?

The container size is 25litre fabric pot. Hand watered once daily. The Amnesia in them pics have had only base nutrient and a basic boost. Ive barely touched the grow actually my partner has managed it while ive been out of the country and she's done a great job. Thats why the plants aren't pruned up to the best they can be as she's inexperienced with that but for being hand fed once daily, having to survive in sub 70f temps lights on and only got 2400w its not a bad grow at all.

I hand trim but im about to purchase a t4twister trimmer because im fed up of wasting my life in grow rooms trimming. Im struggling a lot with my health so anything that makes life even slightly easier is a bonus to me.

Hey cult only just signed up. Iv read all ur journals and gonna try ur coco feed schedule, im currently running the mills range av you heard much on this brand i know a few ppl that have run it and had mega results and the normally run the buddah trees range, im in the uk by the way

So I started harvesting the Amnesia Haze on Sunday. I was on my own and took me over 6 hours to trim 3 plants so I decided to just dry plants then do a full dry trim as I didn't have time to finish the job. Its a better way to do it bt takes ages to trim, I hate dry trimming lol. The quality on the Haze is 9/10 but very small buds.

I am going to harvest the Alien system tomorrow. That will be wet trim and dried on the sticks. Ive had nothing but problems with the system this time and it def would have ruined a less experienced growers garden. They been hand fed past couple weeks bt don't look too bad given the issues. They have been on plain water now for 7 days.

The hand fed room is looking great, most of the plants are monsters and look very healthy. There are a few rats in the room as always when growing from seed. There is definite competition for light also s its too crowded. I will take these another 2.5-3 weeks before harvest.

Finally here are the clones vegging. They are all BLZ BUD and they will go into the system room and be hand fed. I have Amnesia Haze, Armageddon and Jack Heres to go into the hand fed room and another room I have. So I will get some pics of those up soon. Heres the clones....

Great photos Cult, you harvested the alien system earlier cuz of problems or they simply finished earlier?
Good job done!

I'm really curious about dry weight so would appreciate if you update us on this one!

I have been following your grow schedule but I failed with delivering PK 9/18 and I bought canna pk 13/14 which I believe is very diluted.

I am feeding around 1000 ppm do you think that is sufficient? It says 1.5ml on liter for the PK and I am hesitant not to overdo it.

Earlier on the thread you've said you are around 2.2 EC so on the truncheon meter that means around 1600 ppm. Do you think I can go around this amount next week?

What problems exactly you had with the system? I was about to buy one after this grow but after hearing you don't like it that much I might go for the RDWC alien system.

I have that at 1100ppm but thats on a 500 conversion. it depends which conversion you are using, im not as familiar with the 700 conversion which you could be using. be simpler if everyone just used ec or ppm.

your plants will tell you what they can take. If its too strong you will know quickly then just back off a little. don't be afraid to push feeds providing you have enough light. I don't want to give you a number thats is exact, my feed schedule is only a guide and may need adjusted up or down depending on set up and strain. without me seeing your plants in the flesh I wouldn't give a definite number on feed.

I checked that system out and it has some really nice features. I like the auto-top off reservoir. That gives me some idea's for later on this fall. Once you got things stable you could leave that system for a week and be good to go.

which rdwc are you looking at? the pro set ups or the smaller bucket type? I haven't used Aliens smaller buckets. how many lights are you going to run then I can give you an idea which system you may want to run. Make sure you run a chiller, its really important and also I don't like ro water in those systems. tap water is better so you don't get wild ph fluctuations. you can use coco as the medium in net pots and had feed them away from the system to get them started. The systems are decent but im just reverting everything to coco now, its much simpler and more forgiving. I will use dippers and auto feed them.

I was just looking at the smaller 4 bucket systems. I can actually build something similar but I really like the external auto-top off design so the system can be hands off for days at a time.

I agree with you and your assesment on the use of RODI water. I have a system here for my salt water aquarium hobby and ran into all kinds of PH and weird deficency issues with it in the begining. Switching back to well aerated tap eliminated a lot of it.

I do like the simplicity of Coco. I just am not crazy about having to water every day as there is no way under any circumstances am I going to let anyone know that I am growing and have someone in the house watering when I am out of town. An auto feed system for coco is another option I am concidering for the fall run. I am not battling humidity in the summer here and I am rarely home then anyway.

I started harvesting the Alien system last night and im shattered. Im really disappointed with the quality, it looked great for most of the grow and went down hill. The roots are rotten and smelly and switching from flood and drain to top feeding definitely had a negative effect on the plants, flushing salts back through the media is never a good idea. But I have got some weed and its not awful, just average Joe. The hand fed plants look unreal in comparison. I will finish the harvesting tonight and get the system out. Im just going to bin it, ive had it a few years and its served its purpose, the brain unit needs replaced and could do with new pipe work. The pots are just too small for my style of growing therefore im just getting rid of it.

I have the Clones that I potted up exploding with growth. They will go into the system room and be hand fed or put on drippers. The only problem I have is I didn't mark the clones up to match the plants. In the hand fed room there are some weak plants and I just hope the clones didn't come from those weaker plants, if they come from the strong plants they will be unreal. I also have the Amnesia Haze ready to be potted up and the Armageddon, as well as the 5 Jack Herer fast. I have a mega busy week. The grow room will be gutted and cleaned, weed dried and packaged. Then im off to finish the dry trim of my Amnesia, then I'm off to harvest another grow, straight back and do the hand fed room.

Ive just started another space that I might document too. I am starting from seed and I thought I would try something completely new. I spoke with my friend from the seed retailer I use, you really won't find a better seed seller in UK! Always free packs of seeds, plus free samples, delivery is always on time, just perfect service and very knowledgable and up to date on what is going on with genetics. So many shop owners are full of shit and don't even know what they are selling half the time, its just nice to deal with professionals. Anyway we agreed I would try a company called Sweet Seeds and a strain called Green Poison, a 7 week flowering high yielding plant. I will be honest and say most strains ive ever grown that take less than 9 weeks are sub par, therefore im not sure about how the quality will be. But he has assured me of some really good feedback so I will remain open minded. He gave me 50 seeds for the price of 30! Normally I get 40 for the price of 30 on any strain, so definitely no complaints there. I was also given 4 Regular Skunk #1 which I haven't grown for years! I will grow them out and maybe keep a mother plant, we see what happens.

Anyway im off to bed as I have a full night shift tonight. I will get another update done tomorrow with pics of the harvest.
