Cultivator Disciple - Coco - Barney's Blue Cheese

Remember it doesn’t take much ph up to change the ph. Much less than the amount of ph down normally used.
Yea I noticed that on my first try ! went .4 above so now I'm very careful with it. Thanx brother ! You don't know how much I can't wait for my harvest to be there. I haven't smoked in 3 months as I've decided to never buy anything smokable again as I'm fed up of not be satisfied with the quality ! Sure will be a good one !!!

Hi cults disciple you shouldn't be ph'n an ec reading after adding each nutrient for instance add your base nutes then root stim If your using one and call mag is a waste of time in my book then whatever else your using think I counted about seven different products imo that's just overkill but back on topic once everything is mixed just ph to desired number in coco 5.7 to 6.0 then ec an if slightly high use water to dilute it down then ph again

Mine were flipped 12/12 3 days ago and all I've used is based nutes ionic coco grow a bit of silicone now an then and a few drops of super thrive once a week oh and roots excelurator which I've stopped now and my plants are huge 3 inch stems and the ec hasn't been above 1.2 just not necessary less is more with coco or 60/40
Feel free to have a look at my plants I've just put loads of pics up its nice n healthy links in sig

Anyway good luck with this I'll pop in from time to time looks good though nice job

Regards bigbud

I have always used additives from AN at 2 ml/l as this what they recommend, i'll send you a message with the website
i see you mainlined, if you like plant training you really should check @Asesino85 journal, its a great method that doesn't extend your veg much
I’ll be doing his quad line method I hope lol

Hi @Bigbud78 ! I never ph up or down after each nutes or additives I put in the reservoir. It was just this time when I was doing an ec and ph read after each product added to see from which the 2.0 ph drop came from and I realised it was from the ionic coco bloom.

I understand you are maybe not a fan of @Cultivator 's feeding schedule but to be honest with you if that gets you what he shows in his journals and instagram then I close my eyes and follow him blindly : ) I think many people here are following his schedule in coco and I have hears nothing but good things about it. Keep coming on my journal from time to time to see the evolution.

Have a great day amigo !

I'd say calmag is almost certainly a must in coco. You can def grow good plants without it if you have good water and not using RO and have good base 3part base nute. However coco makes the plant have high demand for calmag and by adding it you will never go deficient and plants will be hardy and strong.

As I've said many many times around the forum, my schedule is one version of what I use. It may seem like a lot of products but each has a specific role and mostly to do with plant health and powerful rootzone. You can def grow strong plants without using all the products but attention to detail will grow monsters.

Most people don't see the correct results as they just follow bottles blindly and have no idea why they are adding things and time them wrong. But with practice using the correct additives can be diff between a good grow or an amazing grow.

I know many people who grow weed and because of the volume there is around often struggle to sell quickly and buyers are fussy. My weed is always sold before it's even finished because of quality which is often secondary over yield, in Europe especially. Practice makes perfect.

Hi CD it's nothing to do with being a fan of anything I've seen cults results there great but so are mine with much less nutrients I was just giving a little insight on how I feed which is extremely low ec and no more than 3 maybe for different products. Maybe it's the water round are way but I've never used calmag an never had a calmag def or any deficiency for that matter .but carry on doing what your doing its working plants look good .i just have my own style of growing and it works i grow monsters take a look if you want the links in my sig .
Enjoy the rest of your day CD speak later

Regards bb

Great reading your message. I will most definitely look at your journal in your sig. I'm all about learning and seeing new things. It's just that for my first grow I've decided to stick to Cultivators style and schedule and not change to something throughout the grow. Like you all say ! What y'all do works for you and I respect that : )

A blessed day to everyone popping on by this journal.

All caught up now and subscribed! I want to see how this ends and always fun to watch anyone in coco. Gotta love coco.

I have a hard time disagreeing with any of the information that is being put forward here. Almost everything Cultivator has said is on point. I don't follow his schedule or use his products or methods but I feel like we have a similar mindset when it comes to coco. Most of the stuff he has said in this thread is something I have said to people as well at some point. He will be the first to admit that his schedule and style may not work best in every situation but it is a great schedule for majority of coco growers. That's the great part about this site! You can piece things together to suit your needs the best.

Some of the other suggestions are right as well. You'll see what bigbud is talking about if you go to his journals. He gets some monsters too using a weaker strength nute schedule that is simpler. I kind of fall in line with the "less is more" thinking when it comes to nutes but I do have additives (cal-mag, PK boosters, root enhancers). I just don't feed them as high of a PPM or EC as most people do. Sounds like I am in the middle of both of them. The moral of the story is that there is no wrong answer. Both of them are right. I have found that with additives and enhancers that my quality is better than just with the base nutes though.

My advice would be to not change anything you are doing and just stay on Cultivators schedule/methods. Too many people try to change things up mid grow and it ends up pretty disastrous. The best way to really learn what works best for you and your grow space (and goals) is to change things grow by grow and document the differences. If you want to try something different than wait until your next grow to do it. It's really hard to figure out what went wrong when you start doing too many different things at once. The information is out there so it's your job to figure out what works best for you!

Good luck in flower and lets see some big buds!

Really thank you guys ! I've got the best coco growers following my journal and this really is 1) intimidating as I'm scared to mess up 2) reassuring as I'm sure not to mess up with all your precious advice
LOL

This experience is freaking amazing. I didn't know growing would be so thrilling. I was saying to myself how come I don't seem to have a real hobby. Well I think I just discovered it haha.

Wad up wad up brothers ? Here is how my young ladies are doing today at day 5 of flower. Canopy is looking pretty even and plants looking happy. Humidity is at 55% and temp at day is around 25 celsius and night around 20 celsius. I'm so stoked that I have managed from day 1 to keep my climate in the perfect range.

Looks good in there...you must be doing something right...... :thumb:

I'm currently doing a side by side by going by VPD char and not.
Both rooms are at same temps - 27c daily and 25 @ night.
One room is at 50% humidity, the other is 75 humidity.
Both rooms with same nutes, CO2 supplement @ 1100 PPM.
Same strain - Critical 2.0

So far, from the veg I can safely say that higher humidity works WAY better so if you can do something about it, especially the first 3 weeks in flower, trust me you will be satisfied.
However, higher humidity brings more pests so I use a.r.t.s granulaat @ 20g each pot, its a bio insecticide against worms and larvaes cause fungus gnats are the most common problem, but I had mites too.
I found out, spraying bi-weekly with Neem (i know once/week can work aswell but im a maximalist person) will prevent any kind of pest attacks.
I also have sulfur burner that I burn weekly.

I follow this chart
Veg: 81 F, 70 RH, 1000 ppms
W1-3: 81 F, 70 RH, 1000 ppms
W4: 81 F, 65 RH, 1000 ppms
W5-6: 78 F, 60 RH, 1000 ppms
W7: 75 F, 55 RH, 400 ppms
W8-8.5: 75 F, 55 RH, 400 ppms, RO flush

Hope this information helps you some way or another, good luck.

Thanx a lot brother ! Of course this helps ! So you and Cultivator both agree that higher RH is better than lower ones. Great news. I will make sure to stay in the 60's
