Critical Kush Guerrilla Garden

Saw that I also shouldn’t PH down my water as this might damage the roots due to the feed/organic matter that’s already there. This seems crazy to me as my PH is really high before adding the down.

Plants seem as fit as a butcher’s dog. Having one of them ‘what if’ moments that seem to happen every grow. Testing the PH has always been day dot stuff.

Has anyone else come across this?

Howzit Chro - I've just recently come across the pH-Down thing. I learned a few good tips from PurpleGunRack who posted a very thoughtful guide in my journal (bottom page 3)

I've been using pH-Down to reduce my tap water pH which comes out at 8.3. But I'm using organic BioBizz soil and nutes. PGR says: Don't use pH up/down that shit kills the good stuff in your soil, if your water is pH 6-7ish just add nutes. if it's higher than 7,5 lower it to 6,5-7,0 with lemon juice and then add nutes (I lower my water from 8 to 7 using 2ml/L organic lemon juice)

That was just 6 days ago but my girls look healthy. Hope this helps dude.

But - Your plants look amazing. Fit as a Butcher's. So I wouldn't stress too much.

Definitely, thank you mate. I'm using the same stuff so will be giving it a go. Organic cures for organic problems can't be a bad thing ;) cheers buddy

Hey joe you still want to add the ph down.. but if you are going organic the liquid ph down is harmful to your microbes. I use natural down ph crystals that is citric acid.. better then using the chemical ph down in your organic soil. The plants will still benefit more from the lower ph as opposed to not using it at all. They look really great man.. getting real bushy in there!! ...

Thank you toast, I hope you are well mate, I'll always appreciate a compliment and advice from a fellow gardener

I've got a lot of reading to do on this one!

This is the first time I've used soil bought from a grow shop, it's the healthiest looking garden I've had at this stage so I can't complain

Need to do my research a bit more before diving in though ;)

Yes i have been using organic soil and hot damn i love how my plants look. Sexy things they are!! Haha I see you are doing well here man.. am doing great myself. Became an uncle the other day and i have all this new weird excitement.. its great! Do that research and you got it!! Have a good one man! ...

Ain't soil great Toast!!! They might not grow as fast as hydro.......but man they grow nice!! And you can't beat the flavor or smoothness.

The citric acid in lemon juice is what lowers the ph but you dont want to use lemon juice.. the crystals will work better. Extra stuff is in lemon juice that doesnt need to be added to the plants and it doesnt work the same as plain citric acid.

I think you're right dude, must be some unnecessary stuff with the citric acid in lemon juice. I also seem to need quite a lot of lemon juice to bring pH in range. I've just ordered some citric acid powder online after reading your post. The lemon juice will do till then - the alternative is going back to pH-Down which I don't want to do.

Happy growing everyone.

It is great.... i forgot to send ya a message the other night man... pm inbound mr stank.. i cant wait until they are finished! My plants are so happy and healthy.. love that stuff so much thank you!!! ...

Check your messages Toast!!

Apologies for the lack of an update, been busy ;)

This was Saturday

They look amazing Joe and so many tops! Did you top then or fim them or anything else? I might have missed it so my bad If you already posted that.

The overwatering was something I had to, since my switch to Coco I really got it down imo .

And today. Think getting my watering practices under control has definitely helped this garden. Was always guilty of over doing it but this time round I've kept my water trigger finger cool ;)

It's all about how much and if your watering to run off or not makes the odd flushes more in demand to push out salt build up around roots ?

If run off you should be pushing salts out. So not as much need to flush unless way to much ppm in medium ?

My way of thinking

I could feed 4-5 tomes a day if I did feed feed flush

Why they say every plant has it own liking

But why I love coco no chance really of over watering 30% oxygen at all times light Addict did this sweet video .

Still looking good buddy .

Haha you're way in front KJ, that's too much worrying and mucking about for me ;)

I haven't needed to do a flush yet, hopefully won't have to until the final whistle. My watering before seemed to create a perfect environment for fungus gnats so I found myself flushing out a garden maybe two or three times before the final one and then chopping.

Definitely lost out in the past because of it. I knew it was a delicate feeding period during the last garden and ended up waiting to starve out gnats, missing out on vital food time.

Hope you are good buddy

I FIM/GTF'd (got the f*****). Was well happy with the result, can't wait to see the plant skeletons at the end ;)

Think you and KJ have both mentioned coco. I've used it in a hydro set up (before you ask, we flooded the gaff) but not as a soil stylee medium. Will need to have a look I think...

How have you been mate? All good in the hood

Gonna be some serious buddage soon!

Thank you very much fellow brethren of all things green and stinky ;) seriously, thank you for stopping by and taking the time to have a look. Brings nothing but good vibes for the garden ;)

The bud sites are showing ... The gnats are a bitch, they love EWC and other amendments. I've heard it soil you can't water too much, just too often. I mean within reason haha. Bottom feeding through the runoff tray can also help with the gnats. Either way sounds like you've got things down to a science Chro. Here comes the fun part, let there be nugsssss!
