Critical Comparative: Growing Anything Critical Related? Let's Share Info And Get The Most Out Of Our Grow

Burn me once shame on you, burn me twice, shame on me! Try ProMix HP or even FFHF. So many horror stories with FFOF.

I recommend no one ever grow in soil with built-in nutes.
I'm sorry about my mistake. The Critical is actually in promix hp lol. I've had a lot of success with the FFOF but it has definitely burned its share of seeds. Think I'll grow the strains i know do well in it with these last two bags of FF but probably switch over full time to promix when they're gone.

I'd start the seeds in the ProMix and then build your transplant soil with ProMix in the middle and the top half and make the rest the FFOF until you use up the FFOF. You could do something like an inverse sand castle transplant, where you put in half a pot of FFOF, put an empty 1 gallon (or whatever works ratio-wise) pot in middle of the pot and fill in around the outside with FFOF. Then slide the empty pot out and fill that hole with ProMix and put the sprout in there.

I was just saying to somebody yesterday that was a plan too! Great minds.

So my critical girls are doing great! Both have been growing like weeds and have really gotten bigger. I have them a heavier feeding the other day and they took off. Basically covering the entire 3Gal now I think I am going to train until the end of this weekend let them go vertical and then flip next weekend... I think lol

Here ya go. Critical Orange Punch! Pardon the trim job, It's a work in progress....

Grown in a recirculating dripper system with clay pebbles
Nutrients used were Canna base nutrients and Cannazyn
Lighting used was 2 x 100w COB LED units
Harvested at day 68

These are some of her best top nugs. I haven't weighed her yet....

Nice nugs there fam!

I have tried but I either don't have the time, the patience, or the concentration. Could be all three! Anyway, I thought that was for stretchy strains and I don't seem to grow those. The Candidas may test that theory though.
It does work well.... when you can be bothered to do it all the time lol. Im also guilty of that. I just do it for all strains, get to topping faster

Yer im gonna start using plugs to start seeds from now on for that very reason. Ive had nearly 100% germination but about 75% make it above ground it sucks lol.

I like it! Thats how i make sure my transplants fit in the hole aswell. Fill around the pot then they slot in nicely. But I can see what you said working amazingly well

Day 41 since flip update: Both girls are fattening up did a little defol of the peyote to no avail.lol. took a pic of one of her arms for idea of how well she has took. hard to seperate from the others as its standing room only at moment. both smelling very nice and looking frosty. RQS has done well for such a little time in veg . A definite future grow.

I hope it's okay when I get home...without thinking I gave it some plain standing tap water this morning. Hope the pH wasn't too high.
