Crawdaddy's Fall 2013 TopLED COB Grow

Update on 5 ladies under the Top LED Cob LED + UFO supplemental.

This is Flower Day 7 for these lovely ladies. They all are looking happy and healthy as can be.

I had to move the 3 X 3 tent they are in to make better room for incoming 4 X 4, so got some pics of each as moved them out of tent.

All 5 before move, lights off.

When they were out I used the chance to prune lower suckers some and remove some in the way fan leaves. Need to do this maybe once or twice more probably.

so far I am happy with their progression.

Good morning Crawdaddy,
:nomo:
I am using the same nutes from Amazon as you are! :dreamy: My tent is also in my bedroom (similar concerns), a 4x4 "earth worth" grow tent from Amazon. It doesn't have a ton of leaks, a few pin holes. I finally just reasoned this way; if the tent has a consistent amount of tiny pin hole light on a regular basis, it will adopt, just like a plant outside adopts to a street light. So far so good for me!

How long have you used the GoBox? Do you use anything else? I have only been able to use 1/4 the recommended dose, and keep my ph in check. If I use the right amount, my ph goes way down. Just looking for suggestions.

Thanks so much!

Looking good man :thumb:
Thanks bro, hope they keep doing well.

We'll I have not used the General Organic nutes yet, those I am trying on the new clones/seedlings. These I just showed have been getting 1/4 strength fox farm nutes. I am upping their dosages some and starting to pH my water. I am using pH up to get the mixed nutes/water up to 6.2-6.5. Since I am now using RO water the water has no buffer in it so pH drops faster when adding nutes. From what I read about these GO nutes you have to try to over feed, they not as strong as the Fox Farm, less chemicals and more natural additives.

Your tent should be fine, even with a few pin holes. In my opinion it takes more light then one would think to throw off the dark cycle, and as look as it consistent the plants get used to it.

Your plants looks great but they look like they're on the veg of nutrient stress.

The two that are the most green, the Choco Chunk and the Double Berry, where still in that old hot soil mix with some regular Happy Frog added. And I gave all 5 of them a pretty healthy dose of week 1 flower nutes to jump off their flower. They getting a small amount of water with ferts in next few days, then just water for week or two.

Those are the two exact plants I was thinking of when I made my comment. I see a few leaves clawing downwards.

Lemon juice is great to help move things along.

Luckily those two are in the smaller 5 gallon pots, so less soil to dry out before str8 water. The other 3 are in 7 gallon pots.

From now on I am using 5 gallon pots for indoor.

I am extremely new to this, but to me it looks like they are ready to be watered. I know I take pictures as I water each plant, and I really should be taking pictures a couple hours after! They really perk up! (Don't trust my limited knowledge though)

Pinky,

With mine I think it depends on plant looking at, the Choco Chunk and Double Berry are in 5 gallon pots, with some 'juiced' soil mixed in(but i imagine wearing off soon), while the other 3 are in 7 gallon pots, just regular soil and some nutes in water.

The first two get under watered easy. While the last 3 can get over watered. Pain to manage.

IMO early stages of overwatered and underwatered plant can look very similar. So I normally tell best by weight of pot, big difference between wet and dry soil weight. As of last night the 7 gallon pots are all too heavy, while the 5 gallon are just about right or too light, meaning need water tonight on those 2.

In other news, I just transplanted my 6+1 seedlings into slightly larger, maybe pint or two, pots. They will live in these for next 2-4 weeks before going in 5 gallon pots. In the same soil mix as their future home, 2/3 bail of Pro Mix with bag of Ancient Forest mixed in 44 gallon trash bin. They all had healthy white roots, sorry forgot to take pics and they all look unhappy after being disturbed so roughly anyhow, but give them day or two and they should be happy.

My clones are still being slow, not sure how many are going to make it. Last run all 8 rooted in 7-10 days. This run out of 10 2 have been planted in soil and not looking happy in 14 days. 6 more showing signs of roots, 2 showing no whiteness on stems. and none looking all too happy about things. Only big difference between this batch and last was these where under LED whole time, last where under T5. Could that be it? I used clonex as before but no Olivia's cloning solution for first day because ran out.

THE REPS ARE RIGHT Will Start AT 6:00 pm EST... Approximately 1hr & 40mins from this post

:Namaste: The only thing I can tell you is that clones like less light. :peace::cheertwo:

Hey Chronic same to you, but day late :)

Had a minor catastrophe last night, was raising the light in the TopLED COB tent and the shaking must have caused one of clip on fans to some lose. It fell RIGHT in the middle of the Double Berry, splitting the stem in several places. Well busted out the Duct Tape and metal wire for splint patched her up, after light came back on tonight she is perky again so probably be ok.

Planted the last of my seeds I been sitting on; 4 X Hawaiian Snow, 4 X Brainstorm, and the White widow and Chronic freebies. All feminized.

ouch sorry bout the fan but the plants are pretty tough luckily
cant wait to see the new plants growing
Happy Munchday Crawdad :thumb:

Glad you were able to save that Double Berry Crawdad.

Thanks Chronic.

I also just bought one of those water farms you use, try out hydro. Seems like a budget friendly way to try one out.

I also just replaced the 100W Diamond Series over seedlings/clones w/ a 4 bulb T5, I think clones and babies are too fragile for LEDs.

Glad you were able to save that Double Berry Crawdad.

Thanks, Duct Tape is the king.

And I was wrong it was the Super Cheese that got smashed by the light. Man she got smashed too, she was flattened. When I first saw i was like she is dead, so performed immediate first aid and was not worried about pic. But here is the Duct tape..

and looking a bit ragged but ok 24 hrs after injury.

The Hawaiian Snow is dominating the tent though.

Doesn't it make you wonder sometime? How these plants seem to survive almost anything but yet some of the smallest issues can cause so many problems.
