Crawdaddy's 4'X4' Grow Tents w/Mars II 240X5W LED

Im gonna watch the rest of that guys videos he seems to know pretty well what he is talking about but he sounds clearly bias but I dont know why other then he uses synthetic nutes which you pretty much need to if you grow hydro.

Im going to take a nap but I will be back when I wake up to see your comments on the videos. Take it easy.

After wacthing both those videos a few things...

1. I love the 2nd guy, I grew up in KY and he reminds me of one of the local rednecks, ones that have some brain though(probably cause stayed off the meth lol)

2. I am thinking that there are two basic approaches to growing, either the Earth knows better, or modern chemical science knows better. This is a greater human debate too, for example genetic engineering(holy s*** imagine what a few pHD stoners could do if they decided to make a 'frankenstien' engineered plant, it would be really good or real bad) has its pluses and minuses, but if used right, IMO, could be better then natural evolution(and I have to be political for a second, evolution is a FACT, is not it a sad state of affairs when a comment like that maybe deemed political?). That being said, mother nature been around for A LOT longer then us, but we are the first species to maybe beat mother nature, problem is we may beat ourselves in the process, so I think I am concluding a symbiotic relationship between man power and nature is overall best, whatever that may be....

Hope you enjoyed my Hawaiian Snow induced rant :high-five::peace::thumb:

That video is so true.. And you can mix ag chem with organic methods of growing. The only thing is he said the plants use more potassium in bloom which is true.. But then he recommended a 10-30-10 I believe (maybe wrong) which is high in phosphorus xd Might just smoked too many blunts or he meant phosphorus.. But from what I've seen, I wouldn't even consider not using ag chem. It works so well with weed and most of the food we eat is grown using chem. He's right everything is chem when you think about it.

The pgr issue I can't see that as anything but a benefit. If you use pgrs in veg, especially outdoors, by the time you harvest, anything you've put into that plant is pretty much flushed and gone. You can go all hippy but you'll just lose a lot of weight because you won't even try supposed evil chem. Europe takes it even further, all their fruits and vegetables like apples are grown with the same stuff the Cali has banned (Paclobutrazol) for use in products like gravity.

I don't believe all the hype. The only concern would be for medical patients who use it. They might be a bit more susceptible to different things. But for the average joe blow looking to get high. Once you see the potential these products have in your grow- especially outdoors where the plants can get huge, sure anyone would change their mind.

Im watching more and more of this guys videos. He makes a lot of good points but a lot of senseless stuff too. He clearly has extreme bias. Its clear he doesnt like led at all. He doesnt like soil and hence his mycrorizal comment leaves me a bit skeptical and he also claims indoor grows are far superior then outdoor which I find astonishing that he could make such a claim. He is a expert it seems but some of the things he says are clearly biased.

So res change on the Hawaiian snow today so update time...

Flower Day 35

Things are budding up nicely....

Some shots of all but the Hawaiian Snow under the light, with white balance on(the leaf sheen is from the Mighty Wash)....

My thoughts on this are that nature is so nuanced and interconnected and science takes awhile to reach that level and is just not there yet. Science tends to start with the gross details and slowly work toward detail. Like the way researchers originally concluded THC was the only important component of the plant and they synthesized Marinol, which turned out to be largely useless. Then they discovered CBD and in the process began to get an understanding that the many compounds in cannabis are synergistic and that's about as far as they've gotten so far.

So, science understands plants well enough that yes, you can grow them with chemicals, and yes they will be large and healthy and even of acceptable quality, but the subtle, nuanced, connoisseur qualities of them will suffer compared with organic growing. Force feeding your plants with highly chelated chemical salts is a pale facimile of organic growing with rich soil, natural nutrients and beneficial microbes and fungi. There's just levels within levels of subtle interaction that science can't replicate. Yet. :)

Thanks Everyone and here is another update....

Here are some pictures of the Brainstorm, 2 Double Berry and 2 Choco Chunk,

Flower Day 36, entering the home stretch!

The Brainstorrm, last 3 pictures, is droopy cause REAL dry, they all get fed and watered(except for the Brainstorm who is easy to over feed). The Brainstorm top also got knocked over by a branch of the Hawaiian Snow, I turned it some when put back in so should be ok. Anyhow, photo dump...

Hey Crawdaddy, I'm late but I'm subbed. Back when I was hiding in the shadow learning what I could from here I came across your "Grow Zone" early in your thread, I remember your 4'X4' tent in your office, cool deal, just wanted to say good job and I'm out of the shadows.:lot-o-toke:
