Cr8grow’s Soil Girl Scout Cookies Grow Journal, 2019

Two weeks now fluffing buds loose in jars and burping daily about 5 minutes each. The purple pheno had a little hay smell and taste in the background, now more sweet. Test smoke improving on the purple...all phenos are strong. I plan to continue for two more weeks or until sealed humidity drops closer to 50, will then go into smaller jars for storage with Boveda 62 packs.
Awesome cr8! The next weeks will be fun tasting. I haven't heard to lower the rh to 50 in the jar. Do you remember where you learned that or why?

My experience the past few years has been buying dispensary weed which is always bone dry. I break down into quarters in small jars and with a 8 gram 62 Boveda pack to reconstitute...sometimes takes two. The Result then grinds and burns better. At what point should I just go to long term storage? The stems snap in the buds now...thinking in jars and burping 2 more weeks will improve then into storage with Boveda. I mentioned 50 RH as more of a lower limit. Right now the jars are at 58 RH when sealed at time to burp...using little rectangular gauges that many recommended. Open to suggestions. The green and green/redhair phenos look, smell and taste great. Its the purple pheno (half my yield) Im trying to salvage from too much initial dry time before cure started...I believe its getting better daily.

Feb 27 all into smaller jars with Boveda 62 packs for storage. Three phenos, all strong and long lasting, all different... the redhair is fantastic...smells like strong lemon pine cleaner...very sativa. Im just finishing up the last of my dispensary hybrid quarter, and have been sampling all three of GSC phenos during the cure. Corleone Kush up next.

Btw, you should always fill your pots to the rim....those are effectively "2-gallon" pots. Also, after all your hard work, consider getting some fabric pots. They last several grows and are cheap, but mainly they are excellent for root growth and ease of watering.
BH...I filled my 3 gallon pots to the rim this time for grow #2 Corleone Kush starting week 5. Thanks for the advice back in November.

I really like that cabinet! About how much was it to build? I am figuring out if I want to build something or get a tent. A tent will be eaier to move when I move to a different house but I could also build something that comes apat for consolidation with a little effort and thought. Do you think one could put diamond mylar instead of paint?

Enjoying...thanks for checking out my first grow and cabinet build. I didnt keep track of cost, but its 5 sheets of 1/2” plywood, 2x4’s, paint and some hardware. Flat white paint is a better reflector based on my research. I primed everything with mold kill primer before the flat white paint. More details in a separate thread...link above hopefully works or you can search on grow crate build. A tent would be easier to move for sure.

That doesn't sound exspensive at all really. Now only if I had the tools to do it. Good thing Home Depot will cut to size and I have a drill. I have the stuff for painting, brushes and what not. I would need to buy the paint. I wouldn't have thought to do a mold repelantprimer but it makes sense too.

Question, the black box area seems to be the intake. The small fan on the bottom is pulling air from there. Is the carbon filter vented into that box/area or..?

Enjoying, somehow missed this completely way back when. This was my first grow, I learned a lot since then. If still interested in the cabinet build here are a few shots that may help. The intake was mated with a home made light proof box with a hepa filter. Works great..I change out the hepa and carbon filter every grow. The 4” fan turns over cabinet air more than needed. My buds are always sooo stinky. I will see what you have going on soon. Cheers
