Cr8grow’s Cream Mandarine XL Auto Journal #3 2020

All up and basking in the morning light. Humidity domes are off. I will drop the light to 24” in the next day and will mist around slightly today PH 65 water with Superthrive 1 ml/gallon. First organic nute feed next week.

All four up 4 days ago. Pots are still heavy down low, just giving them a small drink each day. Temp ranges 82-66F. Nothing much to report...a good thing. The darker colored bits are Mosquito Bits for F-gnats. I did this upfront last grow and never saw one f-gnat.

Day 7 since all four up...end of Week 1. Looking good so far, not much to report yet. They will get their next deep watering with first organic veg nutes in the next couple days. No sign of F-gnats. I add about an inch of super chunky perlite to the bottom of my pots, which I raise up with my fancy pot lifters for better airflow. I will add a third fan to the cabinet floor once the canopy starts to build.

I will measure and let you know. I got them from a local grow shop, now closed.
 
Day 10...first feeding as pots were light. 2 gallons total PH 6.5, Bio Canna Bio Vega 2 tsp./gallon, TPS Cal-Mag 2 ml/gallon. Deep watering until run-off, likely 5 or more days before I will need to water again. I will watch for nute burn. Stalks are thickening already...clip fan jiggles them all a bit plus silica. I raised the light today to maintain 24”. Several nodes and some side branching already. I will do some LST on the main between week 2 and 3.

Aloha Cr8! Gonna cruz along for the ride! Set up is effing clean man! I could spot a dog hair 10 feet away in that cab lol plants are looking great so far! They stink too.. really sweet citrus funk and frosty.

I wasn't planning another update Until the end of week 2, but, I had to raise the light another inch, also raised yesterday. No nute burn whatsoever. LST in a few days. Yikes!

Day 14...end of week 2. No signs of any issues...no f-gnats. Main stalk is almost pencil size at this point. Steady temps 66/82F and RH 33/53. Pots still light, so no water for probably a couple more days. Im raising the light about 1/2” per day. Will start LST this weekend. Might add 1 tsp. un-sulphered molasses next water to feed the microbes. I didnt use any molasses last grow.

OOTD...I want a challenge...hope I have to super-crop (never did it but prepared to go bendy if needed). I have a back up plan. Received the Next Light award and it looks awesome. Since I have one grow cabinet I will reserve if the plants get up into my 315 CMH...the thin Next Light profile will give me about another 12” of flower headroom if needed. I don't know if changing light sources will stress the plants. I plan to swap out the 4k bulb to a 3k bulb once stretch is over. With a tall XL Auto plant not sure when to call stretch done.

The one limb I had bent over, still ended up having the biggest bud on it.

I didn't even know you had an entry in the contest. Those were some extraordinary buds to say the least. Congratulations on the win. These xl's are in good hands and dirt. :yummy:

I probably wouldn't swap 'em out unless I had to. Why risk it. Photos, no problem, swap 'em out.
