Cr8grow’s Cream Mandarine XL Auto Journal #3 2020

So many stains to try. Everyone has a favorite, and one more to add to my never ending list of wishes.

I stopped following every new strain MrS. Wishlist definately has no ending. It's pretty hard not to go crazy.

Every grower grows their plants best when they know how the genetics work and that is why I am trying to grow some bonsai mothers and switch to SOG. I will also start breeding soon. These will bring spice to my grow life again. I think I can do well with just Purple Punch and Pink Kush for a long while. After that, I am hoping to come up with a proper cross to satisfy all my needs. I need a fast vegger with dense couchlocking indica buds. I think Blue Gelato 41 x Purple Punch sounds promising.

Not to butt in on your conversation but everything I've crossed with Purple Punch is upper top shelf genetics. Jellium X Purple Punch, Grandpa Glue X Purple Punch, and Jellium X Black Cherry Punch. I have a Grandpa Glue X Purple Punch running right now. We call it Grandpa Punch. It starts out with the fragrance of the Purple Punch with that berry, fruity aroma and this lasts for 5 or 6 weeks. From then on the Grandpa Glue aroma starts creeping in and by the time the plant is harvested there is but a trace of the sweet aroma left. A medium or slightly better yielder with trichrome laden buds.

The plant in these two photos is currently at flip + 27 days.

Beautiful job crate! (crate=cr8, is that correct?)
Amazing look to those colas and you better have plenty of friends or big lungs yourself! :bravo:
MrSauga...thinking Im gonna need some bigger jars...the accidental  tester bud that somehow got nipped off during fan trim was pretty impressive...more terpenes than Chlorophyll....a good sign.

Beez...I like the experiments...thanks for sharing.

stoneotter, I do plan to check out what seems to be a complicated soil system you use. My issue is I dont read manuals and super soil seems intimidating...but your results might force me to learn something. Your plants are looking great.
One day if you do, it'll be ok, I'll be able to kelp help some. The thing is, with the book I was able to get it done from a cold start of knowing nothing about making soil. I know just a tiny bit more now honestly, but with the help of everyone, things work out. I wouldn't want to attempt it without the book though. In a couple of grows I'm going to do a back to the roots grow and return to bubbling teas and keeping it simple. Pretty strictly by the book.

Hey Beez :passitleft: Glad to hear these. Your nugs are forming nicely and lookin' great. My Purple Punch mother is a keeper in the nursery. I hope I'll be sharing some blooming pics of my crosses soon enough. I am also planning to cross LSD with BG41 and feeling very excited about that line as well. I hope my beans arrive sooner than I think.

@cr8grow you know Clackamas Coots soil is another 100% organic option. You can purchase the ingredients individually or if you're lazy like I am I buy the minerals and nutrients already mixed. I take 1/3 Sphagnum Peet moss, 1/3 Perlite, and the final 1/3 is half Coast of Main lobster compost and Earthworm castings (1/6 of each) to which I mix in the appropriate amount of the premixed minerals and nutrients. Then just add the malted barley and correct amount of water and let it cook for 30 or more days. For me this is water only all through veg and halfway through flowering. Halfway through flowering I top dress the soil and wet it in with a tea concoction.

Beez...interesting...I used to work in Clackamas OR. I have to admit my grow style is pretty laid back. I just add some stuff to bag soil and its been working. I was looking forward to 2 weeks in a rental on the Oregon Coast for vacation this summer...maybe next year. I did take notes on you mix, which is probably amazing.

I dont know if the smile on my face is from the Cream Mandarine XL Auto Scissor hash high...amazing...or the quality of the stickiest redheads ever, or how freaking fast you can be smoking the best buds ever. Did I say sticky? Wow @Sunnyskies. 10 weeks and a day between sprout to trim. Plants hung whole 8 days in the grow cabinet...dark, 66F at 55% RH. Airflow was 4” extraction fan only. Plants were Super smelly during the grow. I need another carbon filter. Chlorophyl was predominate 5 days in dry...then terps took over. We split trim duties and I had some awesome help. We started smoking tonight and it is pretty well cured already. A few weeks in the jars will make it even better. I did beat my last grow yield.
