Cottage 420's Organic Perpetual Indoor Garden

lol - just puffed through it hehehe! Did you knock over a girl scout cookies stand after?

Man that Chemdawg is so impressive. Got to love that one. Hanging on for the smoke report. It just keeps plumping up though.

The little LSD is so dang cute. That stuff is supposed to give fits of laughter and if you smoke enough apparently you might see tracers lol. How long did you veg her for?

I must say the far out looks pretty intriguing. You're really hitting your spring stride brother! Just wish I was close enough to try these superlative buds.

Did you ever crack the Panama?

Thanks Doc for the kind words there buddy. Tripping over GSC that's too funny... With the right filling, yeah buddy I can do that.
Wait... what??

I've ran some LSD-25 last round, fill in buds for my stash special occasions and all. This one is actually pretty big, at least the buds are as big and fat and any I've grown only she's like 12" tall. Go figure ... the best things in small packages as my mom always told me! That little lady almost got lost in the big girl shuffle but she's getting fat and happy minding her own business. I like a low maintenance lady fer sure. Gives me a break from the real world... oh ooops I didn't mean that really! :adore:

On the Panama... I didn't want to run that in the warm/hot/humid months...you have no idea just take PACNW weather and turn up the termostat 20+F and 100% RH. AC time fer sure. The weather just turned today... from 50s at night 60s in the daytime with mostly cloudy days sun peaking out about 2ish, just like Oregon to take off cloths put on underwear cause we be going to be sweating for a few days in the low 90s with RH WAY up there. I can't chop under these conditions .... I'm trying to hold off on starting the AC but it's going to have to happen.

I wanted to try some Kimbo Kush to see how that grows since I just bought a pack of Best Coast Genetics - Al Capone (El Diablo OG x WiFi 2). I know those folks are up your way and read good things about the Wifi right, so what about Wifi2?? I was thinking about you when I made that seed purchase. Wifi one of your favorites, eh?

So grow room wise tonight I make my first SST in quite some time. I've been grinding up malted barley for a long while so I thought I'd try some fresh sprouts for a change. I usually do some sort of seed tea once a week. I think SST's add to the resin profile. I can certainly see an immediate change with the buds - they always shoot out a bunch more new pistols after a Tea drench. My take on it tho is that SSTs are supposed to speed up the maturation process. Not sure I really see that with the cultivars I've been running but I see it affecting the BBD speeding up her finish which I'm totally fine with.

See what happens when I get the feeling to try different genetics? I go crazy on seed purchases and horde them. So then what I do of course is to over compensate for my new purchases and then drop 40 seeds in some dirt and wing it.

Here's my tribute to Mandala Seeds Krystalica Pheno C .. I have seeds of this but no more clones. Giving this one a rest after this run and will start up some more in the fall. I'm starting to 2nd guess that move but I don't need stress and I've got enough going right now to keep things right in my world.

Damn you guys have a rough environment over there. WiFi #2 must be a certain pheno. I know most breeders are using WiFi #3 for crosses. I'm not site of all the differences in phenos but the 3 seeds I grew were all different and all had some awesome traits and smoke. It is the best strain I've ever grown. I grew out a rollex og from devils harvest that was a WiFi cross and it was really good even though I pulled it at 6 weeks. That was during the Kali mist fiasco and I didn't want to take a chance that it would get seeded. I wish I would have let it go 10 weeks because the high was just a bit jittery being pulled that early. That said, it tasted awesome and I almost pulled 4 zips even at the 6 week mark. Unfortunately only 1 of the 5 seeds germinated.

I've got 4 WiFi beans left and a pack of WiFi alien regs. I'm waiting for things to slow down then I'll be finding a keeper male and doing an open pollenation with the 4 WiFi fems. I never want to be without that strain again. I'm sure a stork will be visiting you when that happens.

I guess WiFi for me is like Krystalica for you. WiFi is a definite day wrecker though!

Hey BB14

Here comes the heat/humid. I am cranking up the portable AC tomorrow morning. I think my little district is forecast to 85F. I need to chop my first Auto-Cbg. I was so wanting to beat the humidity. Maybe this never-ending rain will stop.

I guess the cooler temps couldn't last for ever, eh.

Not sure how you navigate that flower room, busy place!
grate day today, better day tomorrow, cheers.

Sorry I haven't visited in a while, Bo.. You still have the best photos of the bitchin-est plants. Krystallicas are gorgeous as ever!

Ok so today was full on summer time temps time to turn on the AC ... I came home and it was an early lights out. I run a heavy duty timer that I think has a temp dependent resistor that shuts down the timer (lights) if it gets too warm. This was the 2nd time I've had this issue with this particular timer. Last time it was in the VEG room. I'm going to have to do something about that. Most likely re-locate the timer to a cooler spot. Right now it's on the ceiling above the lights. Not to coolest spot. I'll just put a little fan on it that will be the ticket.

Picture time: starting off with Krystalica this time - these are from seeds I got off a plant last summer. There are 2 of these and they are exactly the same in every way shape buds side branches - real twins from seed. Kinda amazing really.

20160524_190156.jpg

Here's the other one closer up

20160524_190210.jpg

This is the big show: Chemdawg

Lower down bud getting pretty frosty and of course I'm getting worried about humidity. I'm going to hold off on any IPM until the temps go down into the 70s again wont be long a day or so.

20160524_190314.jpg

Middle of the main cola here.. I just put a big bamboo stake and tied a wrap around this plant she's WAY WAY top heavy. Very very frosty here... those sugar leaves are going to be tasty treats. I'm a kinda not looking forward to trimming this one.. thinking gloves are in order!

20160524_190456.jpg

Main cola here, Rad Girls twin back right and back left is the BBD - Black Berry Dream

20160524_190253.jpg

Top down look on the main cola - she looks a lot like GDP but without any green... crazy daze right there.

20160524_190132.jpg

And finally a close up of the main cola big top.

Yummy, she DOESN'T smell like grape like she looks, she smells more like diesel or resiny diesel fueley smell but not strong yet... The LSD-25 is stinking up the room right now tho... I bet after chop the smell will be strong with this one.

20160524_190122.jpg

Moving on.. BBD under skirt shot, she's starting to put on a bit of purple too.

20160524_190444.jpg

BBD lower down bud shot - no slouch here, all the ladies that are beside Chemdawg are over performers! I think there's some science that needs to be done in that regard. Results don't lie!

20160524_190421.jpg

BBD main cola.. starting to bulk up tomorrow will be day 65 in flower - she's getting close but not quite ready. Already staked up gonna come down the back stretch with some SST waterings FTW.

20160524_190236.jpg

BBD main cola .. she started out looking more Indica and then sorta morphed into a sativa looking giant bud girl. Definitely a hybrid ...leaning toward a skunky Blueberry with some Kush mixed in. I wish I took clones of this one... err wait more on that one.

20160524_190223.jpg

Ok done with showing off ... not all my ladies look that ^^^ good. I try but not every girl has big beautiful buds. I'm just lucky this run that I have 6 ladies looking super all at the same time. Doing perpetual like I do there's a few dawgs in the mix! hahahaha.

These are not dawgs yet anyways but here's a snapshot of our veg room. Lots of autos with a few REGs mixed in.

Regs are HSO Black Dog and Exotic Kimbo Kush - the others are Auto Black Cream and Dark Devil. I've got 2x this many ready to up pot. The autos are smallish.. for some reason growing them organic I can't get them to grow large - the only auto to go full size was LSD-25, so far for me anyway.

The big 7 gal pots are the REGs - Black Dog and Kimbo Kush - the rest are AUTOs.

20160524_190552.jpg

Black Cream - she's going to be well black at chop time. This buds for you SS. Thanks and REPS to you for the encouragement to soldier on. :Namaste:

20160524_190540.jpg

these are No-TIL pots, when replanting I usually just use a round tool bulb planter that takes the stem and surrounding soil out around the old stem and just plop my seedling down in that hole - the seedlings I grow in cups the same size as my bulb planting tool. Just cut a hole in the soil around the old stem - up pot... boom. These are 2 days into VEG from seedlings after 2 days of mung been SST and water/IPM.

I top dress the NO-TIL with worm castings, neem/Karanja/kelp/Alfalfa meal, rabbit berries, mycos, biochar & gypsum. The Chemdawg is in a round 3 no-til based on the venerable Blue Jay's deal. Round ball here we go ...Lets get green once again!

20160524_190634.jpg

Holy Fn shitesky!

That Chemdawg may be the most beautiful plant I've ever seen grown indoors. The crystal coating is thick. I'm sure it's smelling just like you say. There's no berry in Chemdawg. I'd save that girl for personal use. Probably wouldn't even entertain the idea of sharing lol!

BBD is looking really good too. If not for the once in a decade Chemdawg, she'd be the star of the show. Nice stacking and beautiful color.

What's your favorite organic input for swelling up the buds? I've been using budswell (bat guano). But I never get the size of buds on that Chemdawg. I know we have different growing styles but dang, a bud like that would be worth changing things up.

Oh yeah, nice veg girls lol.

will i fall asleep while i am smelling it?:bravo: young girls look beautiful:thumb:

Hey Doc well takin pics while the gettin's good ... you know how it goes. A few weeks of gold and the rest is a pile of turd. Easy come, me got lucky.. have clones, I'd love to fill a room with that Chemdawg.

I've got a bunch of ladies in late stage of flower. Starting to stink getting me paranoid again.

This round for late flower stage I started with a tsp of Epsom Salt in 5 gal water and also a 1-2 tsp of that red kelp from Conradino and a few tbs of fish emulsion, and some Seacrop (1-2 tsp) and nettle tea... my wife made me several mason jars of nettle tea and I had one that was 6 months old that I used up in the last 3 weeks going down the stretch. The Epsom Salts helped with the senescence. Maybe its that red kelp with the nettle tea... FTMFW. A lot of the amendments that made note of that I can put in the IPM I will do that as well. What I do is keep all ^^^ that conservative - a little goes a long way .. but I do it over several waterings/ipms then go straight up water for a while. To what I've added I always do the Malted barley teas straight up usually every 2 weeks for a 3 day watering run, and keep with the ACT teas like you and add in some EM-1 to keep the mycos going.

This grow is not without some struggle tho... actually this run is requiring more of my physical input than the last 3 runs put together. I'm not real happy with that but I am happy with the results. Tomorrow I will address the issues I'm having... mainly electrical. Taking the circuit to 80% threshold I need to update to heavy duty timer and run a dedicated circuit. On my list for the weekend.

Keep it green.

I don't get to crazy about amendments - try on my outdoor flowers - they live then try on my indoor garden!

EDIT - major struggles here with lights kicking off mid day.. MF ... I just got a pool pump switch but I think one of my lamps is pulling too much amps due to resistance .. time to measure amperage use and upgrade. Sucks at the end of the grow. I'd rather be watering ... and I thought I'd never say that.

Those mid cola shots were nice too :)

Bo, you've got to send those pics to HSO. Watermark them, :Namaste:? and see if they might recognise you. This plant (Chemdawg) is unbelievable. Sorry I'm so late, but I've been studying all day every day. Great news, I passed! I'll be doing what I love. STOKED!

Speaking of red kelp, I went to Euro-Ebay and I couldn't find anything that's viable for the price. I gave up on lithothamnium for the time being.

For now I'm using limestone. The good stuff!:thumb: with some other essentials and so far so good. I also added the KIS Nutrient Pack FTW! I think my recipe is rocking.

I got 4 bags of so-hum super soil and the autopot XL system. I'm putting it together tomorrow. That with the full GOD lighting and our special IPM foliar and I'm feeling good about things.

I learn a lot from this thread brother! :thanks:

BB, forgive for me for only showing up lately when I need your help, but I've a member who needs your expertise. ohioboy has what appears to be a spider mite infestation. You've shown such fortitude against the borg that you sprung to my mind first. Can you please find the time to offer some guidance to this new cultivator?

Thank you so much BB. You're my hero. :circle-of-love:

So Hi BB14 :ciao:

Are you doing vacation soon, north bound yet? If so--> great trip!
:hippy:

Been a while since I've posted... full on summer temps with high RH to go with. Stormy weather on the way for the weekend too. Tornado stormy ... I've been struggling with an electrical gremlin. I think I figured out my issue thanks god. I didn't have any issues for years and now all of a sudden issues. Most likely a neighbor turned on an AC compressor that needs an tune up and is causing a lot of noise on the AC feed line coming into our home. What that does ( AC or DC noise on the line) is cause havoc with power supplies that do not have proper filtering in the power supply. That in turn causes my power supplies to generate even more noise. That kicks the AC cheepo timers and also power strips to arc heat up and general failure. This could be a big problem. What I did in the VEG room was install a power strip heavy duty with AC/DC filtering and have everything plugged in there. Problem solved. In the flower tent I went and bought a heavy duty 20A pool pump timer, fixed the problems with the timer but my heavy duty surge suppressor kept kicking off and turning lights off. This happens when the neighbor's AC kicks on and sends a noise spike back to the local transformer and I happen to be inline with the neighbor so I also get the spike - kicking off my surge suppressor. Next up is AC line filter and an Intermatic 40A timer.

Ok sorry for the banter but this post will be for anyone that is having trouble with timers and electrical circuits. I'm an engineer with a fair amount of experience with AC/DC circuitry ... not so much house circuits/wiring but HV (+500v) circuits where attention to detail is paramount or I die. I do know how to wire a home of course but that's not my forte as I'm don't have the electrical code memorized like competent electricians do. That said I can help anyone with just about any issues with lighting circuits, timers and whatnot. I'm at the ragged edge on a dedicated 120v circuit close to 80% capacity here. Next would have to be full on professional grow rooms and I'm not going there in a non-legal state... at least for now we are non-legal.

Probably going to stay that way here for some time but change is a coming... I hope I live to see the day we legalize the green. Hillary and Bernie already are on record to take cannabis off the schedule 1 list ... that's going to be the show starter if one of them gets elected and follows thru. Canna comes out of the shadows .. OK end rant before I get into trouble.

Anyone getting into electrical issues hit me up... it's eventual for anyone serious about this hobby.

On to the ladies:

Of course we start off with Chemdawg the Purple - it's been hot before these pics so all the ladies are showing a bit of heat stress... well all except Krystalica -> will grow under most all stress conditions.

This plant looks totally amazing in person.. pictures do not do her justice. I'm going to have a real hard time chopping this one. The purple is totally amazing and I grow a real lot of purple canna plants.

Main cola showing signs of foxtails likely due to stress = heat and lighting... OMG I'm glad I'm running organic...

Lower nugs are staking up.. what's not to like eh? Genetics genetics genetics... I'm learning!

Ok done showing off.. errr.... wait what? Krystalica she's not done showing what she's got. This is the best of the best of this cultivar I've been running - clones probably easily 20th generation, I stopped counting.

Krystalica - leaf to calyx ratio off the charts.. I'm spoiled this is the easiest plant to trim and I get wiped out if I don't wear gloves.... why wear gloves when I'd probably also need a respirator. Just Do It...

More Krystalica goodness - I've got 3 of these coming down the stretch stall mates to Chemdawg the Purple.

I think plants communicate with each other - pushing the group higher and higher, I'm a believer ... plants know we are here and they also know other plants are here in time and space. They also know when predators are here and have defense to fight the good fight.

More Krystalica - lots and lots of big beautiful buds...
