Cottage 420's Organic Perpetual Indoor Garden

Tangerine Zkittlez is giving me some issues. She's stacked so could be root bound.

Not all the old fans look like this. Very strange. Of course 1st time running this plant could be completely normal.

Any thoughts are welcome and appreciated.

Hash Maker Note and Pro Tip:

I don't put any fan leaves in there.

You can do that but my past experience is that the fan leaves give off too much leaf matter that crunches down pretty easy and some gets thru the screen. That makes for a difficult to impossible full melt and harsher (relative to input) taste.

KJ - the orange tray is a 150 micron screen. The white tray is the 100 micron screen/tray.


You can purchase these trays as a kit or separate trays. Say all you want is the 100 micro screen - can purchase them separately from the kit which includes the orange 150 micron screen.
My suggestion is to get the black catch tray and the white 100 micron tray if you wanna just go for the gusto no messin.

The 150 micron screen works too. Just have to develop a touch with the card & that back and forth screening. Too much and I get leaf material. Can run all that thru the 100 micron for a 2nd pass and end up with full-melt.

Full Melt = The Goal

You know when you have it.

You cannot handle the full melt keif at room temps. It turns into goo and stickys to everything.

No go. lol

Cant even take a puff cause its all over my hands - have to scrape it off with a knife. Kinda cool tho... it ya like handling sticky stuff and you got time. It's good you get me high AF. :drool:

Brown Thansk buddy going to order those screens up and black tray so you are saying to get both correct the 100 and 150 micron screens ? And black tray ?

I am going to give this a few runs and see what I can do to get better and better as I’m sure it will be get a Feel for it type of deal.

Thanks for the info so I can enjoy ways and try new methods of making the most out of my harvest .

Again another big thank you for sharing your findings. I understand the time you had to do to put in to excerise this method.

Are you noticing the yellow starting up top or down low ?

Could be eithier two things I’m thinking quick of noticed down low the yellow and green veins I think it’s nitrogen deficiency. Those look light green nice and healthy other wise . Or could be start of magnesium def?

What day flower brown?


I’m no pro buddy but these are my first thoughts .

Yeah KJ - on the dry sift - I got both screens and the catch. You get a kit with the orange and have to purchase the white 100 micron screen separate, is how I did it. You might be able to get just the white and black catch tray.

I would imagine that doing a 150 sift followed by a 100 sift of just the keif from 1st screening, would get you into lots of full melt. Specially the big frosty nugs you grow! :high-five: Y-U-R :passitleft:


I was much more concerned first time I ran DT. The whole plant turned gold (starts out yellow). Panic mode sets in real fast. BTW - DT is turning yellow again @ 35 days of flower as well. Chemdawg is green as an Irish Wake. lol

Yeah I thought that too so I foilered on some Kelzyme - basically it's CaCo3 micronized small enough to get into the leaf stoma. It's progressing didn't help on those leaves.

Also scratched in some fish bone meal for the longer haul.

Maybe its just the beginning of her fade??

She's about 35 days in flower. Smells great too - oranges and chem. But the chem could be her cell mate beside her lol.

The Chemdawg is 38 days in flower and she took a sorta 1/2 sided flop today. Foiler was yesterday right before lights out. She's probably 10 days from harvest. I'm not going to wait this one out. Warm weather is coming.

Basically all these genetics I'm running cept the Platinum Buffalo #4 and DT are new to me.

Side note:

The last Platinum Buffalo - the white version, I harvested last week. Nothing but nuggets. You know that nice plunk plunk nugget roll hitting the surface sound. That.

I never get that - and the nugs are like breaking apart a hash brick. :roorrip: With a 4 day cure. I cant imagine what that turns into in a month.



Pretty nice - great smoke hard to grow. I have an extra pack of seeds, will wait till next fall run to go again. Well unless I cant do without. lol. Not very vigorous and the clones reflected that. I think I'm 1 for 12 with this one.
 
Hey Bob. Ran outta Thirsty Buddha coconut water w/aloe...wondering what’s the best way to get use outta my aloe plant when adding it into my water for watering the girls. Not sure if there’s a process I should put the leaves or gel through first.
 
Looking good in here Bob, those leaves look similar to mine before I started adding calcium magnesium. But that's my answer to everything lol

Good question, I just took a snip off our plant, and blended it into a cup of water. Then just poured that slurry (or strained first) into my water. No idea if that was good or not. used maybe an inch or so of a leaf for my 3 to 5 gallons of water. Might not have been enough, but nothing bad happened. Now I just use a tablespoon or two of aloe juice I picked up from the health food store.
 
Squeeze out the gel - compost/top dress the green stuff left.
Run it thru a food processor with some water.
That should thin it down enough to spray.

The leaves are good as a top dress by themselves too - they compost REAL fast sitting on top of soil.

You can also cut the leaves and wrap the cut end with wax paper and a rubber band then into the fridge - they keep pretty well for a week or more like that. Use as needed.

Trader Joe's - carries a aloe and coconut water mix - that's what I use. Don't know if they have Trader Joe's up your way. Oshawa close?

Easy enough to make fresh tho!

I should start harvesting my Aloe - she's a monster like my cannabis plants lol. I'm training her to grow tall and twisting around herself like a dread lock but made of aloe leaves. She's impressive.
 
Hey Urb - yeah I've tried micronized Ca and watered in some Llama poop water and some fossilized bat turd. Nothing. lol. Same as it ever was.


When I see it on plants I haven't ran before I always panic and get the same result.

Been picking up those yellow leaves that fell off for the last few days. It's a sign I'm getting close to chop.

The DT will loose all her large fans, grow new ones and turn completely gold. That plant I'm good with and used to it.

Imagine what I felt like the first time I ran her @ 45 day in flower she turned yellow! I'm like WTF is wrong?

No particular order

I did have to turn down my HLG board light I added in. Placed at the ceiling turned to full on, started seeing trichomes getting nuked from the light. Only plant that had that was under the Quantum board is the Zkittlez plant.

There's a close up of the trichomes missing heads on the top of the colas. Light was a good 20" away from the plants. Only happened to the 1 plant directly under the board.

I can get coconut and aloe water easy enough(go go amazon) just have an absolute monster of an aloe plant, figure I can get some use out of it for a bit before I buy any more coconut water.

Good to know about the aloe green though...sure my wrigglers in my pots will enjoy the extras...I toss all my leaves, kelp, neem, horsetail ferns & nettle on top of my pots after I’m done brewing them or whatever.
