Cottage 420's Organic Perpetual Indoor Garden

the only difference could "possibly" be the mycos. I use 3 different type at up-pot before flower.

Just wanted to pose my question here in your journal instead of mine, incase anyone else was/is curious and could use the info...

you recommended mycos around rootball when i up pot, but above you mentioned 3 different kinds of mycos that you use... So before i go shopping, i was just curious what kind/type you have found works best, or if there are multiples, should i purchase different kinds for different stages... Seedling to veg, veg to flower... Type deal... Thanks for your time and knowledge bb! Know im not that only one that appreciates it!

My bro would dig a deep hole in his GH and bury a fish ( 2 trout last year) and some fire ashes and lobster shells, then fill the hole and put a plant right above it... now we got on to the no-til.. he hasn't touched his soil the last year. I'm gonna be mixing some stuff in my greenhouse this year and then that's it.

Right on.. no-til is the shadizzles. I've gone 15 rounds with my current soil. Then I planted these Black Hyena... thinking they were going to be smaller plants and easier for me to grow. Oooopsie...

I mainly use my soil mix I'm making now as a mulch but its the same thing as I put in my no-til pots but use it as a top dress/mulch outdoors. I of course throw a few cu. ft. into a bin for later.

We have shit for soil on our property. Generations of neglect. In like 10 years we turned clay hard pan into black soil. Made a bunch of raised beds... I could grow some good weed in them now.

Vermicompost pics - today I was mixing soil for top dress/mulch for our gardens and took a few pics

Chemdawg - clone of clones ... in 1/2 gal Mason Jars plus a painting I did the previous night. I was playing with words and a paint brush. :smokin2:

Vermicompost bin - after winter time.. it was full to the top at new years. Dug some out and took a pic and self-feet! I think thats a hydroponic tomato there after about 6-9 months... I guess the bacteria, fungi and worms didn't consider it food... that's some REAL food for thought. :passitleft:

Vermi-compost screen on top of wheel barrow. Shovel compost into screen and shake n bake.

Output from shake thru screen... this is the BLACK GOLD. Reps to the worms! :Namaste:

Wheel the barrow over to the pile... empty and rake it back and forth. It was 90F today. Sweat equity here. Vermicompost only as good as inputs. We will see how good. Soil test forth coming.

Close up of screened vermicompost... not a great pic but meant to get the idea of the texture - very very close to wormcastings with a little larger particles mixed in... promotes better aeration.

Fruit of labor - beautiful beautiful flowers. YaY :surf:

...speaking of chemdawg...just got an email from Andy at Ace...they have 250 feminized Star Doggies...sound very nice...but holy crap!...too rich for my blood...$57.44 CA for one seed...that helps keep a seed addiction in check......You've had a busy winter bob!, with great results...:thumb::high-five:...cheerz...h00k...:rollit:

Looking good. Stash jar full,,,,, look so much better than empty ones..

Congrats and Keepem Green

BTW I use the Extreme Gardening Mycos' Cost like 20 bucks for acouple pounds of granular, or they have wettable powder, which is what I use at every transplant, that costs alittle more. I get it on the net on ebAy Good shit.

Thats just freaking ridiculous! LOL 50 bones a bean. Crazy what some people charge!!

Yea I saw that Star Doggie, for MotY I chose 1 King Gelato which is $45 per seed. Gorilla sent 3 King Gelato as freebies with my order. I was shocked to say the least!

thanks for this! I will check it out and weigh my options.

$50/bean.... Crazy... Probably pollinated an entire room too.... Thats a good chunk of change per plant... I dunno how people do it and keep their minds peaceful... Seems like highway robbery to me... But i guess for some folks this is just a business now... Not a passion

I use mycos 2 times in the grow ... 1 time at up-pot at hardened off seedling and again at up-pot to flower pot. I use the same mycos each time... a little less of course for a seedling.

Mykes - flower mycos (orange box)

Sustainable Agriculture - SAT - Mycos this is the good one!

BioAg VAM

going to flower:
1 tsp of SAT & VAM
1TBS of Mykes

Mix with a few tbs of EWC in the btm of the hole. Set plants root ball down in the mix and fill in the pot around with soil ... water FTW!

I usually don't have to do anything after that other that watch for pests.

@Pjs420.....any mycorrhizae product with endomycorrhizae will work for you. Ectomycorrhizae is not used by our plant. Like NCW I use Xtreme Gardening. 1st to enter the cannabis market. Lots of newer products too that are mostly jazzed up with other bacteria etc. I apply when planting new seed & again late veg before light switch....regular at outset, wettable on 2nd application. Needs time to work.....fungal networks take time to develop & spread. :Namaste:

Well....its a different story if you are using winnings from the contests. LOL...in fact thats the exact sort of seed to buy with a winning.

True. True and true. I just like the price too. And like said, it's been here forever. Not that means much,,, I'm not splitting hairs so I have no idea how many spores per whatever unit of measure they use. But the granules are 20$ and some change for a kilo.

Now the problem with me,, is I do use a fertilizer in flower. Not the hardest salts tho, which will kill off alot of the little buggers the myco are establishing in your root system.

But I have been using GH Nova series. One thing I found about this stuff,, it doesn't build up alot of salts. Now use that GH three-part Flora series, or some others, they leave a nice salty crust around the bottle's rim after afew pours. And that is the industry standard for hydro.

Well, I'm outta here,, time to roll a dubie and watch a show.

Hope the smoke is a tasty one for ya Mister BBrown
