Copperrein's Dr. Grinspoon And Freakshow Free For All With Viparspectra: Hunting Mothers

Red sap! It's really real! I topped my smallest Dr. Grinspoon this morning and look what happened!

You see, I found some red drops on two of my outdoor plants recently and was turned on to 'guttation'. Guttation is the secretion of droplets of water from the pores of plants. Still I didn't completely believe that cannabis sap could be as red as what I saw. WELP...looks like I have proof now. There was more oozing out of the cut stem but my first reaction was to wipe it off with my finger. On my finger it looked more purplish than the brownish cast blood has. More like the color left on your hands after picking blackberries. So. Freaking. Cool.

I also gave Freakshow her first topping. Nothing cool leaked out. Am sad.

I  your Freakshow. I'd like to follow along to see how she grows.

Sprayed the girls with BTk as a preventative against worms and caterpillars. Not sure if I mentioned before but I knocked the light back to 25% to try and slow the growth on the Grinspoons.

The cloner is sitting on the porch waiting to be cleaned. Perhaps today :D

Good afternoon, copper.

I was just reading the Summer 2021 edition of Cannabis Now and there's an article in it about Freakshow. Thought you might be interested. :battingeyelashes:

Thank you! Again! I'll check it out.

Ok so...months ago I took clones off my outdoor plants and forgot about them after the majority died and I figured I failed again. Well a few survived, including a couple from my pink-flowering Alien Rock Candy. They've been out of the cloner and in soil for more than 24 hours at this point so I'm pretty hopeful.

I took clones from two of the Grinspoon plants and they are now in the cloner in the same tent. I seem to have better luck without a humidity dome on the cloner so I'm running it topless.

Everyone is happy under the @ViparSpectra P2000

guys....the clones...they're all still alive....

I'm so happy they're not dying, especially the ones I pulled from the cloner and stuck in soil. I think they might actually be my first successful clones.

Freakshow is so pretty. I still can't think of her as cannabis. Not saying normal weed isn't pretty...it's just not extra pretty.

Aaaand the Grinspoons are being all weedly sativa <3

Congrats on your clones - but I'm gonna have to stop following this thread as that freak is doing my head in
Too fing weird for my little excuse for a brain

Beep beep! Everything in my @ViparSpectra tent is lovely. Guys...

Freakshow:

She's so badass. I know I shouldn't over-handle them but I love touching her. She's all frilly and soft. I can't wait to see what she looks like covered in trichomes.

In other news the grinspoons and rando clones are happy. Grinspoon is incredibly quick to recover from abuse. I will be growing one of both Dr. Grinspoon and Freakshow outside next year. I plan on just letting them grow in 50 gallon pots to see how massive and strange they get on their own.

Dudes...the clones are all still alive!

Aaaand apparently my photos didn't auto-flip. Sorry for the whiplash everyone!

BUT YEAH...CLONES!

I'm going to have to whack on the Dr. Grinspoons again soon. They are the fastest plants I've ever grown. I may have to put them under a different light. I think the @ViparSpectra is treating them too well.

Looking good copper.
Hope you and your hubby are well.
Stay safe.

Eagerly awaiting your harvest
I am watching to see how large it gets in relation to the other plants started at pretty much the same time, how bushy it gets, what the flowers look like as compared to our traditional grows and what the hostess of this party has to say about the smells that come from those flowers.

Carry on.

Apologies for the delay in updating, the trip is in a week and we're trying to have this place ready to start renovating when we get back. Also my man's computer died and he's been using this one for work.

Anyways, Dr. Grinspoon is showing some clawing so I need to think about root pruning her. Not keen on doing that right before a trip but it is what it is.

My planted clones are starting to thrive and my Freakshows got topped yesterday.

Are you growing 2 of each strain and will you be topping all of them or just one of each strain?

I have three Grinspoons and two Freakshows. They're all getting topped and turned into clones which I will flower out to see what phenos are in the grow. If I find ones I want, the original plants will remain as mothers. Anyone really boring gets flowered and replaced with new seedlings until I find two really great mothers.

There's some foster clones from my outdoor grow in the tent and they'll be getting their own tent once we're back from vacation. Ignore those.
