Conradino23 Keeps On Keeping On Outdoor & Indoor Using LOS/High Brix Methods

It helps with ... um ..............

... focus.

Yeah. :bongrip:

(Great practice for old age!) :cheesygrinsmiley: I got this. :thumb:

A friend of mine and me used to send to NorCal for a 1/2# every month or so. Was always skunk or blueberry skunk. This was early 2000s.. Usually had a few seeds. I of course saved them.

Funny thing was we wood get a zip of coke with the skunk and I had to wait until the coke was gone until my friend wood show back up and give me my weed. lol My friend is still my friend and I think he gave up the coke (not positive but pretty sure).

Many years ago I got sick and was taking opioids for pain and my wife tossed me my bag of bagseed skunk and told me that I smell funny from the opioids and I should ditch them and grow weed instead. It worked! lol

I haven't even thought about opioids ever since my first harvest.

Skunk and Chemdawg.... hard to grow stealthy. I think the old skunk actually smelled more after it cured and dried. Chem smells more when its growing. Skunk you can smell it down the hall when its in a baggie.

The Skunk we were getting was outdoor from Mendicino or close by. Family grown outdoor.

Nixon / Ray-gun = war on drugs which really meant replace weed that helps people with critical thinking with heroin and crack (Ollie North - remember that douche?) and mandatory minimums for weed. Still in play. Sadly. Oh and have the fine peoples that grew and made the best hash in the world ditch cannabis for opium mandated by OUR government.

If I was your current employer, it wood be a requirement to pass (test positive) the drug test for cannabis. lol

Con your plants look really good outside in the sun.

I just popped Neville's Haze F3 x Thai - some old seeds 4 of 5 have tails.

I remember Dutch skunks very well. To check if it was quality stuff it was enough to smell the baggie. If the smell was coming through, then you know it was the real deal. Good skunk smelled through a backpack even in a baggie and it was a real risk carrying it on public transport. It started slowly disappearing in the noughties if I remember well replaced by the new hybrids. Also conservatives got back to power in Holland and they stepped on the growing scene, which quickly moved to Belgium and eventually to Spain and Portugal, where they started growing different stuff.

Strong smell was also a problem for NorCal growers, they started ditching it in the late 80s and switching to Kushes, Purps and Blueberry. Outdoor or indoor you risked a bust if you didn't have a really efficient filtration system or didn't grow in a remote spot. But cannabis is cyclical like everything else, so I'm not surprised that interest in skunks is coming back. People will eventually get tired of Cookies, Cakes and Gelato and will want something genuinely offensive :)

I have to say the Ice Breaker is a real deal. Small plant with huge buds and very little leaf, that really stinks the place up. I have to ventilate the room 24 hrs a day in order to keep the smell under control. 2-3 sizeable plants in a grow room with no filter could stink up the whole apartment or even a house EASILY!

cool that puppy is just doing her thing... She's just starting to show her true colors............... And looks like the Icebreaker grew outta that weird shit.......

that sounds good we like em stinky I brought the ud in from the refer and was checking it and put it back in the paper bag almost ready anyway I put it in the fridge in the house and when the wife came home she walked in and said woo it stinks in here :laughtwo:

Yeah I'm gonna give her a few more days. This purpling gets more intense the closer she is to harvest I think. Maybe I should put her outside for 2-3 nights to stimulate it a bit.

Ice Breaker really surprised me. This is gonna be my biggest yielder in 6L air-pot :headbanger:

it doesn't take much to get her to show color. The hairs should turn bright orange. But she will purple,, even in warm weather. But cooler temps really set her off......

Most people seem to harvest it alittle too early. Let her go for about 9 weeks.. That seems to be the sweet spot with the one I'm growing........ Cool you got a clone of it... You might like it.

I was impressed with the Ice breaker. Good solid smoke........

9 weeks seems a little bit too long. She’s almost spent at 6 weeks and the buds stopped pumping. But there are few amber trichs, so I’ll let her go another week and then we’ll see :thumb:

I've taken mine early before like 8 weeks when she started ambering,, but I've gotten better smoke letting her go longer... Till I get 60% amber... helps with the yield and the high.. but that me and the one I've been growing.. Takes afew grows to ever really know a plant and what she'll do.. I know you'll do fine with it...

It's a couchlock smoke for sure. I'll see how far she'll go amber in the next couple of days. I've just checked trichs and there was definitely more amber than yesterday.

I'm also a fan of taking plants when I see a 5% amber on every top, but some of these indicas are better when you cut them later. In my experience they have relaxing effect even when you cut them earlier anyway, but I'll let this one go another week and then I'll decide. I'll take some pics tomorrow to show you both gals.

look forward to seeing them the b dog I grew I harvested with very few amber so maybe you can judge from that :)

Yeah it feels like it could’ve gone another week, but it’s a couchlock weed anyway :)

Yeah I know what you mean. I don't have problems sleeping, but It's really hard for me to fall asleep before 1-2 am, so nice heavy smoke helps me start yawning... and these days you really need any help you can get.

Flavour is really nice. I like the smell of this gal especially since I've started getting heavy earthy aromas like coffee & gas. It's definitely berrish though, but sweetness is not as strong as it was a week ago, which is why I also think she's finishing. I harvest by the terps as @Doc Bud does too and it's a real thing. When you keep smelling the plant from the beginning you notice that she undergoes roughly three phases of terp development. Early one is weak and mild and you don't get complexity yet, then in the mid bloom she usually shifts, adds another layer and this changes the spectrum and then you have the last one when she enhances the smell and adds even more aromas and complexity. She won't get better than that and this is usually the sign that she enters the harvest window. You have to wait a few days to make sure that there's no new stuff, but about that time you should prepare for the harvest :smokin2:
