Conradino23 Keeps On Keeping On Outdoor & Indoor Using LOS/High Brix Methods

I leave my sleeves on, and pop the dome once daily to water the cube when it's water is gone, but generally, I'm 100% in 10-11 days, but just a few days ago, I got two, both rooted in 6 days. Woo hoo!

Well if you can water clone in two weeks, that’s a no-brainer. I don’t really clone so I was surprised (again) to see they’d make it with very little care. They say you don’t need a humidity dome with this method, cause plant is able to regulate it by having permanent access to water through the stem and it’s true... I’m thinking a weak solution of compost tea might speed things up or kelp as @bobrown14 said.

I've been water cloning for years now. :)

They'll stay alive in a cup of water for weeks. :slide: And they'll root as soon as you see some little white root "nubbies" - dots of white along the stem.

I take a clone off every plant,,, just incase I find that unicorn...... If it isn't you can always throw them away.. And it's hard to replace a good plant,, even with seeds from the same stock..

I seen alot of people clone in a plastic bag? Works for them.. My cloner doesn't have a dome,, well I do have a dome but it sprays the ends with water 24/7. And I haven't used the dome yet.. Under a fluorescent bulb. They don't like TOO bright a light till rooted... GL my friend..

Yeah I remember. It’s really hassle free method.

Good thinking however you cut it. With variability in seed lines some expressions will be as rare as one on hundred or one on two hundreds, so if unicorn falls into your lap you should keep it.

Lembatoast used to clone in a plastic bag.

Yes he did with very good results.

I get less than 100% with a glass of water but my cloner was getting zero after a while. Cleaning helped but eventually I started getting no roots ever. Not really sure why.

So I switched to how I remember my grand ma doing it. Doesn't always work and it takes longer but it works. The better the genetics the faster the rooting process happens.

I do have a heat mat under mine but its not very warm just slightly warm.

I think the proper way is with cubes or peat pellets soaked in PGRs. I've just got some new organic PGR from England - they don't really sell this stuff in the USA for some reason.

Vitax - organic rooting powder... trying it this time! Just dipped some cuts in the powder then into water. Probably not the way its suppose to work. Next cuts I'll soak some peat pellets in that stuff and try it a proper way.

I came back from Rome yesterday... plants survived, but were a tad dry due to crazy temps. This heatwave is a bit of a pita such early in the season. Bubbas got cat right before I left and they've already started changing the smell. UD is slightly behind and Purple Dog is a slower flowering strain, so I'm waiting a few days more to cat them. I'll snap some pics tomorrow to show you where they are.

So here's a full tent update :theband:

Looking really good there Con.

All the ladies are happy and healthy.

You got your game on and the flowers are getting going!

Heat wave solved with frost warnings. I'm seeing it lol.

GL with heat. One thing you can count on in change in the weather. :passitleft:

Thx guys :)

The heatwave broke for one day. We had some rain and my temps stabilised at 26-27C, which is perfect for heat loving strains. I have a large fan going when the lights are on and tent stays open until they go to sleep.

Next week will be a challenge though, cause another anticyclone is coming and temps will go above 35C for a few days at least, so that means I’ll have a hell inside.

Good thing is, that Bubbas are rather fast, so in 3 weeks I might be able to chop them and that’ll leave me with only two plants to look after :thumb:

It's tough growing indoors without good environmental controls. I did it for my first couple of years in a basement room that would run in the mid 80f range and around 70rh in the summer months. I think my only saving grace was all the sativa genetics I run as they tend to like it hotter and more humid then the indicas.

You definitely have healthier plants than mine though. You always grow the most lovely plants. Hopefully they hold up through your heatwave. I know the Bubba Hash I'm running, I'd be worried about bud rot if my humidity went to high. They grow some dense buds!

How are the Purple Dawg behaving for you? They look nice and healthy.

Hell yeah, I really go balls out on the ventilation now and I don't even try to keep the tent closed during the day. This is how I get good environment. I've had steady RH of 52-57%, that sometimes swings to 60%, which is as good as it gets in my conditions.

Purpe Dog lady is one of the lowest maintenance plants I've ever grown. She hardly even needs pruning, which is sometimes she got from UD for sure. No weird nutrient demands, no drooping, no getting root bound. She just keeps flowering and keeps to herself :)

I keep nitrogen very low as you know and I get there by recycling the soil over and over. Around 3rd run I know exactly how they do with these levels and it really sets stuff apart. Some will want a lot just to grow at normal pace and some won’t ask anything. PD just now started calling for more by cannibalising the bottom leaves, so I catd her. It was the right time I think.

Bubbas look good to, but they’re way heavier feeders and I’m still trying to raise Brix a bit more. But it’s not that easy after all.
