Conradino23 Keeps On Keeping On Outdoor & Indoor Using LOS/High Brix Methods

Definitely, it’s early 90s strain bred from then still strong Skunk #1, Northern Lights #5 and if I remember well A5 Haze a Neville’s Haze cut basically. A soup of very significant lines for Dutch... nope West Coast genetics imported to Holland in late 80s :)

I just pulled 5 sets of leaves from the blueberry and I could only find a few live ones lots of dead ones tomorrow morning im going to soak her down thoroughly and after an hour or so im going to hose her down with the garden hose see if I cant clean this off a bit at least and in the process ill be washing off some live ones maybe some eggs to btw im not seeing many either so im putting a hurt on them!

Good tactics :thumb:

So here's Jack Here #2. She's a heavy looking girl with buds getting tighter every week. I've had problems with the colour of these leaves, but it hasn't really changed since veg although I've tried a lot of things. Recently I changed water for a heavier, spring one and Brix of both JHs went up two points. But it might be just late effect of cat drench or sign of maturity. Whatever it was she's in High Brix region now and it seems I still have time to push her up a point or two, which is good enough for me. I think I'm gonna give her a spoon of lithothamnium with next watering, cause this usually fixes thing in late bloom.

What is weird about both of them is that they drink very little. Fortunately I recognised it just in time to cut down on watering and also started doing it less often giving them more time to dry up, which seems to work very well :thumb:

Have a good one :rollit:

Definitely getting there. Leafy shit though, I have to remove a few leaves every couple of days for better light penetration. She smells like a creamy mango cocktail, classic Skunk # 1 aroma :)

Looking good Con

My last two JH have both been on the lighter green side and faded to yellow around week 5 or 6
Both great smoke, but I prefered the Seedsman over the Green House, it seemed a little stonier.

these are bad pics, but my buddy the Klone King tried his hand at growing out a Green House JH clone I gave him from the top of the one I grew out. The top is almost as big as a 2L bottle. Downside is he uses the dreaded Miracle Grow. I sure hope it burns good, most of his flowering plants are hard to burn and have a black ash.

That’s a monster plant although I’d probably pass on the MiracleGro bud :)

here's Jack Here #2
Just beautiful! :ganjamon::adore: I loving the colour contrast with the light leaves.

So this is ok then, to do that a bit during flower? Tht’s good to know :)

I’m outside and don’t usually remove much at all, but have done a bit more this year. The White Widow (i think you’ve seen it) is growing very thick bushy buds and has a lot of leaf action. I want to take off more leaf to get more sun and warmth in and minimise the botrytis risk as well.

How careful should i be about taking the older large fans? And when you say you do few every few days, is this so it doesn’t stress the plant too much (lowers Brix ect.)? Or is it just how you do it, without any specific reason? :Namaste:

It’s a good question, luv :)

Indoor and outdoor are different. Sun is fierce and has amazing penetration, so outdoor pruning is needed usually in flowering only if there’s a risk of bud rot caused by high RH and to maximise production of the top canopy. But indoor you just have to do it, cause lower canopy grows useless popcorn, so you wanna take this off plant’s list to do. Also leaves cover buds very often, that don’t get enough light this way. You have to work towards horizontal style of growing, cause otherwise you waste your space. I see pruning as a good way to shape up canopy in veg and to help with light penetration to all the top buds. And actually it can help the plant to photosynthesise through concentration of sugars and mobile minerals only in necessary parts. Grapevine growers do the same in the north, they get rid of many of the young grapes to push the plants into focusing on the few to raise the quality of the produce, that then is much better for the winemaker to process. The key is to trim strategically and observe performance of the plant. Sometimes it’s a big help if you can’t understand what the problem is. These JHs have been pain in the arse to be honest and they decided to grow better at the end of 5th week, which is late. But I start understanding slowly what was wrong... salt loving plants :passitleft:

im going to do a drench tomorrow on the sd should I include a spoon of lithotmnium with that?

Definitely, especially if Mg or Ca def shows. I did it today myself with this JH. This also improves terpene production and significantly improves the quality imo :)
