Come Grow With Me: A Beginners Guide

Here's a few pics of the 5 x 5 with 3 Peyote Wi Fi & 2 Cherry on Top. There's also a couple pics of the 3 x 3 with 2 Cherry on Top in 3 Gal. pots. All of these started Flower on V.D. 2-14-21. So around the end of the month I should be getting close to harvest time. All of these girls have budded up nicely. But these damned Peyote Wi Fi keep packing on more & more weight. Normally, we'd love that ... right ? But with these weak stems it's really hard keeping branches tied up. I'm more interested in getting them finished to eliminate the hassle. But they are obviously going to be last to finish.
I have 1 Cherry on top getting yellow leaves with rust spots. Haven't had a plant do that in years. Looks like I need to up the Cal Mag. I would increase MC & SC but I'm at the max the bag shows to feed. 6 gr. MC & 2 gr. SC. with 2 ml. Cal Mag per gal. I haven't checked ppm's in a while now.
What's the max ppm's anyone has fed a plant ?

1800 ppm but I don't recommend that.
Bill

Last time I checked I think mine was around 1050 or 1150 ppm so maybe I can still increase it some. Plants need fed now so I'll up MC by .5 gr. per gal.
What happened when you did 1800 ppm ?
Just filled pot with p & k I had to flush pot twice to get it out. My runoff was 4000 .
Plants were fine though. Minor tip burn.

So here are the buds from the White Widow. She's still just slightly moist in the center so it gets to sit out overnight in a bowl before jarring. The bowl of buds are all decent size buds. The jar is the popcorn. Haven't weighed it yet; but I'm guessing 4 - 5 oz.

And now for your viewing pleasure .... My re-do of the Flower Room. I love the way things came out. Pics go around the room from right to left.
1) Nute Bucket & 6.6 gal. Humidifier
2) Atlas 4 (I have this set where it turns on my exhaust if the Temp gets over 80 F or the Humidity gets over 70%) Other then that my exhaust stays off.
3) Mars Hydro TSW 2000 & 6" Vortex Fan & 18" Filter
4) Mars Hydro TS 3000 & Window AC (Decided to leave window AC in for backup ... just in case)
5) Another Mars Hydro TSW 2000
6) Pic of Room with all 3 lights (sort of)
7) 16" Wall Mount Oscillating Fan (Remote Control & Programmable do it does all kinds of things) Really Cool !
8) My New Portable AC with Heat Pump, Dehumidifier & Fan. (Also Remote Control & Programmable)
9) I'm Ready when the plants are !

ready, set, GO!!!!!
Some were Fem seeds. Some were Bag Seed. All came out female but 2 or 3 turned Hermie & got chopped. Guess I got kind of lucky. I filled my buddy up with clones. He has 2 - 4 x 4 & 2 - 4 x 8 tents that are packed with plants from me. Tried to tell him he didn't want so many; but he wouldn't listen. Now he's going through hell trying to keep up with so many plants.
Just waiting to get all the plants in one tent to start a new grow journal. I'm not a fan of 2000 page journals .... lol.
Do - Si - Dos & Aurora Indica are up next for sure.

Total dry weight on the White Widow is 129 gr. (4 oz. 17 gr.). So far this grow has been depressing yield wise. Only getting 1/2 the yields I was getting till this grow. I really believe it has to do with the V3 MC. I hope the V4 is better.
But I'd rather have V2 back. Had great results with it. Last round for MC if V4 doesn't do better. 4 oz. per plant makes me want to quit growing. Not worth the time that goes into it. 6 oz. per plant I can live with. 8 oz. + per plant every time is what needs to happen. 4 years doing this & $4K in equipment I should be yielding much better.
It seems the more dialed in I make things, the smaller the yield. Let the Temps & RH go all over the place & get big yields. I'm also starting to think all this 77 F & 70% RH is a crock of shit also. Hasn't improved my yields or quality at all. I actually get smaller yields with so called perfect conditions. But with Temps running 79 - 86 F & RH 45 - 55% I yield much better. So I'm not too sure about all this "Weed Theory". I think that has changed with the strains being bred. Kind of like we use to Flush / Now we don't. We use to pH / Now we don't. So in todays grows I think 77 F & 70% RH is old bro science at this point & not as relevant as it once was.
Has anyone else noticed similar outcomes in their grows ? Or is it just me ?

For what it's worth... I don't do much to control humidity at all. I know my winter time grows where I may see mid 60's in the tent (I don't heat all my area) are worse than my summer grows where I may see 78-82 on a regular basis. Also seems like I had better results with the Mega Crop V2 (brown stinky stuff with the little balls) than the V3 (white granular with low odor). I recently switched over to Jack's Nutrients 15-5-20 for Tap Water. Gonna see how it does. If I like it I may buy the 25lb bag since it only cost 2.5x more than the 2.2lb bag and you're getting 11x more. Cost for a gallon of feed that way is about 3¢!

Please fill me in on how it works out. I keep debating going to FF nutes as I'm seeing many others getting great results with it. But I'm open to other nute lines also.

So far so good. Running it on some autos of marginal genetics (good smoke but smaller plants given my previous history growing it using Mega Crop).

I like the concept of the Jack's. It's formulated for use with tap water, which is what I use. In theory it should eliminate upward pH drift of the growing media due to the balance of Amonical Nitrogen to Nitrate Nitrogen. Mega Crop is almost entirely Nitrate Nitrogen and is best used with RO vs my Tap water.

I've never used FF and don't believe I ever will. Almost all of their product line is very high in Phosphorus, which goes against much of the research I have read.

Good to know about the FF nutes. Thanks.
