ColoradoKid Soil Autoflowers - White Widow - Critical Jack - Auto Jack 2014

I may dive into the auto world after these next few grows. May try to pop 4 a month for a continuous Harvest(until the seeds get too pricey for my pockets)

autoflowers are strains that were bred with a strain that naturally flowered automatically but had little potency and so was bred with more potent strains. Modern Autoflowering strains generally have a lower yield but have comparable potency to photoperiodic strains, though arguments to the contrary may exist.

So what's difference from just normal seeds thats been hybreded.

Depends really what it's been hybridised with; autoflowing strains differ from photoperiodic strains in that you don't need to change your lighting regime to induce flowing as it will do it by itself, but you can't really get away with stressing, mainlining or other kinds of growth training because you don't get to keep it in vegetative state long enough for it to recover; it will instead just switch to flowing mode in it's own good time and in spite of your schedule. The convenience of Autoflowers are traded off against yield and customisation.

there are over 180 billion people in these forums who know more than i; i just read a lot. we should cut this here though because im sure we're past the point where it may be considered thread hijacking. have a look around, there's a subforum for almost every query. :)

Autoflowers are produced from a ruderallis cannabis plant that grows wild in countries like russia the natural plant grows flowers and lives its life in any conditions for a short period of time it does not need light or high temps to grow but this plant is to low in thc cbd and other goodies a normal photoperiod plant would have so breeders like nirvana crossed the ruderallis with hybrid skunk strains to produce the original lowryder the first worthwhile automatic marijuana strain but they where still lacking in potency but the automatic trait was so desirable breeders took to developing these strains lowryder was first on the market in 2006 but autos have came a long way since then as I right this I'm puffing on some really nice sweet cheese auto the thc now reaches about the same as a gd quality photo period and the yields not too shabby I've not had under a ounce dry from an auto even had 1.75 ounces in 2months from a fastbud2 auto automatics are wonderful little plants and a lot of breeding has been done I tend to grow 3rd Generation autos and will be sticking with these little ladies there so impressive and such an array of plants I have 2ft plants smell stronger than 4ft plants good things come in small packages as they say :) sorry about rambling wow 750w led nice lighting I wonder if the company ships to UK? :bong:

The strongest meds I use are from autoflowers lol "Highland Skunk"
HS_Nug1.jpg

and it has no Ruderalis genetics what so ever.
The Ruderalis based strains I use are not as potent as smokables but they sure make the strongest edibles I ever had! Also the creeper effect from rudes is mint! My region sucks for outdoor so I breed auto's. If I get a bad batch I make oil or edibles life is good jaaa :)

loving all this talk of the wives giving shit cos of pot smells; my ex would have been all about the moaning and groaning over the smell lol
Good thing you got rid of her, eh :)

Hang on. Wait a sec. I've never heard of an autoflower strain of marijuana that has no Ruderalis genes. Now I'm curious. Can you provide more info? Where did you find these?

Cheers!

Some non Rude plants have autoflower tendencies in pheno's. For example when they bred Brenda Skunk with White Grizzly they encountered some autoflowering pheno's and back crossed it till it was stabilized true autoflower. But Ruderalis was never introduced however I plan to attempt to make a Ruderalis cross with it using LowRyder rudes. Neat eh?

I have never heard of any marijuana plants that have a automatic trait with 0 ruderalis gene I've been following automatics since they intrigued me back in 06 and have spent years reading all there is on cannabis how is there 0 info on a non Rudy bred auto? And why would you then cross it with an early bred automatic? surely you would want to try and transfer the non ruderalis automatic tendancies to a strong strain photo period and have top notch autos? :bong:

Well this has been an interesting day. I see a bit of nitrogen deficiency in my girls. Not enough food for them. What in the world was I thinking? I forgot what I planted them in and thought it was Ocean Forest and they had plenty of nutes. Dang this getting old sucks. So I gave them some water, nutes and some Cal/Mag and will see how they do with that. RH is 32%, Temp is 82F. PH is 6.6 so I guess I could probably bring the RH up a bit too. I hope that everyone has a great day tomorrow. :high-five:
