You know the kits reusable right? Or are you getting another kit to use before the 1st batch harvests?
Winter was pretty good man. Had no sunlight to grow or make power so just took a break. Curious to see how this brix does for you. Think you'll be happy w the results.

Yep, I am aware that it's reusable, I just wanted to get another batch going! Bummer to hear no power but sometimes a break is nice haha. And you were sitting on some pristine smoke so shouldn't have been too bad.

I'm happy to see how it does for me as well. I'm counting on this grow to just get me familiar with how the products are all used and such and then I'll just keep dialing it in grow after grow!

Alright, all of these girls are now in 7 gallon pots. The delicious candy 2 was such a runt with not a very developed root system either so she got pulled and throw back into the high brix soil bin with some roots sprinkled on top. Now I'll let the soil do the rest

All these girls are doing pretty well, I'm just letting them grow right now. I did too the Skywalker again, and defoled one of the tangies which I'm regretting. I should've just let her keep growing too but oh well.

What is up everyone?! Back at ya with another update on these beautiful ladies!

First off these girls are really starting to grow! There is just one thing that I made a pretty big rookie mistake... I pH'd my high brix water when I watered about a week ago.... And that probably wasn't the first time... what a dumbass haha. Anyways, I had mixed up a Rescue Drench about 4 hours before lights came on yesterday. 3 gallons of water, 3 oz Transplant, 6 mL Tea. Fed it to all the girls and this morning they were all perking up and looking happy!!! So the roots are successfully recolonized!

Next I also started some LST on the Skywalker girl to even out her canopy and topped her again as well before the LST.

So I use tap water... I bubble it for over 24 hours though. Is that not enough?

What's up guys! Just a little update of these girls. I transplanted a plant I had in a 1 gal container of reg soil into high brix 7 gal to flower with the other 5 girls. I now have an even 6 girls lol

So I use tap water... I bubble it for over 24 hours though. Is that not enough?

I wouldn't mess with tap. I buy gallon jugs. Unless you can get a report from your water company I would use it. Or water sucks though.

Ah I've been looking. Into RO systems now I might have to get one. Im gonna try and continue this grow with the water I've been using and like I said it's bubbled for over 24 hours. Plants seem happy too. Time will continue to tell ha. Thanks for the reply!

The tap water tastes fine. Im pretty sure its well water that comes from an aquifer right under our house. Anyways, thanks for stopping in Doc! So far LOVING the kit!!

I wouldn't give it a second thought. If you leave your tap water out, it should be perfect. Plants look great!

Doc is there a ppm limit we should stay under for hibrix? Does RO water work? What if your tap has water softner? PH range? Last year I used half and half. Which was half well water that is triple filtered and carbon, also uv and water softener...the other half was spring water from the ground. Does the added bacteria cause a problem? I did this because the tap was 400 ppm and the spring was like 40ppm. Thanks for whatever answers you can give or link in regards to hibrix water.

soft water is a definite no/no. Kapu. Taboo. Forbidden. Soft water takes out minerals by subbing in sodium, which will destroy the soil's CEC.

RO is great! Good well water is better.

It's not PPM of pH we care about. It's Total Alkalinity. If total alkalinity is 120 or below, the water is fine. pH is meaningless.

Ok thanks! So last question. If I bypass my softner for when I garden the calcium will probably shoot back up as my well water is super hard water. Is this still ok long as my total alkalinity is below 120?

Yep! But if your well water is super hard, TA is probably high. Make sure you test it carefully.

Hey Kid, I'm curious about your set up. Is that a portable AC unit in the pics? So do you have your grow tent set up in a small room and the AC unit sitting in that room but outside the tent?
