It all depends on the strain I'm growing at the time but I usually just go by the color of the trichs. when it comes to harvesting. Cloudy white to slight amber & boom they get the chop! And yes, you can flower for to long like Heirloom stated to where the finished product will be less potent as well as tasty.

How's the heat in those greenhouses? The only ventilation openings are at the top hoops on the ends, right?

Hey Major!
The heats not bad as of right now. And you're right, the only ventilation I have is at the top near the roof plus the doors being open during the days which keeps the air moving through both greenhouses just fine. It helps living only 18 miles from the beach where we get coastal winds almost every day whether it be hot out or not.
And as far as budding goes, it's only the Sour Diesel x OG Kush x Hindu Kush mix that's gone into flowering so far with the sativa dominant strains like the Jilly Bean & Silver Fox lagging behind a bit by not even showing any real signs yet & like you I'm waiting to see soon hopefully.

Well, well, well, look what I found munching on the leaves of one of my plants in greenhouse #2 and was a hard find since the little bugger blends in with the background. That's a first for me seeing a green grasshopper/cricket eating my girls leaves & something new I now have to be on the lookout for. Does it ever stop I wonder? Every year it's a new critter coming out of the woodwork to cause me problems. Grrrrr!:lot-o-toke:

A few shots after chopping down my sickly Jade Dragon plant that had some serious stalk rot and replacing it with the G.D.P. x AK-47 gal I had residing in a 10 gal. eco-pot which I just transplanted to whole darn thing into the ground hoping for the best as always.:blunt:
