Cobs or LED?

The best frame I've seen is 1x1" T Slot aluminum.
Strong, lite and easy.
Heat sinks connect right to it with T Nuts anywhere with no drilling.
Plain old aluminum L channel works well also but it needs to be drilled.

A strip I would like to see is 24" long, 100 diodes, 94 of them 4000k Samsung LM301B, 4 Cree XP-G3 photo red, and 2 IR or UV.

I have 2 lights that I am working on right now that are going to be 2x2 square with 8 strips.
I am going to be dimming these down by about 40% because at full power they would be way too much light, something like 1700 PPFD, I want to dim them down to about 900 to 1000 PPFD which should get around 2.9+ Umols/j

But if I ever move and have a larger growing space i can easily just spread the same 8 strips out and crank them up to full power to get the same 1000PPFD in a much larger space all with the same light.
My efficiency would drop from close to 3 umols/j down to about 2.7 umols/j but that's it.
Thanks for the feedback. We will take it into consideration.

We are on the same page on the strip design. We won't disclose it right now but we are speaking the same language.

I've researched over the year, and the deal is now I'm jumping on. The Grower's Choice ROI-680 normally $999 but go to Lexblazer on youtube and has a discount code. 750 PAR in the corners for that light!!! Even canopy. Either that or the Chilled V3 4x4 LED pucks with the emerson (far red spectrum enhancer) and the exotic board (UVA light) AND add at California Lightworks UVB light too in the cracks to cover the 4x4 area.
