Thanks for the feedback. We will take it into consideration. The best frame I've seen is 1x1" T Slot aluminum.
Strong, lite and easy.
Heat sinks connect right to it with T Nuts anywhere with no drilling.
Plain old aluminum L channel works well also but it needs to be drilled.
A strip I would like to see is 24" long, 100 diodes, 94 of them 4000k Samsung LM301B, 4 Cree XP-G3 photo red, and 2 IR or UV.
I have 2 lights that I am working on right now that are going to be 2x2 square with 8 strips.
I am going to be dimming these down by about 40% because at full power they would be way too much light, something like 1700 PPFD, I want to dim them down to about 900 to 1000 PPFD which should get around 2.9+ Umols/j
But if I ever move and have a larger growing space i can easily just spread the same 8 strips out and crank them up to full power to get the same 1000PPFD in a much larger space all with the same light.
My efficiency would drop from close to 3 umols/j down to about 2.7 umols/j but that's it.
We are on the same page on the strip design. We won't disclose it right now but we are speaking the same language.
