Then I will spend another 150USD on 2020 T-slot profiles as my frame.

I ended up building my frame out of 15x40mm square tube profiles, im happy with the result
Running the cobs without the protection of the lens is not an option for me, the cobs wouldent have lasted a week
I see the kingbrite lenses spread the light close to 180degrees and not the 80 degres they are specified with, for my next build ill look into using a flat sheet of 2mm clear polycarbonate or glass as a cover under the cobs or glued in place on top of open reflectors, im sure that will be a better solution.

10mm hole on the outside and 5mm hole against the Cobs, c/c 20mm, then screws into the cobs and 10mm plastic plugs to cover the outside hole;
