Chump's First Indoor

Found this thread via your closed thread. Nice looking plants and I like the info on the edibles. Hoping to be able to grow enough to try out some cooking. I'll be watching.:peace:

We finished up the rest of the cookies today. My wife ate 2 of them and has been sleeping almost all day. They're pretty heavy. It's kind of wierd getting cotton mouth like out of nowhere. It takes about an hour for them to kick in. I would decribe it as feeling a bit drunk, and high.

The recipe I used is just like a chocolate chip cookie recipe, except I replaced the chocolate chips with Heath bar chunks. And of course cannabutter was in place of regular butter. It was pretty good, but they tasted a bit strong with weed-ish flavor. It would be nice to make something that hides the taste better. Or maybe I just need another recipie that will blend the flavors better.

I got a bubbler for Christmas, it's sweet.

Hopefully I'll get another picture update tomorrow or so. The plants are getting plump, and seem to be loving life!

Thanks for stopping by MDVL!
I'm going to flip through the recipie books this week and see if I find any. How many cookies do you have to eat to feel it when you use 1 cup per batch? I would love to make it so you only have to eat 1 or 2 cookies.

"her brownies were so good, I could eat 1 of them" Cheech says, in Santa and His Old Lady.

well for me i eat 1 or 2 but i find it much better to make cannabutter with top quality weed.. i made soem butter that was a different strain then what we grow and it was not nearly as potient as the first ones i made.

Day 51
Day 37 of flower

Diesel has red stems, and smells completly different then the other 2. The oder is becoming more defined.

Big Bang is not producing the crystals yet.

Thanks, it is really cool. I love seeing and smelling the difference between strains. I'm glad there are places to get single seeds so you're not stuck with one strain.

I wish the red branches showed up in the pics. Diesel smells real chemically (if that's a word). I heard one of it's decendents is a strain called Chemdog. It doesn't smell like weed, almost like something else. The other 2 smell like ganja.

Oh yeah, yesterday (I wish I got pics) all the leaves around the buds of both Diesel, and Aroma were sticking almost straight up. I've never seen that before, and was hoping to get a pic of it, but it was crazy around here yesterday. If they do it again, I'll try to get a pic. Anybody ever see that before?

They "reach for the sun" like that when they're really happy ;).

I've also seen it happen soon after watering. I think they think it's raining and raising their leaves up like that helps to collect as much rainwater as possible.

I think the Diesel got it's name because it smells like diesel fuel, so sounds like you got the real deal!

Coolness! thanks for stopping by Sun, I really like hearing from you. Everyone else too, but it's just that you were one of the first to stop by my last journal. You're like an old friend now. ;)

Yeah the Diesel I got is from Dinafem. I know there is NYC Diesel from Soma, and Sour Diesel by someone else. So far I like the Dinafem version. You really can see, and smell the difference. Diesel has thin (sativa like) leaves, red branches, and the powerful smell. I'm stoked :slide:

Hi Young Lady I'm jumping on the Diesel train too. I do believe that is one hell of a cola she is making. :grinjoint:
I too like the fact we can buy one seed at a time. It lets us small timers have variety. Your doing a great job. + reps for your good job.:peace:

That made my whole day ;).

I was very glad when you decided to hang around and journal your first grow here, but I didn't know we would become good friends like we have.

I love to come visit ;).

I like sativas. I wish things were reversed and they were short and easier to grow indoors instead of indicas.

Not sure how tall the Dinafem Diesel is supposed to get indoors, but if you're able to manage it, it's going on my list :grinjoint:

How cool would it be if we could all hang out and sample eachothers work?

I think Dinafem Diesel is 60% sativa, so it's really more like a sativa dominant. I think it will be managable. It's only a little taller then the others, and I only tied it down once. The other 2 are tied up in 2 or 3 places.

I don't know why more people arn't growing this stain. I can't find anything on the web about the Dinafem version. Maybe cause they're all too baked to write about it. ;)

Maybe here in the future we will also try the Diesel. I am impressed with the Dinafem seeds we have had so far. My fav is the Moby Dick. We "sampled" some Afghani and some God Bud the last 2 days. I think we need a choir practice get together...lol. Your buds are coming along great, can't wait to see them put on some weight. Keep em green!

thanks! I like the choir practice idea.

Did your Moby Dick have red stems, or anything else that set it apart from your other strains? Just wondering, because I've heard that some seed companies' strains will still carry some of the same properties. Like if they use the same mother or fathers to breed with. Yeah, so far I'm impressed with Dinafem also.

I love talking about different strains, but there is hardly no action in the strain, seeds, and clone forum. I go there browsing around after checking my user cp, and there might be 1 or 2 new posts a day.

It would be way cool! I think it was GMT that mentioned sitting around a table with a lazy susan in the middle filled with our samples.

Yeah, that would be cool :grinjoint:

I researched the strain and yeah, it's a 60/40 hybrid that grows to medium height indoors. I'm going to be very interested in the smoke report on that one :ganjamon:

The bigger fan leaves had/have red/purple stems. The main trunk appears normal though. The one that is strange is the Strawberry Blue. Both have normal looking main trunks accept the bottom 2-3 inches. It actually looks like greenish brown birch bark. Horizontal pattern around the trunk instead of verticle pattern. As far as talking about strains, seeds and cloning, we'll just have to continue doing it here then.. :)
