I bounced the idea back and forth, then finally realized that I should just start here with the beginning of this and not start a second thread. It's going to be bred into Phuggen Shruntal Cortex after it's stabilized, so here goes nuthin'..... :straightface:

What strain is it? 10 regular seeds - Verdant Green's C4DD, which is Chem D x (Chem 4 x Chem D IBL).

Is it Indica, Sativa or Hybrid? Hybrid.

Is it in Veg or Flower stage? Started seeds germinating today at 11:00 A.M.

If in Veg... For how long? N/A.

If in Flower stage... For how long? N/A.

Indoor or outdoor? Indoor.

Soil or Hydro? Soilless.

If soil... what is in your mix? SSM#4 Advanced.

If soil... What size pot? 4" at first, then I'll transplant to 2 gallon pots.

Size of lights?
- Seedling: Blue spectrum 96 watt fluorescent T5 fixture (4 two-foot bulbs; 24 watts each).
- Veg: 200 watt blue spectrum CFL.
- Flowering: 400 watt Eye-Hortilux HPS w/switchable Lumatek ballast, or 600 watt Eye-Hortilux HPS w/dimmable Phantom ballast.

Is it aircooled? Flowering unit - 8" inline fan with air cooled reflector, 120 mm fan w/odorsok.

Temp of Room/cab? around 81.5 degrees F.

RH of Room/cab? 42%.

PH of media or res? Don't check.

Any Pests ? Gnats.

How often are you watering? I expect to water and feed alternately 2 times a week.

Type and strength of ferts used? Probably FF, but maybe GO.

By a cool tip I read on Graytail's thread, I looked at the seeds before I put them in the wet paper towel to see the ends. If that tip's correct, then there will be an even amount of male and female plants (5 and 5, with two of the females being iffy). I should get at least 3 females to work with. Post pics when they pop the soil! :tokin:

Note: All 10 of the C4DD seeds ranged from cracked open and showing white to having 1/16" tails this morning. I usually wait until the tails are about 1/4" long to plant the seedlings, but they've been over 2 days germinating. I wanted to get them all into soil, which I did (Roots Organics soil, 4" plastic pots). They're under a 125 watt blue spectrum CFL now, but I have a feeling some of them won't come up. :(

I wish I wouldn't have run it the first few weeks under a low wattage CFL, though. Oh well too late now :straightface: Here's the C4DD grow at 5 days from seed:

At 24/0 under this 125 watt CFL, I have to keep the light right on top of them to avoid stretch. It seems to be working so far. Oops forgot to lower the light back down after this pic BRB! :)

It's down again whew!

Tomorrow will be 7 weeks of 11/13 (11.5/12.5 now, due to noticing how much weed I lost with the shortened light schedule on my other plants). That would be about 5-1/2 weeks since the first hairs, and the ones before this have been chopping at about 10 to 11 weeks, so it's probably about halfway. I already lost ground on it because I got ascared of the stretch these things go through and run it under that weak 200 watt CFL for close to 3 weeks until it hardened off (blue spectrum too, to avoid stretch even more). After that I put it under my 600 watt HPS.
I wound up bending it over anyway I just lost weed, not height! Me and my bright ideas..... :(
