Chef's Perpetual Spot Featuring Viparspectra

"Fairly poor" pics of fantastically frosty buds are way better than fantastic pics of fairly poor buds!
Thanks shed. It’s starting to take on that jolly rancher smell too. I think after a month cure or so it’ll be the sweet, sticky candy aroma we all know and love from BCp

Hey gang,

Sorry for the silence, but I’ve got some fun news. I fell my Black Cherry Punch this morning. It was day 52 and she already had a good smattering of amber with no or very little clear trichomes.. so I went for it. The breeder page and every other resource I’ve seen says 65-72 days, but I just didn’t see that happening at all. Her water intake had slowed dramatically, all of her leaves had turned and she stopped putting out white pistils. That coupled with the trichomes made me decide to call it. Here are some photos.

Really stoked on this cultivar. For the bag appeal and turn around time she can’t be beaten. It will definitely come down to effects and aromas/flavors after a good cure. Also the buds are rock hard and there’s not any larf to be found. I’d credit @ViparSpectra with a lot of these results. Their xs4000 is extremely bright and so efficient it runs very cool. ViparSpectra makes it absurdly easy to get professional level results and their panels are a great value for their low prices. I’m over the moon with my new Viparspectra setup, and I know I won’t be changing for a long long time to come.

Now there are only two bushes in my flower tent but that’s going to change tonight. I’m going to have to get the twisted helix under control and flip her Into the big tent. She’s very much gotten away from me. :peace:
Beautiful BCP harvest Chef! I tasted some that Van Stank grew a few years back and it was some of the tastiest and had a great high too! Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving otter! I gave it a test and it got my quite high but it’s got a long way to go yet.

Happy Thanksgiving Chef! Whatever you're cooking it's 100x better than what we're having at my cousin's house. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I hope you enjoy the day with your family and friends!
Thanks shed! I hope your cousins food is at least edible. My wife and I are just having a quiet night in together. I’m making the full spread for a portion of 2. It’s so nice and quick :cheesygrinsmiley:

@ChefDGreen Thank you for showing us a wonderful journey under ViparSpectra XS4000, and congratulations on your big harvest. :cheer:

Tough to get a good picture with that @BESTVA LED light shining down like the sun!

Not sure but the 5KC appears as though she is going to start foxtailing.

The killer A5 Haze genetics will do that definitely. Hazes always foxtail really hard. It looks to be a pretty even split of both parents

I harvested that Sour Livers plant last week and thought to snap a couple pictures of the roots today when busting up the root ball to reuse the ProMix. I personally was not surprised with the roots. If my memory serves me right I think @InTheShed had mentioned he would be interested in seeing these. I bought 2 of these pots at the nursery to see how they worked. After seeing these roots I'll have to go buy more.

I was probably interested in seeing how far down the roots extended in those tall pots. Thanks for posting it beez!

Looks like they went all the way to the bottom. I know I would pour half of her water/nutrients in the saucer for her to suck up and the rest on top so I was pretty confident there were roots to the bottom.

Well, I’ve been AWOL for quite some time now… Job changes and studying really has sucked all my free time away. Sorry about that.

Here’s where we’re at today.

Bag seed #2 came down a couple of days ago. She turned some nice purples with striking orange pistils, and frosty.

Bag seed #1 is still going strong. I reckon she’ll be ready on Monday or so of next week. She’s getting her flip on.

Bag seed 3 got extremely lanky and out of control in the veg tent, so I had to do some very creative training. She’s been in flower for probably 3 weeks now

And bag seed 4, same deal but less out of control

There we go, back up to date.. sorry folks!

That #2 is really pretty stuff.

Sorry about the job changes. What are you studying? Is the studying related to the job changes or something else?

Frosty. Nice.

Yeah she’s very nice looking. I’m starting to feel like these bottled nutrients are making all my flowers similar in aroma though. It’s something I want to test with the BCP.
Busy's not a bad thing Chef! Sweet gardening!
Yeah so far busy has been pretty good. Thanks! I’m trying to tend to things as best I can with what little time I have.

Sorry about the job changes. What are you studying? Is the studying related to the job changes or something else?

Frosty. Nice.
The studying is related to a future job change I plan to make. For now I’m still in the kitchen. I’ve taken a sous chef position in a fine dining restaurant in a very nice hotel. I’m studying soil food web science so I can advise on transitioning to no til organic systems via microscope analysis and proper compost building.

Thanks HG!
Love the colors on #2 (which doesn't sound right) and #3 (which luckily is not a thing) has the serious sativa thing going on!

You're just saying that because it looks like your Neville.
;)
Yeah I’ll maybe take some better shots of the dried buds… at some point. #3 is not really a Sativa, it just got really tall from being in veg for months. I flipped it and let it go straight up before I trained it into the ring you see there. I don’t think it’s that heavy sativa, but I guess i could be wrong.. only smoking it will really tell
