CS spray makes the foliage look really sad. I figure the most important parts to treat with CS are where growth is going to come in right? So in the joints of the leaves and branches.
also you can save a ton of CS that way, as well as not getting it on the flowers you plant to smoke.

From my experience once I see a good number of pollen sacks I suspend the application of the CS. It's done it's job and the plant will continue to produce more pollen sacks. And remember, if you want a ton of seeds keep the treated branch on the plant. If you want a controlled pollination remove the treated branch once the pollen sacks start to open and put it in a secluded part of your living area in a vase away from your flowering girls. Then collect the pollen each morning and apply it by hand. No need to "waste" good smokable buds at the top of the plant when the larfy bottom buds will produce seeds just as well.
Paint your female until you know you’ve got viable pollen sacs.

thanks for that! I haven’t made up my mind completely, but I most likely will remove it and keep it alive in water while I harvest the pollen. Even though it would be fun to do a 1000+ seed run like you did on your garlic sherbert. I’m quickly coming to that bridge and will need to make a decision soon.
I’ll kee painting until I see a very good number of clear, healthy looking pollen sacs. At that point I’ll cut it off. I can’t be that far off to be honest.

Thanks. I tried spraying this summer and got her to turn, but I think I sprayed all over the sacs and plant and they were all duds. I'm going to brush it on stems only next time and see what happens.
Once removed branches will continue to develop normally for a week or more.
That's what I was hoping. To cut the branch and collect pollen from a glass of water. Good to know!

Correct. I checked again last night and each node on that branch has exploded with nuts. We should have plenty of pollen in a couple short weeks.High Chef
Have you seen the movie 'O Brother, where art thou" with George Clooney? They had a band called the Soggy Bottom Boys. Their one song is fantastic and leads in well at the end of the movie.
